I have tried trimming my beard 3 times. All 3 times the beard ended up coming off completely. Credit to guys who can do there own beards. As for me I will just continue going to the barber and having it done.
Dan C Bearded true true everyone is different and has there ways that’s why I watch all your guys videos to find the best methods I find taking peace’s and bits of everyone methods tends to work out. Keep up with the videos guys I’ll be watching. That live stream you guys did a while back was pretty chill. Hope to see one soon
I think your tips are spot on. I do caution that different beards require slightly different techniques. I don't have thin sides (cheeks), but they are definitely not as dense as my circle beard area. Because of that, I never trim my cheeks like you did. I've done it before myself and had a beard barber do it. I wasn't happy either time. I just focus on the bottom, cheek lines, behind the sideburns, and my mustache. I trust myself more than a professional. Time and patience are key!!! I'm in the process of growing out now. I went to a circle beard... the wife was not happy. At. All. My 9 yr old daughter was happy with it. My 3 yr old daughter cried... then said, "I don't like it Daddy." So...
Hey Bro, you got some ginger action going on with that beard of yours! Welcome to the club! Now stop using all that dye and embrace the red! 🤣😂 You are absolutely right about the Brio. It was designed just for guys with beards. I’ve had mine for over a year and I’ve only charged it ✌🏻times. Thanks for the great tips and discount codes!
Hey man I just want to thank you because I have a full beard like you for years and I never could get it straight and since I follow you on UA-cam i have a mean full straight beard, big thumbs up 👍🍻🤘 and keep on doing what you do because you're great at it, big thanks from Belgium 🇧🇪
Awesome video Scuba!!! There are very few barbers over here in Charleston SC that know how to trim beards (only one I’ve used). They are good at hair cuts but that’s it. Gotta get your skills as to successful beard trimming being I’m a year and 5 months in and don’t want no one to f#@k it up. Still in search of the ultimate Beard Smith over here!!!
Thanks for the tips I just found this video last night and tried trimming this morning. I am happy how it came out i am now a subscriber and can’t wait to try that beard butter recipe!
Solid advice. Perhaps 1 suggestion tho, how about this &/or a beard styling video against a white background or a really light one if possible? Just to see how curly your actual sides look would be interesting. You seem to have straight hair from just getting out of bed which I’m thinking is a big blessing- I’m not blessed like that. I recommend the background b/c when I trim mine I have to remind myself not to trim too much & there will be some curl or at least for my hair it is. Even with the blow dryer & brush technique to straighten. Unless a white background would totally screw up the focus & visuals & if so then never mind ☺️
Always enjoy watching your vlogs, always entertaining as well as educational guys like you, Dan C., Johnny, Eric y'all are always a staple in my beard binging watchings. I'm actually going for that terminal beard myself but keeping the sides pulled in tight as it can be wavy and wild if I let it go. Actually hit up GBS and got some gentleman's blend beard butter so really looking forward to using that. Thanks for the discount there Scuba, you the man 😎
I'm a complete newbie when it comes to beards and facial hair. I've always been clean shaven but one day I just decided I'm gonna change it up and grow a beard, or in my case a goatee. I'm going for the ducktail where it's long and tapers at the end. So far far, I'm a week in and I've got some good growth. Just needs to get thicker and longer. I'm looking forward to trying different things with it. 😎
I try my best to manage the poofyness with product and hair dryer/ beard straightener. I try to trim as a last resort haha. Not that I don’t trust myself with trimming, I just like it to look natural as possible. Beard trimming doesn’t make me as nervous as mustache trimming, I’m a perfectionist when I trim my stache lol.
