After being butchered by a Barbour and loosing 3 months of growth on my beard because the guy didn't have a clue what he was doing you channel has helped me out quite a lot. Thanks Scuba :)
Dude I had the same thing happen. Learned the hard way that my normal good barber is worth the wait. My fault for being in a hurry and going to an unknown.
I am a retired old man and have used my Oster Outlaw for many years with its 000 (1.0mm) blade. During that time I have cut my head hair to bald many times and have had nothing but great results. I have the Andis-UltraEdge for even a tighter cut (0.1 mm)
Man you are just great ...... i have been growing beard since 1.5 years,,,, but today i tried your method to trim my beard and trust me this is the first time ever my beard look this amazing....this is the first time i feel proud of my beard ...it never looked so sexy before. ... tried many barbers and always got disappointed ... no body could give me this box look to my beard bottom....... just love you brother.... i wish your channel grows like your beard. :) as gratitude subscribed your channel and gave a thumbs up to your video.
If there was a voting process for the next BEARDBRAND spokesperson or video series collaborator, you would definitely have my vote bro !!!! Who else thinks the same?
HIELO KING i seriously hope this doesnt happen. i love beardbrand and use their products but i would prefer scuba to stay independant and inpartial without selling out. he is getting more views & more subscribers doesnt need beardbrand.
bored ducky ye, you're probably right. I got carried away. I guess I got way too excited about the idea without actually thinking about the probable consecuences. It is me who probably needs more subs, LOL !!!
I need to trim my under beard, but I'm nervous as shit.. This is the first time I'm growing my beard out, so I need to learn. Thanks for all the info. With what I have learned from your channel I'm going to try to do it my damn self..
Ronny C I trimmed my underbeard on my own for the first time a month or so ago. This was one of the first videos I saw on it. I did decent. Three barber's in a row messed it up so I figured I need to figure this out lol
@@roadrunner76b Good to hear! I'm at almost 4 months on my first full beard now and I really need to trim, so I have been running through as many trimming vids as possible. I don't even know where to start to find a good barber that won't mess up my beard.
Your beard is bad ass and keeps me motivated to keep growing! I'm at one month exact today.. shaping now trimming like yourself in the future but no looking back to no beard brother!
You’ve pretty much got one of the best beards on UA-cam, well done, problem with mine is it thins out on the bottom as it grows more & Ive always struggled with cutting off too much as well, so thanks for the video man!
Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with a Wahl trimmer, and other local guys have had the same problem with them. I live in a subtropical area, where it's hot and humid in summer, mostly warm and a little less humid the rest of the year, and nobody has A/C at home. Wahl's weakness is the not-so-stainless steel used in the blades. Even taking care to clean, wipe dry and oil the blades after use, they were all rusty and unusable within a few weeks, and I had to throw the trimmer away (I heard that they sell spare blades in the U.S., but it would be impractical and too expensive to import them here - a new trimmer would be cheaper). It was very frustrating, because it *was* no doubt an excellent trimmer while it lasted. I could perhaps use silica gel sachets if I could easily find them, but I'd rather have a more rust-resistant trimmer - especially considering that a Wahl trimmer is more expensive (maybe justifiably so for the quality other than the blades, but too expensive for what is essentially a disposable device in practice). Panasonic and Philips trimmers may not be as precise and professional-looking, but their blades do resist our climate here much better - probably because Wahl is more U.S.-centric, while Panasonic and Philips are multinational corporations that design and sell products for the whole world.
Hey brother, good video. Can I suggest a video of a breakdown on your length? As in, maybe describe the evolution of your growth journey. Show the length of the hairs and where you let growth happen and where you eventually trimmed. I think a lot of guys think they have to let the entire beard grow one length everywhere without touching it, while that's good for some, it doesn't have to be that way.
Yea that's actually pretty good idea, I just added it to my list of channel ideas!! Any other ideas you have like that, let me know, I'm always looking for new ideas for the channel. Thankyou!!
