When charles makes a video called "can i play..." All he really means is "I got really bored so i learned these songs enjoy"
It’s not that you are able to play these, it’s how you play them. So clean, no fret noises, perfect timing, clear and punchy sound and you can hear every single note. Amazing.
As a total novice in the arena of slap bass....YOU, my friend,... are Stellar! Not only to imitate but to originate!! There is something earthy and organic about the bass guitar....and I admire anyone who has the control of the language of music.....you are Special!! Love your channel.....KUDOS!
Best bass content on the web IMO. Been playing for over 20 years, finding your page has brought me back into trying to learn new techniques and sharpen already existing ones. Been keenly watching what you do trying to steal some pointers so I hope the videos never stop!

Charles, you are an inspiration. I have been playing bass 40 years. You took the several of toughest and most iconic bass solos, from some of the best bassists in the world, and played improved and better sounding versions of them all, in a beautifully understated way, as if it was nothing.
