OMG This is so awesome. I love all the energy of it. The feeling of it. Great song Montrose's best without a doubt. Remember when it was so clear we were young but the memories still remain to pick fruit from the trees fish from the seas now nothings left but the stains. I can't cry no more can only be proud there's other places we could be if the times suits you right I'm leaving tonight. Come fly.......away.......with me......yeah.....yeah......yeah......yeah.....yeah......yeah......yeah! KICKS ASS!
without a doubt one of americas greatest rock n roll debuts of all time.Ronnie and the lads had it going on. they are awesome.
Yes it was a great debut. There were others,Aerosmith Black Sabbath ,Springsteen, Zeppelin, Creed ,Van Halen AC DC, and others. The difference is that the Montrose album is the greatest Hard Rock album of all time.
Next time around!
Music to my ears....
Way better and harder than aerosmith
🤟🤟
I agree. The debut Montrose album is my favorite Rock album of all time because of the hard-driving guitar and vocals
Killer song still blowing out windows and cracking building foundations almost 50 years later. Loved it in high school, love it now. Let's see ANY rap crap match that.
Dang straight!!!
Yep. I am going to be That old lady in the home who goes deaf from having listened to this stuff cranked to the max most of my life😄👍
@@QueenofArgyle2525 I'm right there with you, girlfriend! Well, except for the little old lady part! My daughter and some of her friends came to my house one day last summer when I had Montrose cranking Richter Scale level. She yelled, "What are you listening to??" I yelled back, "The classics!!"
I loved Montrose music when I was a teenager and this video is really great! Thanks for the timeless journey... I hope that many other people will come to see this video ( great work!) and listen to this music well beyond 2001 the odyssey of space and after. Haha!
A great classic. New guys don’t rock like this.
Give ‘em time. I was pleasantly surprised by the Black Crows years ago:) There will be some juckass new stuff. I have faith in the young✌️
Hope all the young kiddies coming up never give up listening to this stuff
As a musician living in Colorado Springs, 1974 was the first time I ever heard this on the radio and thought OMFG, this changes everything. Then soon after came Radar Love by Golden Earring and then Queen and Mott the Hoople, those were the good old days.
KILO!
"The Heavens unfold - a new star is born" (events in deep space as Ronnie Montrose left this world). Ronnie's playing is still king tone. Ronnie Montrose (RIP)
possibly the best rock riff and song of all time it is flawless.
No doubt.
If there is a Greater Rock song....WTF is it???
Sammy is a fat slob
Killer Ronnie
Awesome way of starting a song!, WITH A BLOOD CURDLING SCREAM!
Montrose was one kick ass band, my friends and I wore this album out!!! RIP Ronnie
Nobody could compare to Ronnie's band.......Sammy was at his best on stage......So licky to have been able to see them play live in the 70's. ..........RIP RONNIE MONTROSE...........
Margrit Kendrick that band that could of been.
You had 2 if of the best guitar players & singers off all time
But Ronnie
Ego got in his way!
You saw a baldheaded fart at the Catalyshroom saw in gamma1 sammy was wearing airport slacks see video
@@michaeltabor9596 Dave Pattison was with Robin Trower
"Licky"...LOL
What a great album to introduce the world to an unknown kid singer....Mr. Sammy Hagar.
Reminiscent of my favorite movie 'Heavy Metal'. What a fabulous tribute! This will be shown at my funeral.
thank you very much
@@MRVC_83 You do excellent work. A good eye for what piece of video will go with which piece of music. Keeping the rhythm is all important. Congratulations. Many hours of viewing and sorting... eh??? And that was 7 years ago! I'd think you've only gotten better since then. What kind of stuff are you working on lately???
@@keithodom2345 thank you very much sir , glad you liked the video .
@@MRVC_83 You're most certainly welcome. I can't help but think we have some things in common: A love of Montrose & Science-Fiction come to mind. Maybe like me you are disappointed that the Conquest-of-Space is taking a whole lot longer than we thought it should??? Videos like yours are at least a small step in the right direction. I'm trying to learn how to make videos like that too. What is your favorite software for video editing like that??? And any ideas you might have about how to attract larger & wider audiences... I'd like to hear about. Thanx!!!
@@MRVC_83 The Future's in the Sky Above !!!
Start, with the sun
And move on out
The future's in the skies above
The heavens unfold
And a new star is born
Space and time making love
Oh what a time we had
Living on the ground
I've moved to station #5
See you next time around
Next time around...
As far you want, as close as you need
It's all in the mind, you know
This old world hasn't really seen it's day
It's here, time to go...
Oh what a time we had
Living on the ground
I've moved to station #5
See you next time around
Next time around...
Remember when it was so clear
We were young, but the memory still remains
To pick fruit from a tree
Fish from the seas
Now nothing's left here, but the stains
Well I can't cry no more
Can only be glad
There's other places we can be
If the time suits you right
I'm leaving tonight
Come fly away
With me...
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
Oh, yeah...
Start, with the sun
And move on out
The future's in the skies above
The heavens unfold
A new star is born
Space and time making' love
Oh what a time we had
Living on the ground
I've moved to station #5
See you next time around
Next time around...
I had never seen the lyrics written out. Thanks for posting!
@Fuzzy Karma
I have just a couple quick minor quibbles.
I believe the lyric is "Star with no sun" not "Start with the sun".
Also...
Pretty sure it's "Oh what a time we had, living underground."
Not "living on the ground."
Space Station #5, so, what would be the point of living on the ground?
We all do that already as it is, anyway.
"Living underground" makes much more sense.
Like the space station is on the moon, maybe?
Anyway.
Otherwise?
Nicely done.
Thanks for posting this.
@@toddvandell85 The song was about Sammy Hagar's Apartment. (#5) which came to be known as Space Station #5 because of all the trippy hippies and wild parties there. They lyrics make sense when you know it's an apartment.
"...the heavens unfold, and a new star is born."
Saw a concert in 1975 with a local band Redwing, Montrose, Elvin Bishop and the Guess Who.
Montrose was a head of their time. That good ......
What a fantastic video. They just don't make em' like this any more. What a beautiful sight!!! Earth is great but jeeeeeeeezzzzzzz!!! No laser light show could possibly top this.
I'd put the part at 1:08 where Sammy's scream comes in just after Ronnie's blistering riff up against Roger Daltery's coming in just after Townsend's solo towards the end of "Won't Get Fooled Again" any day. Both transcendent moments to me.
Friggin Killed the video for a timeless Rock Vault unknown classic. BRAVO SIR !!! Long Live Ronnie Montrose !!! And Bill Church, Denny Carmassi, and the Red Rocker beach bum groovemaster Sammy Hagar !!!
thank you very much
Simply....AWESOME!!!
thank you glad you liked it
One of the greatest songs ever written ....this video montage is absolutely fantastico!
thank you sir glad you liked it
One of my favorite tunes from the 1970s. This video goes so well with the music and lyrics! One of the very best vids on UA-cam! Great work here, Jimischild!
Back in the day when Montrose was Montrose and Van Halen was Van Halen. Both bands handled business!
Never had the chance to see Montrose, but did see Sammy in the late '70s then Gamma in the early '80s both great shows
I have no idea how I ended up jamming Montrose at 11pm on a Monday night but I’m glad I did! Thank you for creating an awesome video to accompany an awesome song!
Thank You
"We were young but the memory still remains". Ain't that the truth!!!
This is Montrose's best song
thinking about doing more Montrose in the coming years stay tuned .
This is a mind blowing video
Awesome music sounds first thing in the morning twist one up dream the rest of the day
Definitely one of the best ROCK bands that's ever been. So clean....so powerful.
My favourite album of all time. It just blew me away when I heard it
Ronnie Rocking Forever 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓

