I actually unironically admire the movie. It was clearly made with tremendous heart and effort despite very limited resources. They had a vision and they were determined to make it happen no matter what. The plot is also very deep and complex. The filmmakers put a lot of thought into Time Chasers and it shows. It's a great episode of MST, but I dig the movie too.
Honestly I feel the same about this and Overdrawn at the Memory Bank. Sure, it's a made-for-tv movie that confuses itself as much as it confuses the audience, but there's some heart in there. Someone, or more than just one, cared and was enthusiastic about bringing a vision or a message, despite everything going against it. Those are the best kinds of B-movies: where you can respect the creation as well as the criticism.
I think that’s why this episode is so beloved. Despite the jokes, the joy and ambition of the movie is evident. It misses its targets, but it aimed high
Whichever direction in time it was, this was clearly the “other guy’s Crow” that got trashed on the interstate at the beginning of _Quest of the Delta Knights._
UPDATE: I have returned from 1991, July 20 to be precise, and told myself to NOT publish the dissertation unless my future self wanted to deal with how to best inform commenters that my post was a joke.
The real issue is being able to read or write to that disk drive while the plane is flying. The vibrations of the plane would have made it impossible. He would have been better off using the tape deck even if it was slow as all heck fire.
1:14:21 "You're grounded!" 💥👊 "And it's all over!" I remember I almost died laughing when I first saw this. This is by far my favorite MST3K gag of the entire series! "But I chased you on a horse, I'm supposed to wiiiiiin!"
There are episodes during the Sci-Fi era that are up there with the Comedy Central era of Mystery Science Theater’s most famous episodes like Pod People and Manos! Time Chasers is definitely among them and is still one of the funniest episodes ever!
This film may have seemed goofy and dated when it was made, but it doesn't get enough credit for its writing. They present a believable vision of Vermont at the time and a very likely vision of the future of Vermont.
Honestly a good movie about the dangers of timetravel and why corrupt ceo's should not be in charge of the future Also am glad the skydiving granny finally showed up to close the movie
So, we're now closer to 2041 than we were to the time of mullets, I decided to examine this film for accuracy, and I've already come up with the fact that they have food courts when we shop online and eat takeout or delivery.
Hey, you know what, as a bicycle commuter who's figured out THE ultimate life-hack to save hella money, I take alot of your cycling jokes PERSONALLY!! SO..... Thank you!!!😅😅😅😅 This is SUCH a classic episode!❤😅😅❤
Even knowing some of the issues with the movie's plot and lack thereof, I always found Time Chasers one of the few movies that I felt wasn't completely devoid of worth and had a interesting premise it committed to, even if the movie had to keep it within the framework of Vermont (because of where it was filmed, obviously).
Except no, he literally names a better way to make money than selling his time machine to an evil corporation (he seems to only know from their commercial). It's almost easier to accidentally make money with a time machine, and keep making it. Literally every option would be better than one lump sum from EvilCorp.
One thing I enjoy about this movie is how enthusiastic the rev war reenactors are. The raw delivery of "AVENGE OUR RANGERS!" at 1:09:25 legitimately gets me hyped.
One of the cut scenes has a guy named Griz recount how the use of time travel to rewrite the outcomes of past military defeats basically caused the gradual breakdown of society.
The most irreverent, intelligent, Da-Da ist group of characters created by the likes of both Joel and Tracy. I was recently reminded of their genius from a few appearances on the earlier episodes of Late Night with David Letterman’s show @ 1982-83 and his last one some 15 + years later as how much he had put into his own creationism; nary saying barely a single word, but showing us the audience he talent of his near future.1986 he wrote the first pilot’s premise with the help of a good portion of the same cast whom were also on the first showing of what would come to be called the MST3K’s Sattelite ( love wasn’t yet on the title just yet btw), but once Hodgson had become the original leader the robot friends were shortly added in writing ✍️ I never knew he had done so many great stories that were already inside of his own brain beforehand. Sad to say that a great portion of the world doesn’t understand what the terminology is; let alone the whole premise of this particular show so many years later. Love ya’s and every single thing that you’ve taken your time to make it such a legendary series. Thanks for sharing something special with the rest of us geeked out underdogs who appreciate you guys so deeply. Sincerely, DJP Anal C__t; Postmortem and Kilslug Sony; Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! 36:05 But if CEO Evil has already made another time machine, why does he even CARE if Chin Man is on the project or not? It doesn't matter in the least if Chin just LEAVES. Why doesn't he just let him leave and throw his tantrums ineffectually?
The opening skit between Mike and Pearl is so wholesome it immediately cemented this as one of my favorite episodes

Check out Pressure Point on Rifftrax by the same director. It's not as good as this one, but it has a certain charm as well.
@@StevoBortzLevel99 Overdrawn at the Memory Bank is my favorite episode.
um, this movie sucks
I saw this episode on the Sci Fi channel so many times growing up. Castleton for life!!
FOR CASTLETON!!!!
