I like the fact that the Apple Carplay doesn’t take up the whole screen. That allows me to control some other things right from the main screen. Once you expand that Apple Carplay screen, you lose the ability to do anything else and let you switch back to the main screen again. What would be perfect is if you could expand and contract the Apple Carplay screen at will. When that happens, then I’ll be the first one to buy it.
That's a fair comment from your point of view.
Majority of people prefer full screen view and when we do it, you don't loose the ability to switch between the car menu and CarPlay.
I'm not sure why you think that is so you are welcome to visit us and we will give you a full demo.
I hear you. Like I said, if you could switch back-and-forth between Apple Carplay, fullscreen, and Apple Carplay 2/3 screen. That would be perfect. Right now when Apple Carplay is going, I can still look over and see what radio station is on and change it if I want. Once I switch over to your system in order to change the radio station or see what radio station is playing I would have to go back into the main menu and then select media. (Or I could use the Porsche button to go back one step). I realize I could use the button on the steering wheel to move the radio station one over. But that does not allow me to see what’s playing or move backwards.

I understand your preference but it's unusual one.
If you are using the Porsche Navigation in full screen mode it would be the same thing.
But there are ways around it.
You could use steering wheel controls with information on the instrument cluster to check for radio information etc.
Or you can install radio apps and use it all from CarPlay so then you don't need to change between CarPlay and Porsche menu.
At the end of the day it is a matter of preference.
FYI: All new Porsche models have Full Screen CarPlay as standard.