I like to trim mine in the evening before my shower. This way it has product in from the morning, but it's not freshly applied and affecting how the beard lays naturally. Prior to trimming I simply run a comb through it.
Hey scuba if you ever try the other scents from kingsmen post a video telling us how you feel about them. I got holy grail and highly impressed interested in black knight but trying to decide if I wanna try the other ones 👍🏻 if it happens cool if not its whatever lol thanks for the tips have a good day ✌🏻
I noticed when you held the brios up I could see the display screen sooo clear and crisp, on my brios i have to get pretty close to even see what it reads, (and even in the bathroom with the lights off and completely dark its very dim) is it defective do you think? I highly doubt they would replace it since i had it since December 27, 2017. It's no big deal at all, only slightly annoying
Do you use an actual razor on your cheek area to clean it up? Or do you just let it grow and have an awesome hair line? I ask because I get hairs that grow high on my cheeks and I always feel the need to use a razor to clean it up.
Im too scared to let a barber near mine, I'm betting only a handful have experience with a beard. my neck line is unusually high so it looks like I do trim that "V" underneath but it just doesn't grow thick down there yet :/ so my beard looks really thin (to me at least) Im only 23 though but have good coverage everywhere else :)
Hey man, the only problem I have is the mustache. Do you put a guard on and trim the whole top lip or do you just use scissors to trim it above the lip. On the edges of my mouth the hairs once long enough they curl into my mouth, I've never been able to train them. So what I'm asking should I trim that?
I've had a beard over half my life and I still fuck up the trim sometimes (mostly because of bloody arthritis or stupidity. It's about 50-50 on that, heh). It happens, and the important thing is to not go, 'Oh fuck it' and shave it all off. Shape it so it's symmetrical as best you can then leave it alone for a while. It's hair, it'll grow back.
As I grow my beard I'm getting some wild individual hairs sticking out after I use my oils and balm. Do I trim them out or just leave them. Need help in this matter thanks.
I know this is an old video, hoping i can still get a response. Just got my beardscape in the mail and I'm wondering if i brush b4 i start trimming or if i leave it just as it is when i wake up.
A barber just messed up my cheek lines and my neck line he brought my neck line to high and my cheek lines too low I’m so pissed what should I do? It’s not long I’ve only been growing for 3 months It’s only an inch long should I just leave it and wait like a month and a half without shaping it? Would it blend in?
Five beard trimming tips ua-cam.com/video/aXB6MSPN4HI/v-deo.html 1) No products in the beard before trimming 2) Trim straight down the sides 3) Pull the sides forward and trim from the ear to the vertical side burn hairline. 4) Trim bottom from the front straight back to the neck, do not trim the long curlie hair s. 5) Shape the bottom straight across from ear to ear, about one or two fingers above the adam apple, do not trim in a V line.
That was me last week. I grew my beard out for 6 months and it was long as fuck. I went into my barber to get a cut and I showed him a picture of you're beard and said that what I want. This prick went to town and cut it waaaaay to short. I'm so pissed off. I gotta wait another 4 months at least to get back where I was. When I get there I'm doing it fuck a my barber. I feel like smashing his windows for messing my beard up lol.
Dude.. one of the hottest man thing is when a guys chest hair grows into his beard.. it's a rare gift from the Viking Gods..don't mutilate it with a Costco razor..it's beard blasphemy.. ..just stay calm and step away from the razor.. it's gonna be fine guys.. it will grow back.
I used to love your channel bro, but now all you do is basically to try to sell something, I know you have to make some money, but now your content revolves around selling products....please re-shape your content to what was before...or make it even better than before. Much love