Great video.

2 years ago on this date(03/03) Ronnie took his own life .R.I.P. Ronnie Montrose!

Great video for a GREAT song !!
wow fab!!!
AWESOME Job on this video!!!

The best song on the album....kicks!!!!

me too!!
Good job with the video I really like space shots awesome
thank you very much .
Comin in from cold christmas ⛄
Ep.(4)... Simmo looked through the porthole and saw a Flappy Bird trying to pass Him and Whipped out His Service Revolving Ray Gun to dispose of it, just like on the Blogs, but forgot they werein a Space Ship!!..The Blast and missing porthole Sucked ALL the air out of the Ship just like the Blogs on Earth...
well done!
The only bad thing about this fantastic slab of vinyl was having to flip it over.
Ronnie ya se fue pero estoy seguro que antes de ascender más, hizo una parada en la estación espacial # 5
I read Sammy had an other worldly visitation in the early '70's. Something about a space ship and telepathy.
Gretchen video Jimischild
Absolutely Awesome vid and way out of this World! Thumbs Way UP!! Now if you'll please excuse me...i have to Blast off and go for a Meteor Shower!!! ;)
A great video montage to one of rock's greatest rotorhythms! Damn, why does anyone in rock do this kind of stuff these days? The closest thing I've heard to this is Hawkwind's "Levitation" . Both of these songs will give you an adrenalin rush. No recerational drugs required!
Montrose and Hagar should of stuck together longer. They could of produced more driving rock like this.
Genial
👍👍👍👍!!! 💜
@jimischild13. Great video. You should show it to all the Flat Earthers. They might finally get a clue that the Earth is actually really round. This video pretty definitively proves that. Nicely done.
thank you , yes indeed it is real and it is round .
Way cool
well done!p
Hopefully they played it when our equipment landed on Mars
👍

Saw them in Santa Cruz CA in a small auditorium. Great Vid.
I think Kyuss or Fu Manchu should record this song. Would it kill?
Warm
bout time for a space war eh
Wow. Sammy Hagars Attorney
ronnie was his own worst enemy he was difficult to deal with hence the high turnover of band members he could have been way bigger than van halen who worshipped him it was the same for the band free in the uk what could have been
nobodies perfect , i will always remember Ronnie . odds are i will do another song next year some time . yes he was great .
Play this over police scanner.

GOOD GRIEF...ONCE YA GET PAST THE 2001 SPACE ODESSEY BEGINNING...THIS SONG KICKS A BIG FAT IOWA ASS..AND TAKES NO PRISONERS!!!😆😁😆😂🤣😅😊☺🤔🤔🤔🤔😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Im just here to get a link
the footage of the planet going around is real from a space station not created in 3d .
This song is excellent! Would be cool with Van Halen as the backing band. Eddie’s solo would sound amazing on it.
Not gonna bash you as you obviously don't know EVH was a fan of Ronnie Montrose and VH covered several Montrose tunes incl Make it Last more than a decade before this singer joined VH. EVH would have screwed this perfect song all up. Different kind of players. Dig in. Learn the history. Listen to Montrose / Gamma and be blown away. Long live Rock and long live Ronie Montrose. RIP
Crescent City SPACE Cadets.
Heyyy who removed most of that video?!? All the good stuff is gone!
