I've spent the last 10 yrs living/working in an otr semi truck and have travelled through Colorado on several occasions. We have worked with law enforcement, transporting oversize loads throughout the country and have always appreciated the assistance provided by law enforcement. You have a very tough job. Every time I hear or see a police car racing with lights on, I say a prayer for that officer and all other police enforcement and their safety. I pray for victims of crime. Remember, 90 % of the population are thankful that you are out there. Persevere in your good works.

I'm a nurse, and can tell you that being able to find the funny in the bizarre things that nurses and cops see is important to career longevity and psychological health. There are some very funny nurses too. (I'm told I make nursing funny by my students.)

This was kinda funny. The only cops I ever really had problems with were the young ones. They often have something to prove and can't think for themselves.
It takes 3yrs to actually learn the job in the field as a cop an another 2yrs to establish your technic of job execution so all an all 5yrs to entirely learn law enforcement. The young officers are usually anxious an are called COWBOYS which usually comes about in the 1-2nd year. These cops are trained an taught to do the job an usually do it well but they are anxious. Law enforcement is executed applying FACTS only. There's no conclusions or falsely reporting done an if you do falsify a report you will be caught an will be terminated an prosecuted. There are unworthy bad cop the administration does know it an will get rid of him/her. The job as a cop owns you. You no longer have the freedoms you had as a civilian.
