It's a constant source of befuddlement that I am never in the right place at the right time. I haven't been to NYC since 1969. I love street bands, and you guys are great fun. Never been to New Orleans either. Would love to have had a chance to learn from Matt. Like Duke said, it don't mean a thing without that swing.
This is a great take on 'Hindustan'. I was downtown on May 3rd. Great guitar chord rhythm and horn improv on top of the bass. Wish I was there the day before! Next time...
(8:24-32) Maurice Ravel would have engaged you guys straight away and written a masterpiece à la Béla Bartók by simply registring - add a few twists maybe. I.o.w.: highest praise.
One for 6 measures, five for 8, one for 2, that's the first half Second half: one for 4 measures, five of four for 2 measures, four for 2 measures, five of five for 2 measures, four minor for 2 measures, and then five of five, to five, and back to one. And here they repeat the whole thing a minor third up every other chorus Hope that helps
l'intervention du tuba par l'homme sans tête était vraiment la cerise sur le gâteau !
😂❤
Luv the band all world class stuff
Interesting alternating between C and Eb from chorus to chorus.
Beautiful ❤
Fantastic!🎺
Hot, sensitive, swings, amazing facility. 10+

Matt has an online course “roots of jazz guitar”. Highly recommended
We’re going to hear them next week!
Amazing solo from Scot.
Rhythm section helping him swing hard
