PAM is long overdue for service. Take the time ( won't be long, plenty of easy to find info ) to learn about the movements, there is a huge difference between 649x , the 649x-1 ( like the one in the Steinhart ) , and the 6497-2 that Panerai uses as ebauche , and puts not just decorations but, several parts / upgrades in. Your PAM after a proper service and regulation by someone skilled should run at +/- 0.2 seconds per day with ease, while the 6498-1 will just run within normal COSC specs. Just because something looks similar, it doesn't mean it's the same thing, same materials, same components.
