Those Rancheros were really desirable in the day. Rare but always interesting owners when new. My dad had a 1980 (?) black El Camino that he babied too ha.
That Merc station wagon is BAD ASS.
This show is my favorite reason to be living in Reno for 16 years now. It seems every block has some kind of car in their driveway to be restored here. My project is an 84 BMW 633 csi. One of the rarest vehicles i saw this year is the 57 Chevrolet Cameo Pickup. I heard there is only about 50 of them in the country. That's less then one per State. People trailer their prized vehicles here from all 4 corners of the country. Every August it's a classic car paradise, (pair o' dice) here. There's casino's too !
Wow! Beautiful cars in a stunning town.....i was there 20yrs ago on holiday from Australia and almost stayed there, often wish i had stayed!
Here for the redhead in polka dots by the airstream ha.
That Mercury Station wagon was so beautiful.
Back in the days they truly had colourful cars, not like boring ones nowadays
Have a look around, there are a handfull with brighter colors nowadays. I've seen some granny apple green (or lime green) cars around lately, no joke. Still, I counted half a dozen "blah" colored cars (silver, white, grey, black, etc) in a row just months ago and yellow cars in my neighborhood are scarce. Brown and green are also scarce, red and blue are more common.
@@ninjarider2032 The point is back in the day there were more color choices then gray, silver, black, and white.
@@lklk3384 I'd even enjoy a sighting of a 70s Harvest Gold car now. Then again, I was born after their day.
Cars today are function only ugly appliances, gray, black, white and silver.
The 58 Bonneville was th best looking of all on this episode imo
That '51 Fleetline is a work of art!!
Inspiring. I like both the bare bones stock & the wild customs equally, but for entirely different reasons.
That Ohio Ranchero with not a lick of rust on it was pretty amazing.
Awesome merc. Fast Estate cars are my favourite. Always watch you Dennis.
This is by far the best car show on UA-cam! Thanks for being awesome as ever Dennis!
Oreo Buick.
I personally would do a double stripe in red/yellow dividing the colors.
these cars are pure art.
holy smokes
i was going to select a favourite of those.. but .......... that would take a week
That first car is spectacular!! Beautiful color too!!
Lmao the original dealer tag on the '73 Ranchero was "Harrison Ford"
That Colony Park is gorgeous.
Great to see new shows, again.
Beautiful cars in this one....that '58 Pontiac.....wow!
Hot August Night's has changed the last 23 year's.
It's still fun
My mom had the late '50s (58 or 59) Merc wagon...looked like that but was the teal color. We drove from New Orleans to LA back in 1960 in that car and went to the top of Pikes Peak in it. Had to buy two rear tires on the way back.
The 429 Ranchero - Love it - with that engine , any day , anytime .
My first car was a 1949 Chev Fleetline .I was 16 and had it for three years and two engines before my father made me give it up.
That Mercury🔥🔥🔥I would love to have that car
Re the Ranchero - a lot of Chrysler products in the 60's and maybe beyond also had carpet on the lower door interiors. Good for pushing the door open with your foot.
YES!!!! Finally.. another MCC upload!! Missed you guys!!
Thanks so much for uploading these.. My favorite episode was the on with the hemi dart
NOTE: @ 14:00 min
The Ranchero green door carpeting....wasnt.
Here is what happened to me..
Washed my light blue 73 carpeting with green Palmolive (pretty sure) dish liquid and my carpet turned lavender. 😱
I will bet thats how his brown door carpet turned green.😨
Totally forgot about it until I saw this Ranchero. 😎👍
Great getting to meet you during HAN's in Virginia City at the Bucket of Blood Saloon. Enjoyed seeing the drive-by shot of my 57 Ranchero. (White w/Flames) Keep these great shows coming Dennis!
Paul Linton that flame job looks awesome! You've got some style, man.
Reminded me of yesteryear. First car (bought when 13) was the same with a 292. Rebuilt it, painted it taxi cab yellow with green tinted windows and chromies. Got me going on the car hobby. Have an 83 El Camino SS now, went to the dark side? ;-)
Love this - thanks
EXCELLENT!👍
The OREO looks more like an ORKA
You're the bests!!!
Should come to Dowagiac Michigan some time for their car show awesome people and great town and stunning cars
I spoke too soon.. a lot of different types of cool cars.. the cool cars would keep me cool
Hi Dennis, thanks for another season, we love you, keep em coming. say at least 25 seasons?
Man, classic cars and wooden boats... Is there anything sweeter in life?
