I have a 65" sony with ac adapter ACDP-240E01. I could actually smell it over heating. Looks to be at the connection from the adapter to the tv. Haven't actually opened up yet to see if its something I could repair

Greeting from Thailand and thanks for this video.
Would you advise me where to buy that DAP019D? My adaptor is broken and the IC is cracked as same as mosfets.
I could not find this IC inThailand. And wonder if IC L5119D can be use instead?

Hi. I love your country. I've been there more than 5 times.
I'm not sure about L5119D but you can easily buy DAP019D on Aliexpress.

I've got the exactly the same power supply for a Sony TV the TV started blinking a few weeks back I tested it with the multimeter I'm getting the correct voltage but the amps are very low 2 or 3 amp confusing to think the correct voltage is 19.5v could this be easy fix with a new power supply or do scrap the TV. 👍👍

Probably the capasitors in your PS lost some capacitance and it cant deliver enough power. I would try to repair PS or get a new one before scraping TV.

I would have liked to see how you came to fine that the Resistor was bad.

I will try to show the whole process next time. That resistor was obviously burnt. Also you can verify value with multimiter.
