It worked the first time you did it. The reason why it cycled was because you were in the car. You have to get out if the car and press the lock button to verify that it works. Cheers.

The 3 cycle immobilizer alarm starts all over again. I was unable to start the vehicle. Something very unique and special happened I had to pull the plug on the hornet immobilizer. I think your procedure process might’ve broke a code in my vehicle OEM Keyless entry module. Do you have any idea where the keyless entry module is located?
To the guy with a 2006. If you have a security system immobilizer. And the security system is activated by locking the door with your wireless key-fob. Would you not expect if the door is somehow mysteriously opened. Lets say from the inside and you pull the handle. would you not expect the alarm and immobilizer system to go off as it’s designed to do?
@@markvermeulen1372 the security system isn’t being activated when i lock the door with the key fob … all the key fob’s doing is unlocking and locking the doors. The security system is activating by itself about 20 seconds after I lock the door. All the programming did for me was get the fob to lock and unlock it did nothing with the security system smartass
@@markvermeulen1372 I do not know where the keyless entry module is located.. A lot of custom stereo shops have a guy who does alarms. I would find a shop, and pay them a few bucks to set you up. For them it is fast and easy.

changed some seals around the cylinder head cover of my Toyota highlander 2005 due to leaks . aftermarket, Clifford XR OL some sort of model, it has no signal light on the transponder unit, nor the key chain remote, tried checking their website and cant find my model, key chain also has no valet switch on it,or that i can find on the car, if i press the"*" button 3 times, it cycles through some things and headlights blink 4 times, and it does that 3 times. Actual unit doesn't even say "start" its just a "*" symbol

Would anyone happen to know what takes place to make the fob stop working in the first place? All I can think of where mine in concerned, is that my sunroof leaked into the car, while out in a rain storm. Mine stopped working after that day. I'm going to try this procedure, and hope for the best. But I think my power locks are fried. I'll update if this worked.
@@tubejim101 I did have to replace the battery earlier this year, and it didn't seem to effect the fob. I'm thinking that some wiring got waterlogged. It's been weeks since that storm happened, and the fob still isn't working, but the power locks seem to still be functioning properly. I tried doing the reprogramming last night, and the locks never signaled to be ready for programming. I did it twice. Maybe it's a fuse that blew. I'll have to look into that next.

Afraid your confusing me with a professional. I'm lucky to even get this far. A locksmith can do it for you, and they used to not cost that much. Not sure what they charge now days.

After step 10 the locks cycle twice. When I go back to step 8 and complete that step the locks won’t cycle again for some reason.
Give your local locksmith a call, and ask him how much it will cost to have him do it. Depending on your area, it might not be that expensive.

Because you don't have a security light, it sounds like it has been modified. Best bet is to call your local locksmith.

As long as the fob says it will work for your year, make, and model, you should be good.

It will get out of admin mode for you. You should be able to do this without the dealer.
Pressing unlock once should unlock just the driver door. pressing unlock twice should unlock all the doors.

I got the key fob reprogrammed, but only the driver’s door unlocks when I double click. How do I make all doors unlock when I double click?
What year make and model are you working on. Also, double click it, and check all the doors, to see if any others unlocked.

Not sure. It looks like on the Toyota ones, you press the lock button twice, then hold it for 3 seconds, to start the engine.

The steps you do is more complicate than activate the atomic bomb button.
I did not come up with the steps. Just show them. A locksmith can do it for you. They would not charge very much for this.
