About the first game, it's pretty funny because I saw a video where someone made Eugene play all the other strongest grandmaster bots and Hikaru is the only one who drew Eugene. All the others lost.
According to stockfish 16 6-15-24 dev, 15. f3 was the move that loses the game and gives stockfish a 99.8% win chance (i'm using nibbler). Hikaru accurately estimated that it would win an attack on the queenside and make some passed pawns there. it then blundered that win by trading off the queens. It's possible that eugene is a slightly altered 3400 or lower engine as it was not playing top stockfish 16 moves, either.
@@carlostdied1184 Stockfish 16 evaluates the final position as -6. I wouldn't take its evaluation at face value. It was probably drawn the entire way through.
Did Hikaru actually not intentionally play the sodium knowing that it breaks the bot? I refuse to believe he didnt see how the bot wrote "The Sodium Attack, OH No, MY only weakness!"
Hikaru obviously knew that despite the oscar level acting. He didn't just randomly choose the correct one out of a 100 meme openings. Also, he couldn't beat it with a real opening, why would he think he can beat it with a trash opening?
He definitely knew what he was doing and was just pretending like he didn’t know. Some people are saying Oscar level acting here, but I don’t think so. Mid level acting at best.
Bot commentary of "Do you like apples" could be a reference to Matt Damon's character in Good Will Hunting...tough to watch some of the scenes in that movie after we lost Robin Williams.
I don't think that would work Because both hikaru and magnus are about 2850 rated and beating 3500 is not an easy task It's just sounds like that both Alexandra botez and levy roseman team up to defeat hikaru

the fact that he even has to count them 1 by 1 is insane to me. I don't "count" them in the traditional sense. I split the board vertically in half and then it is visually easy to see that for black, it's 3 pawns on one side of the board and 4 pawns on the other side for 7 and for white 4 pawns on each side for 8. I do this method a lot just for everyday things as well. I visually split objects into smaller chunks in my head so that it is easy to just see how many each chunk is without actually counting them 1 by 1 and then add the chunks together.
