My wife and I think we can do with a little less sugar though, so on my next batch I'll reduce the sugar and honey volume by 50%. This recipe yielded 12 - 4'-5" pancakes. Hey there Kent, as I saw this video come up on my feed I am probably only a few hours from making some pancakes here in my homestead. My wife and I like all kinds of pancakes but my favorite lately is one I came up with based upon my tortilla recipe. If you feel like trying it out, I'll share with you:
    - 1/3 cup of Masa Harina
    - 2/3 cup white flour
    - 1.5 tsp Baking Powder
    - 1/2 tsp salt
    - 1/4 cup corn oil
    - 1/5 cups of milk
    - 2 large eggs, beaten
You know whaat to do with the ingredients but this recipe makes some delicious corn flavored pancakes that are amazing with syrup or honey on them. The mixture of the savory and sweet just works out. Also, if you leave out the milk and eggs and add in 5 oz. of water, you can make some delicious tortillas. They hold together better than full corn tortillas and they are much more flavorful than all white floured one.

A perfectly seasoned cast iron pan is such a thing of beauty!!! Ohhh, it's gonna be breakfast for supper tonight! Maybe I'll even do a little dance 😅😅 Clabber Girl is the standard baking powder for me, with Rumford baking powder right behind. Love and appreciation from Maine.

I use, and currently have the original Clabber Girl baking powder in my cabinet right now. Best thing for pancakes in my opinion, but never tried baking powder and baking soda together in a pancake batter…but you know I’m gonna start using both now! Thank you for sharing these recipes with us!

These are the absolute best pancakes I have ever had! The baking soda really made them good! I made a half recipe (like in the video) and got eight people size pancakes and four silver dollar pancakes for my two dogs. Kent's recipes are always great but he outdid himself with this one!

Clabber girl has aluminum in it, that's why I switched over to Rumford baking powder. It works just the same. :) Your recipe looks great, thank you for sharing! Sometimes, I don't have time to make a sourdough sponge the night before, so this will come in handy on those not so prepared mornings! God Bless you, and Yours, and God Bless all our service folks!!

With Bisquick the pancake comes out like biscuit not fluffy & soft.

I have to eat gluten-free now, so my hubs has turned into quite the gluten-free baker just for me 💕...
He makes the best pancakes with Bob's Redmill 1-4-1 GF flour in the light blue package. He also likes to add honey. We are also Clabber Girl fans for both their baking soda & baking powder. It never fails... Though we do, however, also like to use HEB's brand of aluminum-free baking powder when we can get it (sorry you don't have HEB stores in your part of Texas/OK 😕).
And regarding duck eggs??? YES!!!!! We have one girl Campbell duck we care for who gives us a hearty large-jumbo egg almost daily 💕. I grew up on duck eggs, & they're the best. Better than chicken eggs, IMHO - but I still love my sassy chicken girls who give us eggs daily, too (btw, Jersey Giants are the BEST for producing XL-Jumbo eggs!!).
    - Also another good pancake tips is to use agave nectar if you don't have pure maple syrup available 😁.

As an amputee it was a bad thing for me when International House of Pancakes went out of business.
The best pancakes I ever ate were from this little diner in Rifle, Colorado. It was the early 1980's and we were looking for a house for a job that never actually worked out, but I was super hungry that morning and I ordered a 3 stack of pancakes.
Now this diner catered to mostly farmers, and this was not the kid's menu (I was 11 or 12, and quite small for my age) so I was a bit shocked when I got my food, these pancakes were huge. But they were really good, and I was really hungry and I ended up cleaning my plate.
This really impressed the waitress who asked me if I put them in my wooden leg.
Now I don't think she actually knew I was an amputee so she was just a bit shocked when I took it off, looked inside and said, "Nope."
What did she expect if she asked such a question of a kid who actually has a wooden leg. Even if it's not actually wooden. "Wooden" being just another word for "fake".

This one is a repeat from a previous video from Kent, without detailing to entire context here, I asked our driver which side of the chicken coup the egg would roll when the rooster laid the egg! Totally blind sided him. I ask this of some servers when they bring my bacon and egg breakfast. Some get it, but, most don't. Grins and giggles when they finally do get it!

I've been making my mom's old recipe cookbook version for a long time. I wanted to try out a new one. This is amazing! I used to have 8 of my mom's pancakes every Sat morning. 8 of Kent's are too much for me, the honey and the pancakes being fluffier causes more syrup to be absorbed. Have to cut back to 4 of Kent's instead, just too rich!