Dude thank you so much for this video! This is gonna sound super dumb but I never really learned how to trim my beard and I used to just give up and shave it once it got to trimming point...but now I won’t. Thanks!
Thanks for the informative video with no fluff and bullshit. Exactly what I was looking for. You've got a subscriber dude. I'll tell all my beard pals about you as well.
This my first time growing mine out and before even doing research on videos I automatically knew not to do that if I wanted true growth and a full looking beard
My problem is the geometry of it all...its 3d! I have issues trying to cut shapes of my beard and making it unison....hard to explain. Thanks for your tips though, helping me alot and my wife and I just bought those clippers on amazon so we finally will have our own good pair. and nice beard man!
I hate the hair at bottom end of the Beard 5:58 . That usually makes or breaks my beard trims . I either mess up or cut too much off . Then have thin spots bottom of the beard. Or i just leave it alone and settle for those hairs poking out. Thx hopefully I can get it right with ur vid.👍
You're very aggressive with those trimmers men, i wouldn't dare to do that haha. Sometimes i take about two hours to trim my own beard. I'm afraid to do it with trimmers also, i prefer scissors. Really nice end result though, beard looks great. Greetings from the netherlands.
My bottom chin hair grows much faster & thicker than face hair so idk how to incorporate how long or short ...still watching 👀 so. . Hopefully u say something about it. Tnks
I have a serious question. I have a 3 month beard...planning to go 6 months..wild style like URS. All out. Except the neckline. Whenever I go to the barber they mess it up. I mean it may look neat and nice , but it looses length and thickness. So this time I'm growing it all out. My question is...when I trim it first time in my 6th month..should I go to the barber or should I do it myself like how u do in this video. Do people usually trim at the barbershop first and then maintain it themselves ? Is hat how the general beard growers do ? An answer to this will be appreciated. Thanks. I love ur videos.
Great vid man on my beard some of the hairs on the sides of my face will grow out straight out should I trim them or just try to train them and hopefully with gravity they'll eventually go down and also I don't think you burped it the video. lol keep up the great work man your awesome !
gravity is a wonderful thing that nobody thinks about! Let the hairs get longer and heavy and let gravity do it's work is always an option. Also you could try beard wax.
Hey champ love ur videos quick question buddy how do u deal with shedding daily especially when grooming ur beard..is it normal to shedd every day...king.beardsmen beard products thanks champ
I was sitting down editing, and I'm scrolling through the footage, looking for the burp, and I felt the same way as you. I had to go wrestle an alligator with ankle weights and one hand tied behind me immediately, just to make sure I was still a man :)
Hey brother, are you selling your own products or doing affiliate links? I have a client who has some amazing products that would be good for your channel.
Have you always trimmed your beard since the beginning or did you let is grow to a certain length and then trimmed it to shape it? If the later, then how long did you grew it before your first trim? I tend to want to trim it every week to keep it tight for work but I feel the growth is not showing because of that.... Also, how often do you do neck and side trims? Thanks!
Yea I have always trimmed my own beard usually, but I go to a barber every once in a while. I used to not be so good at trimming it though. I use to just take beard trimmers and set them to a certain length and just buzz the whole thing an even length lol
BeardTube whats the alternative to that then? I put a guard on my trimmer and evened it out to a certain length and it looks like shit. How'd you get better at doing it without a guard?
Chris Ogle I think most beards also grow hair under the chin, and most people trim what grows on their actual neck. So I think the answer is, no it's not all checks, and no it's not neck hair
Your Channel is what got me wanting to grow out my beard! 🙏🏻 Also, Spartans den beard oil is awesome 👏 Lastly, if you haven't already tried cremo beard balm you should give that a review it's the first beard balm I've ever bought smellsssss amazing. Deuces ✌️
Yea I actually just bought some of it, they have it at a local store where I live called dillons. It's like a kroger store. I'll be doing a review here soon
I gotta question man, I jus re cently learned about not shaving my neck to grow out beard like yours.i can grow decent beard but ive always sha ved with my jawline but my question is will it work if my hair on my neck grows crazy, like the grain of the hair on my neck goes all different ways is that n no rmal? So I should just let it grow then use your finger backwards L technique and shape it up, another thing is I already have a full beard and its with my jaw line pretty much maybe little under will my neck cach up with it? My beard is pretty thick comes in fast especially the neck . appreciate it
Great video, A quick question though, I've been growing my beard for 5months now and it's at a fairly good length. The one problem that I keep coming across is around my chin, I've been blow drying and combing with brushes and the Kent combs but for some reason I can't seem to get it to straighten out, does it get better as it grows or is there something that I seem to be doing wrong? I'm trying to go for more length but just the bits around the chin really bother me. Any advice?
