Re: Buick Woody - this video took me back 65 years. I lived near a convent and the nuns owned a 1953 Buick Roadmaster Woody just like this; it even had its own garage. I can still see and hear in my memories. I would so love to see this car in person.
Now that was when America 🇺🇸 was at its finest. You can’t get no better than that. Mr. Smith and his wife and children did a great 👍🏾 and wonderful job on the restoration of that 53 Buick Beach 🏝️ 🏖️ Wagon Station 🚉 Wagon.
That 53 Buick Woody Wagon puts these new over hyped cars 🚗 🚘 🚙 minivans and SUV’s 🚙 to shame. I’d still choose and pick an Antique, Classic and Vintage Ride over today’s new rides any day or any time whatsoever Dennis.
Mr. Smith have quite a collection of Antique, Classic and Vintage Rides again my hat’s 🎩 off and two thumbs up 👍🏾 👍🏾 to him and his wife and sons on the excellent restoration on the 53 Buick Woody Beach 🏝️ 🏖️ Wagon Station 🚉 Wagon. One day I’ll play and win the Mega Millions or Powerball Jackpot 🎰 or play them both and win 🥇 🏅 🏆 both Jackpots get a much bigger house and a very large chunk of land property for a climate controlled warehouse garage and start a collection of my own of Antique, Classic and Vintage Luxuriously, Luxurious, Luxury Rides, Muscle Cars and Fully Equipped, Fully Functional, Fully Loaded, Fully Powered Beach 🏝️ 🏖️ Wagons Station 🚉 Wagons.
Sincerely Yours Truly

Maybe I might just grow me a moustache. Great collection, the woody was my favourite.
My folks had a green ‘53 Roadmaster. What a beast. They kept it forever and it was a great cruiser
My Dad used cars like these traveling across Texas for Buick Motor Division. He was a Buick man and had so many tales to tell. He loved the straight 8. Out of WW II and into, what was then GMI and now is Kellar University in Flint, MI, then from engineering to sales. I remember the glistening chrome grills and trim from the '50s. I would look at them in awe and touch the chrome. They were such massive autos. He left me his last Buick, a 2008 Lucerne CXL (loaded of course) with only 28,000 miles on it. I still have it covered in my driveway. I've put 2,200 miles on it this year. Time for an oil change.
An other wonderful video.⭐️🌟🍎🍏💚💛
I just love the original restored stuff!. That dyna flow was a dog of a transmission, but I'd rather see this than a vintage car all hacked up
Boy I just love a good woody. Very nice car.
🤔
Gorgeous woody. 10 out of 10. Owner is kool & personable as well
I have a close friend who has a very similar '53 Super Woody. I had the privilege of driving his car. It is a nice cruiser.
Thanks, Dennis & all.. my Parents bought a 1953 BUICK/2 Door/ DYNAFLOW ( BLACK over yellow) , actually from same Dealer that I ordered my 77 TRANS AMHurst Hatch/ SPECIAL ED IN OCTOBER of 1976....( original Owners Son Took the monies).. Anyways great stuff and memories......
Awesome! Love any wagon and this is beautiful. Jamul never heard of it but only 90 miles away! Will definitely come visit for a show soon once this clears up!
About half of that for me........never knew this place existed........sad that I don't get out much........6-7 day work weeks keep you close to home
Awesome collection of cars.
Beautiful car. I was lucky to have spent the first few years of my life in a 1952 Roadmaster Estate Wagon in a darker green than this one. Don't really have any memories of it, other than the one from stories that have implanted in my head after years of hearing them from family. My mother traded that in for a 1957 Imperial Convertible, which I have actual memories of. My mother sure did have some beautiful cars over the years. I'm pretty sure that my father gave her just about everything that she asked for, which other than 7 children, wasn't very much. I'm pretty sure that a few of those kids might have even been his idea. Or so, at 96, he still tells me. Lucky to have had him around for this long.
Heck yeah you are lucky to have him around that long! Never take that for granted.
No it's not clickbait folks! Half the video is about that EPIC Woody Wagon, but you'll truly enjoy the first half anyway!
Well done mate thanks that was a great a wonderful Wooden car . 🇦🇺👏👏👏👏💙
Noticed the curb feelers on the passenger side only. That was the correct way they are supposed to be installed. Attention to detail.
Wow, what an amazing collection!
That is a beautiful car. It is a shame the focus is now on driving fast and cornering. I really enjoy just cruising.
Wagons Rule!!!
Very cool family. Sweet collection.
Nice!
the last woody so cool you just didn't see these even when new
This collection reminds me of Boyd Coddington's Collection....I Love Woodie's...A Lost ART....
Restoration well done !!
Dennis, this stay in place order is a
Downer! Thanx for your efforts...
Always a car guy , stay safe!!!
I know that you don't know me at all , but I've watched "My Classic Car" a way long time!!!
Being a Chevy Guy... I really dug the episode with the Motion "Vettes", and the Mako Shark, that was one of the models that my loving sister threw out when I moved out of the house. WAY HARM but forgive and
forget... Keep it up and stay safe!!!