“Don’t trim the curly hairs”... mind blown! literally been trimming these for months and wondering why my beard isn’t getting thicker!!! Thanks man.
Beard trims are a scary experince and tips like this can help a beardsman! Thanks Scuba 🧔💪 even if we disagree on semantics 😉
At least we can come to the middle ground that I'm right :) That's all that matters lol
I see both sides of your method I will blow dry my beard straight before a trim but i won’t put product in because it weighs it down as if it was wet
@@BeardTube haha that's the beauty of the beard world, it is all personal preference. You are killing it with yours, duh!
I’m with skyler, I will blow dry mine straight and then trim. Bc even if I’m working from home I always straighten out my beard

Great tips! Just getting going with a beard. It’s nice to learn tips and tricks. Thanks!
This stache needs to be fixed man, i'd let it grow.
I learned to trim my beard watching your earlier videos. Good stuff.
Hi SCUBA, I used your code on Artius men. Thank you. Cheers!!

V shaped forest. You already know what I thought of lol
Great tips brother. Order placed! Love these guys. Awesome products. 👍🏻🤘
Hey thanks for the video. Subscribed and ordered some Artius Citrus Fire!!!
How often do you do this 'maintenance trimming' ??
Actually a lot of salonists put product in their clients hair before trimming but I dont know why

Try Bankers Best beard balm and oil King Solomon’s Reserve it smells great
Scotch porter leave in conditioner just got released last week. Will you be review it soon? Dig their products but I’m hesitant on buying it.
Very informative video , great one!
How well do these work on... Other parts of your body?
Great video and advice!!!
What is the purpose of the trim length ?
Heads up just saw your face/beard on a scotch porter add. 😮
Do you use an actual razor on your cheek area to clean it up? Or do you just let it grow and have an awesome hair line? I ask because I get hairs that grow high on my cheeks and I always feel the need to use a razor to clean it up.

Im only 23 though but have good coverage everywhere else :)
How much should you trim off your beard for healthy growth? Or I'd that not a thing.
Are those trimmers "Zero-gapped"?
Game changer: Tip #3!!!!!
What was tip number three ?
Hey man, the only problem I have is the mustache. Do you put a guard on and trim the whole top lip or do you just use scissors to trim it above the lip. On the edges of my mouth the hairs once long enough they curl into my mouth, I've never been able to train them. So what I'm asking should I trim that?
Great trimmers!
Saw you on Bossman’s FB add. Alright there big timer..lol
Great video. Would love to see more like it and a little less product placement ;)
On my beard my goatee is growing faster than everything else. It’s even growing faster than the hair under my chin. Is that normal?
Warren L i have the opposite problem my chin hairs grow slower :(
You should link that comb
What's your take on Cremo? It's a brand of beard care stuff that you can pick up at walmart
Great video

2 finger above adams apple is where you want the line correct?
I know this is an old video, hoping i can still get a response. Just got my beardscape in the mail and I'm wondering if i brush b4 i start trimming or if i leave it just as it is when i wake up.
Hey bro! you're showing up on a straightening brush advertisement, on instagram. The name is Novel*** dont remember.
What size guard are you using for the sides?? 3??
I like to atleast put some beard oil in before trimming, and blow dry it out. This gives you a better and more even trim, imo.
A barber just messed up my cheek lines and my neck line he brought my neck line to high and my cheek lines too low I’m so pissed what should I do? It’s not long I’ve only been growing for 3 months It’s only an inch long should I just leave it and wait like a month and a half without shaping it? Would it blend in?
i bought the beardscape but i have never used them im 6 months in
Do I spy a 5% tattoo?
What size on the guards do you use for the side trimming?
I would never trim my own beard...for a fact i would F it up and have to shave the whole thing off and of course that would SUCK!
Five beard trimming tips
ua-cam.com/video/aXB6MSPN4HI/v-deo.html
1) No products in the beard before trimming
2) Trim straight down the sides
3) Pull the sides forward and trim from the ear to the vertical side burn hairline.
4) Trim bottom from the front straight back to the neck, do not trim the long curlie hair
s.
5) Shape the bottom straight across from ear to ear, about one or two fingers above the adam apple, do not trim in a V line.
HAHAHAHAHHA my imaginary granpa from new jersey
would this work on people with thinner beards
What size did u do for the sides
Dude! You got beard hair in my omelette!
00:12 Eminem has entered the chat.
Comb link please
I do the phone thing everyday 😂😂 i have so many videos saved to my snapchat hhaha
What number do you use on your sides?
What about the manscaped trimmer? Is that good?
That's for your nuts, not your face.
Cutting the curls on the bottom is definitely detrimental.
Should you wash your beard before trimming?
yea let me know what they say
@@BeardTube I was wondering that before I trim. Enjoying your vids as always!!
My guy!
Is that a beard or a grass?
