Cliff did not died he's still alive in our hearts
Thank you for this! We all needed this! Rest In Peace CLIFF!! You are greatly missed!!!!
Cliff was true musician. He is the reason i picked up guitar. First time I heard Anesthesia 1983 Metro, I was lying on my bed with broken leg in the late hours. My jaw dropped and Istarted crying . And every time i hear Anesthesia I imagine Cliff slowly headbanging on the stage. Rip true artist.
John Myung best bass lines? He’s soo good.
Agreed. He's like Petrucci in the respect that they both play incredibly well and make it look effortless. Makes sense that they play together!
Woooow Genio!!! Cliff fue uno de los mejores bajistas y lamentamos siempre el trágico destino! Excelente homenaje!
0:07 "...Cliff Burton was the former bassist..." No he was their second bass player and was succeded by the next former bassist, Jason Newstead.
You know former dosnt mean 1st... former just means old, or used to be. ..
@@seaofcheese9928 He used the definite article.
well, cliff will always be seen as the main bassist from metallica
Wow Charles, so authentic, you really get it.
I don’t think I have seen or heard anyone really nail pulling teeth, those bits you played were certainly on the money, cheers mate.
Happy Birthday, Jason!!! You r one of the greatest Bass players of all time!! Nothing but respect!!!😁
2:14 he actually did tapping technique back in 1983 when he was playing anesthesia (pulling teeth)
Best Cliff bassline ever is the distorted "chorus" part of Orion
I was very sad that that riff wasn't included. I wanted to see Charles's right hand attack that pattern. Glad he included the solo though
2:00 That’s not what Cliff plays in Battery.
I’m loving these videos that don’t go into a complete tapocalypse, great stuff man
*slow clap* This video gained you my respect and a subscription. Well done, sir!

Idea: Group bass/guitar battle
My first concert was Metallica in 1986 (I was 16) opening for OZZY about 10 weeks or so before he passed. Cliff was phenomenal!
I didn't really appreciate what he brought to the music world until I got older.
Thank you. That was awesome. I discovered Metallica when I was 16 in 86. I bought M.O.P. and fell in love. Cliff is the reason I learnt bass rather than guitar. Well done Charles.
Man, that too live is to die part was something else to hear. Brought back some good feels. That star spangled banner was good too.
Thank you so much for doing this segment. “To live is to die” was beautifully played.
Thank you Charles. Many lists do not include Cliff due to his short time on this planet. Cheers M8 for putting his gift front and center. Garage Sales Days is a great album to get the feel of what he was trying to achieve. Master of Puppets was my very first CD I ever owned.
Masterful video brother! Amazing work Charles!
To live is to die is something all metal heads hear and its like a call to a moment of silence. Its so beautiful.
DUDE! THis was fucking awsome! So happy to see you play some metallica. Very well done!
Agreed about the Hendrix comparison! People would call that blasphemy, but I think it's true.
Really enjoyed this video! It's great to see Cliff's playing isolated so you can appreciate just how cool it is.
How come I can’t click like each time I watch this? Love how you capture the cool rhythm of the right hand plucking and those wah splashes he was known for.
So awesome... Thank you for that. Brings me back to so many memories. Updated version.
