José's mother died 2 days ago, and José has the courage to play the match, no matter the result, José is showing his strength in difficult moments in his personal life
People think Hikaru’s picking on Kramnik. Kramnik has been using his position of GM to bully and accuse multiple chess players because of his own insecurities and paranoia. I’m glad one of the best players in the world is sticking up for himself and others.
I dont think its even paranoia to be honest. The guy is using his position and accusations because he is smart. He is sleazebag who is using all this shit to make himself relevant. Think about it, how many of "old" players have social presence today? How big their social presence is comparing to the Kramnik? The guy is simply using this thing to be relevant in the world of the chess. He is a good player (I mean duh ..), but comparing to the younger generation and new prodigies, lets be honest, if he is relying only on chess, no one would be mentioning Kramink. Like this, both me and you are talking about him ... hence, he milked this whole thing a lot and quite sucessfully.
Poor Kramnik, had everything you could've asked for, he could've made the Vishy and be adored and respected by everyone but he couldn't swallow his ego and now is just being clowned on
The amusing part is knowing Kramnik is using stockfish and must see all the blunders he makes, yet still refuses to look in the mirror. Severe cognitive dissonance
Jose greatly respects Hikaru and Hikaru highly believes that Jose deserves more from the Chess world and always supports him whenever he gets invited to any tournaments. That's how high-class players should always do. To Jose: you definitely gained the support from all Hikaru's fans, in my opinion.
I think kramnik is trying to find something to champion. Other former world champions are all doing somthing witht their lives, kasparov is in politics, vishy is still playing, commentating, and rasing the next generation of indian players etc. but on the other hand kramnik ist well known outside of the chess comunity and for the lack of a better term unimportant nowadays. I feel he is trying to get back in the public eye but he is doing it the weong way.
Well, it's the age of the internet, memes, buzzfeed and streamers competing getting attention. Chess, like everything else, needs it's villains to generate storylines that people click on. I don't know much about Kramnik but I am pretty sure that Niemann for example does understand this pretty well and happily accepted his role in this docu-drama type of telenovela that is the modern chess cyberspace. Both Niemann's and Kramnik's games are featured across all major channels.
Kramnik seems to blunder alot in his chess games and would rather accuse someone of cheating than to take responsibility for his actions as in doing so he would also have to admit that he's not at the level he once was
Jose never had anything to prove, and now, it's just icing on the cake. As for Kramnik, a former world champ, really sucks to lose with two queens on the board.
IMAGINE if this wouldve happened on TT.. Kramnik losing with 2 queens v 1 queen from a 2650 player.. he would have claimed cheating for the rest of his life.
The former world champion was scared of playing 3+1 even though that's the format he accused Jose of cheating in. And he still can't come out ahead, what a loser.
Hi Hikaru, just wanted to say you're my inspiration in so much of my chess and I wanted to thank you so much. I love watching your videos and I actually had a tournament last weekend which I managed to win with 4.5/5. I'm rated 1674, had a performance rating of 2157 and I gained 111 rating points. And I just really wanted to thank you for all of your amazing instruction for that!
@@ivandragicevic6786 Well, it's hard to judge. I've met hikaru online and I crushed him, I have the evidence (it was a bullet game) but it just goes to show we cant trust the media/fame. He can be no2 in the world for other reasons, as we know many GMs knew him as a kid i.e. Finegold etc and they couldve conspired to teach him, motivate him through an earpiece at tournaments and to sponsor his first chessbot overlay for online tournaments. The reason I beat him is that I think he mustve not used the overlay as he was 1000+ elo above me and thought his natural talent was sufficient; sadly mistaken.
On Kramnik's stream, there were occasions where a player would make a move that Kramnik felt was "too good" or beyond that player's caliber, and in that moment he knew without a doubt they were cheating. He'd then announce he would "Begin the Procedure" by reporting them.
I hope Kramnik has a change of heart and stops accusing people of cheating without any solid evidence. It's toxic behavior that is unbecoming of a former world champion. It would be excellent if he chose to not make public named accusations unless he has direct evidence, in the future.

Hikaru should host the Kramnik Cup where he invites everyone who krmanick has falsely accused
I'd put five bucks into the prize fund for that.
It seems to be a good idea, but truely accused should be invited too.
When I become rich I will make it happen.