time and length brother, try not trimming for a month or two or three, and in the in between use scissors to trim the oddball strays and split ends, that should solve your dilemma
you forgot to burp again Also I'm really glad you did this video.... I've fucked mine up too many times. you'll be happy to know I've put the beard trimmer away and pulled out the Wahl
Wish my beard would grow out straight like that. I got the curliest beard ever. Can't even comb it cause that just makes all the hair curl up and reach for the sky and it look horrible. Have to let it all get tangled just so it looks good. Other downside to a curly beard, is it take 3 times longer to grow it out. I'm up to 3 months now and it's just finally getting to a length worthy enough to be called a beard, and my beard is pretty thick/full.
ScubaTube i use beard balm and beard styling balm every day to help keep it tamed. I tried blow drying when it was shorter and it wasn't working for me. It helped a little but was still very curly.
I know in my experience, that beard wax has the most holding power of all the products I have ever tried. I'm surprised the blow dryer doesn't work You might just be cursed with a curly beard unless you grow it out really long and gravity helps you out
ScubaTube yea I've basically excepted the curse and been just trying to embrace it. Lol. I'll try the wax, just feel the wax would make my beard feel heavy and stiff
Use a flat iron for like normal hair it'll straighten even the gnarliest beard out I know this bc I too have a curly ass beard and that's been the best way to get it straightened out just flat iron it out and comb it with a beard comb it will still get curly again at the end of the day but that could be where the beard balm comes in
a beard that long and luxurious needs a cute gay friend to come over and trim it. gay guys always get it right. for some reason, a gay guy knows how NOT to make another guy look gay. that is particularly important when getting a luxurious pelt like that trimmed because it can easily come out looking just a little TOO put together after a trim. know what I mean? just be prepared to notice the gay guy getting a hard on while trimming you. consider it a compliment and ignore it.

No problem at all man!! Sorry that happened to you
Dude I had the same thing happen. Learned the hard way that my normal good barber is worth the wait. My fault for being in a hurry and going to an unknown.
Your beard looks particularly good in this video. It is shaped more perfectly than it is in many of your other videos. Who needs that barber!!!
I love that you leave links to everything i watch so many video they sit there talk about a product and there is no link so thanks!
Yea definitely man!! Helps everybody out, and saves a bunch of time

Thanks.
Thanks for the links. Followed your tips in another of your videos and it worked perfectly. Thank you sir!
I'm just trying to get the cheeks long enough to tie into the rest of it. It's so hard to fight the urge to trim
Thanks for the informative video with no fluff and bullshit. Exactly what I was looking for. You've got a subscriber dude. I'll tell all my beard pals about you as well.
So many people trim with their jaw line and I'm really happy you've cleared that up so that hopefully no more people will make that mistake
Yea that's like the number one mistake people make
And I mean I'm not gonna act like I'm innocent lol I've made that mistake many times but now I know👍🏼
This my first time growing mine out and before even doing research on videos I automatically knew not to do that if I wanted true growth and a full looking beard

Best advice for trimming a beard when trying to grow ur beard long
Nice beard I wish mines was like yours!awsome man you are my beard mentor thanks for teaching us how to build up our beard.
My bottom chin hair grows much faster & thicker than face hair so idk how to incorporate how long or short ...still watching 👀 so. . Hopefully u say something about it. Tnks
What’s the best way to help the beard from curling out on the jawline? Great videos buy the way!
