      What size radio did you replace it with?

    • @napynap
      @napynap Рік тому +1

      @@DanielElGuerejo It was a single din JVC KDT92MB, but I used the dual din adapter, placed the stereo in the top din, and kept the bottom empty for a place to hold a phone. The main feature of this stereo is it's bright screen that can be seen in daylight. That is important for safety when driving.

    Did you make a video of taking the quarters out of the CD slot? I'm trying to figure out how to repair the radio volume control knob. If I turn the volume down it goes up and vice a versa. I think it may need to be cleaned of gunk but the knob won't come off with the radio in place. Thought having access to the inside of the radio might allow me to clean the control knob and solve the volume control problem. Can you offer me any advice on how to fix this problem? Thanks!

      I just ended up tilting the radio forward and shaking it, i believe thats a common issue on these radios and you may be right about cleaning may offer the performance to return.
      Recently changed my interior bulbs and one of the dome lights werent turning on.. a simple cleaning of the connections helped get it back to normal

    It is possible to replace it with something with BT in it, like a new module or something? Currently using a BT FM transmitter for my audio needs but something more integrated would definitely more ideal! thanks in advance!

      Yes, I just did it. Go with Crutchfield. They have everything you need and even free tech support.

    Does the clock detach from the rest of the dashboard or is it all one piece? My dashboard clock is broken and I was going to try to replace it. Not sure if it's actually a separate part though.

      I think its held with clips and a small connection should be pretty straight forward

    My 2001 Highlander radio after long time without use start to make a faulty high frequency ground noise about 10 khz in the left channel and a 50 hz wave signal very strong in the front right speaker, after some minutes on it turns less amount of noise and both noise only goes with the volume at minimun, as soon I turn up the volume a bit the 10 khz ground noise appear and the right channel bass hum, the bass hum tends to go after a while putting some loud music but the 10 khz ground noise never goes, has someone has this problem ?

      Did you pull the radio out like in the video? If so, probably the internal amp to the radio blew…maybe a good time to get a radio upgrade 😉
