I checked the car today and he was there two wires broken and I done the same thing exactly like you did and the I try the car and now work's perfect thank you very much for the video you save me lots of money thank you
Those wires are the actuator motor wires, seemingly they heat up and break, heat up due to actuator gearbox struggling to move actuator arm. On my failed actuator, I had one broken wire and gearbox teeth were chewed up. The reason for the actuators failing is STICKING TURBO VANES. Easily check. Remove circlip from actuator ARM. slide of turbo vane arm. Move turbo vane arm UP and DOWN. Should move freely. If not then turbo needs decoked. Then check internals of actuator. Pay attention to any free play on ACTUATOR ARM. ie when removed the circlip. Gently try move the arm attached to actuator. Should be no movement, fixed, or atleast very minimal movement. Mines had 5 movement.
So it's not the actuator that will fk your turbo, keep replacing the actuator with a turbo vane seized issue and you will end up with a buggered turbo. Check the turbo vanes for free movement. Must be free movement.
Hello Yoganan Very good Viedo and also well explained, that helped me a lot. Only the drilling with the 2mm drill is not quite clear to me. Can you tell me where you drilled and especially how deep you drilled into the plate. That would help me a lot. I tried soldering, but it only lasts a few days. And I was afraid to drill into the plate. It would be great if you could let me know. Best regards from Switzerland (Zurich) Beat
Great video mate. Good info. I see Hella actuators are being sold by prestige parts in Oldham. These are hella actuators not the nasty fake crappy Chinese versions. Any thoughts? 👍👍
This process is a temprary fix, u can do it a few times over & over eventually it will slowly kill the turbo & cause the vanes to holt. Best to buy a reconditioned turbo unit from internet & get a local mechanic to fit it. & whilst your at it buy an swirl flap emulator from ebay and connect on the connector & your good to go for years to come 😁
Frederic Borne Any routine car code reader will clear the code fore you easily £20 cost fore a Decent car code reader, most work on all cars with a computer plug in terminal, but occasionally they need your make of car, but only rarely, if you have the broken wire in actuator easily repairable with a solder iron, clear code after you have fixed the actuator
I have an underboost problem but intermittent, I turn off the car, turn it back, I have power again. I saw another similar video were they show how the contact sometimes works and sometimes not, I opened my actuator and looks good, the contacts are tight, any suggestions?
Worm screws defective. I see on Ebay that hella actuators are now being sold as a complete unit. These are not the nasty Chinese fake crappy parts, but hella. I have the same issue as you and have decided to try an actuator from prestige parts in Oldham' and see if it works. £125 against a recon turbo at £750.
nice video bro :) ... i have a same problem with my CLS 320 cdi Diesel .. im from Germany so sry my englisch is not so good .. you are 100% this problem is no power wenn i kickdown ???

very useful video, thanks for sharing!
God willing, good video MB is ripping us off for a 4K bill for this job.
Glad i can be of help.
@@ickyyes Thank you for this video tutorial. These 3 parts for VGT x2 and actuator X1 are usually the culprits for early back pressure problems.
They would sell to you a new turbo 🥹

Hi Thank you for this video. The reason why you cant solder is because its aluminium.
Aluminium wire and zinc coated contacts which lead based solder will not adhere to,
Grazie
Mercedes has been building for 120 years but don't give away free code readers out with each purchase
Hi Yoganan good video thanks i would like to know how to clear the code ? do i need a specal tool for that or computer ,?

Mercedes is not for poor people.
Says salty guy who just got 2.5k Scammed
Glow plug light came on. Like mine. Any idea's??
Glow plug or plugs is broken. Or glow relay is broken. You can repair relay.

Could be a faulty crankshaft position sensor.
Found it? I have the same

I have p0244, taken off actuator but all in tact, any ideas anyone?
Worm gear is knackered.
You still have a Problem, your Glow Plug light came on after you repaired it
That may be the typical Mercedes P6070 which is for the power amp for the glowplugs
They use this when they factory connect pads ua-cam.com/video/FRvECYvlaT0/v-deo.html
Mercedes / Hella's Build Quality is Disgraceful and Shameful.
I can't believe all the turbo codes very flustered