I got run over by a Buick of this vintage. I remember seeing that grill headed for me. Still freaks me out!
Probably.. but there's so many cool steering wheels to choose from I used to thing the steering wheel on the 60 dart was ugly. But my God that classic space age wheel is killer.
Beautiful
Dennis you need to go to mopar fest in new Hamburg Ontario Canada, it's the biggest mopar show in Canada
Amazing
The Bonneville is awesome!
Best part about those old cars. You car just about fix them on the side of the road.. but I sure don't see very many broken down cars on the freeways like we used too in the pre90s
I'd like to see one full custom that has windshield functional wipers, nobody knows how to french em' in apparently, to look kool, I love cruising in the rain.......
loved seeing that ranchero squire! ranchero is one of my favotie cars. unpopular opinion i know everyone but me prefers the el camino
13:00 I had a 1974 Ford Pinto Squire Wagon in the same color combination.
great cars....
Plenty of nice cars
WOOOOW!!!
a 15 minute show for a 10 DAY EVENT? WHAT?
@@MyClassicCarTV I get it ..love you and your hard dedicated work Dennis ...Thank you.. I go to Hot August Nights every year from no matter where I live. I've met the nicest people there ... Keep on with your great productions!
The 1953 Buick guy could have just found a Skylark (different low production body) and have gotten most of what he did to the Super. The Cadillac trunk lid would still be good though.
Dennis ya need to take the car show hosts with ya on your car/owner interviews!!
Hey I’m a big fan of this channel and if you haven’t already and if you want to I recommend you check out this muscle car showroom in Sevierville, TN called Floyd Garret’s muscle car museum it’s packed with rare special edition cars and very rare cars (sunbeam tiger v8 , Dodge Charger Daytona, 75th anniversary camaro and even a 1970 Dodge Charger with a sunroof and it was made like that it’s not custom)
I'm so sick of Michigan, 6 months of the year were snowed in, you guys so lucky.
Try living in WET ( 9 ) months of the year of Oregon rain..
My baby's only come out in the sun and they enjoy the heated garage
Hot august night nights. I'm game.. hot August afternoon? Nope. Lived in cal desert and nevada, I'm I'll wait
**My eyes Hurt...! **
@14:46 "Harrison Ford"!!! LOL!!!!
the kids would get sick because exhaust will come in when the front windows are open, the exhaust will go thru the car in reverse, due to the air pulling out the front side window and being replaced by air from the cars aft side
Man when was that cause Nevada is hot most of the time.
hell yeahmybrother
Sort of a paint by numbers sort of thing. lol
"Oh no, it's all original, everything's original " Comical.
The Mercury Colony Park is awesome but I'd prefer a black or white one to go better with the fake wood. The AC is essentially a hang on unit, but Ford didn't offer an integrated system yet and that was the best you could get, and from the factory. The controls are integrated into the heat/defrost etc. controls on the dashboard.
The 430 engine is a completely different engine introduced in 1958 (I think) for Lincolns. Probably also weighs 100 more pounds.
5:13 looks like a dwarf car!
I like old cars so much ,I wonder how so many people afford to own one , there are a lot of people in america who own old cars ,isn't insurance too much ?
Yellow Waffle Insurance is very reasonable, they are not daily drivers and limited to a couple thousand miles per year, thus their exposure to damage is limited.
They must be stored in a locked garage, along with some other requirements, depending on the insurance company and the premium you want to pay.
SAFECO is super cheap with real value coverage... no restrictions on annual mileage. Love it.
I'm surprised the host doesn't know the roof including windshield and rear window are the same as a 1958 Impala. Also the molded rear package shelf, doors and probably the hood.
At least dennis dident just go to jays garage
i have lots of tail lights
i just sold a merc wagon like that for a Wopping $87.000. going to Sweden
Well 007,it's been a year.
Did you go through that 87k while you were in Sweden?
Second time I've heard you claim best steering wheel ever made.
pontiac bonneville looks like 58 impala.Body style windows..gm use chevy impala..
Still don't love the post 40s woody's.
Ugly tacky paint job on the Buick. Turn it back to one color!
51 Chevy looks hideous.
Grow up.
Develop some appreciation for things that you personally dont care for.
Trade your old Celeca for a Sonata.
The Mercury station wagon and the green Pontiac are my personal favorites in this clip. Love the level of originality these guys took them to plus those two take me back to my childhood. Can't knock those customs. I appreciate the creativity, time and effort put into those beauties was well. Wish I could have been there to see them first hand.