I'm trying to grow a beard just like yours. How long is it?

Hey I try :) thanks for watching
Thanks
dude dope vid. where do you start shaving from your neck? do you shave from the bottom of your Adams apple down or top of the adamsapple?
Thanks brother, I'm going to give it a shot
great video very helpful
Hey Scuba, have u tried beard oil from Bedfordshire Beard Co ?
No I never have, there are alot of companies I have never tried
Have you used Dollar Beard Clubs Sandalwood? It's been my favorite scent so far, but other "sandalwoods" haven't come close too it.
I haven't tried them out. I should look into it
Hey champ love ur videos quick question buddy how do u deal with shedding daily especially when grooming ur beard..is it normal to shedd every day...king.beardsmen beard products thanks champ
Dammit. What do you do to your throat line?!?! Every video I watch ends after the bulk trim. I need a tutorial on the throat!!!!!!!
at what point in your beard growth (yeard) would you start trimming?
What timmer do you like the best, and used the most the” Brio”or the ”Wahl” for a more precision job can’t afford both. Thanks
I need help with mines and don’t know what to do with it. Maybe you can please help me ?
i never trimed the bottom of mine should i try it or go to a professional ? lol im scared of fucking it up
Just take it nice and easy, small even strokes. Don't go trying to take big chunks off
Hey bro what do you do for beardriff? I've tried just about everything.
I know you're looking in the mirror but how do you see the underside as you're trimming, especially with such a big beard?
I have a big monitor right next to the camera that shows me what the camera shows. It's kind of tricky, but gets the job done lol
Does this roadmap work for eyebrows as well?
What was that product that you used at the end of the video?
Can we use kent comb for our hair too
What is your opinion of the Wahl colm that comes with those Clippers?
I want a beard like the Duck Dynasty guys, how long will it take ?
How doesn’t the comb pull ur hair mine pulls all the time
how much time it took for you to have tht length ....
Great tips, thx!
No burp in this video, what the fuck?!
I was sitting down editing, and I'm scrolling through the footage, looking for the burp, and I felt the same way as you. I had to go wrestle an alligator with ankle weights and one hand tied behind me immediately, just to make sure I was still a man :)
Hahaha
Hey brother, are you selling your own products or doing affiliate links? I have a client who has some amazing products that would be good for your channel.

I wish I had a beard like that. My beard isn't nearly as thick.
putting that ring light to use!!
somebody watches my snaps :) thanks so much for keeping up with the channel man!!
Great beard vids
Do you allow your neck hair to grow out along with your cheek hair? Or is this all cheek?
Chris Ogle I think most beards also grow hair under the chin, and most people trim what grows on their actual neck. So I think the answer is, no it's not all checks, and no it's not neck hair
thanks for sharing! 🤙
thanks for watching!!
How low does your under beard line go?
Beard oil Spartan? No link
You the man scuba
lol I try
Your Channel is what got me wanting to grow out my beard! 🙏🏻
Also, Spartans den beard oil is awesome 👏
Lastly, if you haven't already tried cremo beard balm you should give that a review it's the first beard balm I've ever bought smellsssss amazing.
Michael Tapper I was out in the same place with mine. Letting the neck beard grow out and catch up did wonders for the look. Hope you figured it out
I want one
look solid dude
thanks so much man!
Great video,
A quick question though, I've been growing my beard for 5months now and it's at a fairly good length.
Any advice?
Some people just have more curly hair than others. One thing that will help straighten it is using beard balm.
Craig Everard use a boar bristle brush daily to train the hairs to straighten and go in your preferred direction. takes time but will straighten out
time and length brother, try not trimming for a month or two or three, and in the in between use scissors to trim the oddball strays and split ends, that should solve your dilemma
Awesome!! Love when I see you guys helping each other out
thanks for helping craig out!!
You look like Imtimtheman ahah good vid.
you forgot to burp again
Also I'm really glad you did this video.... I've fucked mine up too many times. you'll be happy to know I've put the beard trimmer away and pulled out the Wahl