Thanks man! Sorry about the models.
Love the color of the woody, Nice moustache both lol.
Great video Dennis love watching your channel 1971 has always been my favorite year of the Dodge Challenger R/T. My Uncle Sam had a 1953 Buick in High School in the early 1959 and 1960 I think it had the Nailhead V8 in it
IN 1953 THE DUNTOV DESIGNED BUICK V8 CAME IN 3 ITERATIONS THE SUPER HAD 2 ITERATIONS ALL 322 CI IN. WITH A TWO BARREL CARP BUT IT HAD 164 HP FOR THE STICK VERSION SUPER AND 170 HP FOR THE DYNAFLOW AUTO. THE ROADMASTER WAS STANDARD DYNAFLOW AND HAD A 4 BARREL WITH 188 HP. ALL BUICK'S RODE ON A 12I.5 WB CHASSIS.
I also wanted to mention, I like green on any automobile ... And Woodies,
even the "tin" woodies...
I'll leave you alone and not bother you anymore... today anyway...
HAAA! LATER DUDE...
Just watched the Bubble top king, great episode
.... Rhaaah..Lovely..!! 🤠🎸
That awesome 53 Buick really had me wondeiring if it was the same one I spotted in Thunder Bay Ontario in 1993. Unfortunetly I dont have a pic of it anymore, and since I was 17 yrs. old, I didnt keep the negatives..
Only 1610 producedo, 1952 Buick Estate Wagons manufactured. If you didn't preserve the wood it would rot and go to pieces!
This looks like a rerun from the 90's LOL.
Great job Dennis and crew
This was shot back in 2004. That was forever ago from a technology standpoint!
@@MyClassicCarTV When can we see YOUR collection Dennis?
@@MyClassicCarTV this is so close to my hometown.........thank you Dennis for letting me know about it........will have to take a day and go check it out........👍👍👊👊
@@MyClassicCarTV I guess you never know what you're going to find once you get out of the city and away from the beaten path........thanks again for sharing this.......👍👍👊👊
@@MyClassicCarTV I may still take a drive out there......but I did a quick Google search on the place and it closed down in 2011.......
I had red and white 53 Special 2dr.
Awsome 😍
Haha, if you have a sports car and you drive it to the grocery… it’s a grocery getter.😂
Super like 🤩👍
Denis, stop with all the beautiful green cars. Starting to affect my tastes. HA. Great cars and I like the big mustangs.
Sweet!!!!
Woody!!!!!
I still have my 53 Roadmaster woody i bought for 25 dollars in 1969. Still all original and driving. Prefer original patina. Wood excellent but green paint fading. She's a keeper next to my 49 Rivera
Cool man , I mean can you dig it daddio
I really go for the '48 wagon but that'53 is nice too.
I have always liked the toothy grin of the '50.
There was one of these all original in Jacksonville, Fla. in the 90s. The jerk that owned it had a shop off of Beach Blvd. and was stripping it to do a V8 conversion. Literally destroying it.
As an 18yr old I can say
They don’t make cars as pretty anymore
5:00… Did you say “44 deluxe two door“? With government mandated wartime production, there were very few passenger cars made in 1944! And what few were made were allocated only to high priority people.
California sure is something else!
Can't wait to see your lockdown mustache..
It has become a big white beard!
@@MyClassicCarTV I had to shave my big white beard to get a good seal on my mask..
Very nice Buick "Congrats on the restoration" 😎 Was this Buick manufactured in Flint Michigan? 👍
The chassis was. The bodies were completed at Ionia Body, in Ionia, Michigan.
👍
💛🧡💚💜💙❤
Reruns in 4:3 format.
Segment with the wagon starts at 5:58
so?
When was this aired?
Originally 2005.
Why is this uploaded in 480p?
This is an old clip. The graphics say “Speed” channel, which went under in 2013, so it’s at least older than that.
The Nursey closed in like 2011 its even older
Thanks guys
It was shot in 2004.
Dennis just never ages, he looks the same 🤣
Hi!
T&A hahaha on one of those woodies you should get a license plate that says Viagra.
What's with the VHS quality?
Shot back in 2004 when this was the best there was!
@@MyClassicCarTV Ofcourse - should have known. I love your insight and anecdotes about historic cars, regardless of video quality...
Buick has ventiports - not “portavents”.
LOL i missed that
0:20
- you have a goog mostache...
- and NOW kiss meeeeeee :{
Maybe the Nursery is growing medical marijuana to pay for the impressive collection. Amazing!
someone posted an article above that they closed 2011
I love the GM designs from the late 40's, tthe Catalina, DeVille, Rocket 88, Riviera, but after 1950 the cars balloned, and looked so bloated. To me Buicks throughout the 50's were some of the ugliest. However, tho it's overweight, this Buick is the very definition of Estate Car. What I am surprised about, YOU a Studee guy ignoring that Starlight! And, it looked like a Commander.
Lose the mustache. It looks ridiculous.
Sounds like mustache envy to me.
@@MyClassicCarTV Keep telling yourself that.
Will do!
Love the curb feelers