Riff Trax does one too! It's free on Tubi tv
My first MST.
You never forget your first.
mine was this island earth/the movie
This is a solid “first” episode. 🙂 Mine was _The Giant Gila Monster._ Good times.
My first was Gamera vs Giras(?). A classic. How could anyone ever forget a giant fire-breathing turtle performing flips on a high bar?
My first was Pod People!
Mine was Space Munity by accident (XD)
On September 23 1991, I published a dissertation on why there would actually be two Future Crows and not one Past and one Future.
Do you remember your basic points? I'm interested to hear.
Whichever direction in time it was, this was clearly the “other guy’s Crow” that got trashed on the interstate at the beginning of _Quest of the Delta Knights._
Can you summarize? I’m anxious to hear your reasoning.
UPDATE: I have returned from 1991, July 20 to be precise, and told myself to NOT publish the dissertation unless my future self wanted to deal with how to best inform commenters that my post was a joke.
Got eeeem
I love that exchange with Pearl and Mike! It was really nice!
Fifty years from now it'll be three years from now: the story of commercial fusion power.
"Hi, Mrs Heinz"
"How's your ketchup empire?"
😆
One of my favorite MST3K films, next to Space Mutiny!
I like "Overdrawn at the memory bank"
'Will someone please shut off the Floating Fat Man'
Space Mutiny makes me laugh every single time. The names of the main guy, the running gag about the birthday card, the bit about Tibetan monks
@captainforrix956 Space Mutiny is one of my favourites, Sting, Debbie Reynolds and God...
Servo's mismatched countdown during the plane crash at the end always gets me
“Hi, I’m Bob Evil.”
This one and "hi, I'm Bob Jackass" from Merlin always get me every time 😂
Been watching for 37 yrs maybe a bit longer!! ❤😂😅👍
Me and my daughter watched this, and that Christmas I bought her a Castleton T-shirt from Amazon. The exact one in the movie. Lol
Why would you need funding from anyone if you had a Time Machine? 😂
Castleton takes a lot of "protection" money you need to cover first
my favorite MST of all time :)
What about Space Mutiny?
@bonitabromeliads that's my #2!
The Final Sacrifice is my all time favorite
Who knew the Commodore 64 could do so much?
forget the delorean or a ww2 era british phone booth
a cessna jacked up to a C64 is the real time travler's dream
Commodore 64 and a supercharger lid lol
The real issue is being able to read or write to that disk drive while the plane is flying.
The vibrations of the plane would have made it impossible.
He would have been better off using the tape deck even if it was slow as all heck fire.
There was an automotive shop over in Europe that used a C64 to run its alignment system up until recently. If it works, don't break it.
_Time Chasers_ was released in 1994, filmed in 1991, and apparently got all its costumes and props from 1983.
He died as he lived: mud-stained and splaying.
That riff never gets old. And I can't even count how many times I've seen this episode since my first viewing in 97 or 98.
He’s dead but don’t worry, they have a spare
"Hi, I'm Bob Evil!" 😂😂😂
"I'll walk back to the past."
I’d like to thank Josh, my mom’s bf for getting me this dvd as a kid, through entirely legal means I’m sure
1:14:21 "You're grounded!"
💥👊
"And it's all over!"
I remember I almost died laughing when I first saw this. This is by far my favorite MST3K gag of the entire series!
"But I chased you on a horse, I'm supposed to wiiiiiin!"
Honestly, it’s really cool to see a show that was filmed in my town
Ah, finally, The Citizens and Officials of Rutland, Vermont have arrived.
A small joy of visiting Vermont for the first time and flying into Rutland was getting to show my parents this movie for the first time.
Servo singing along to the music with different songs caught me each time.

Time Chasers is definitely among them and is still one of the funniest episodes ever!
The Hand of Fate
Honestly, I think the Sci-fi episodes are peak MST3K. Nearly all my favorite episodes are from that stretch.
“Come to Martin’s. What up?!” I love it hahaha
MARTIN Lawrence reference. I miss his show.
This film may have seemed goofy and dated when it was made, but it doesn't get enough credit for its writing. They present a believable vision of Vermont at the time and a very likely vision of the future of Vermont.
Sixteen men on a dead Dodge Dart 😂
18:00 Crow's exasperation is effing hilarious. I feel ya buddy...
"Plane Protective Service" 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly a good movie about the dangers of timetravel and why corrupt ceo's should not be in charge of the future
Also am glad the skydiving granny finally showed up to close the movie
Best line: 25:01 : "Nonono, LISTEN to me you SIMP!!" . God, I love Bill Corbett and his voice ;D.
So, we're now closer to 2041 than we were to the time of mullets, I decided to examine this film for accuracy, and I've already come up with the fact that they have food courts when we shop online and eat takeout or delivery.
Mullets are very in lately though. No joke.
Food courts might make a returnance in the 2030s
Returnance is a word from the 2030s
59:49 "I shaved this morning and got a Nic" 😂 gets me everytime
Crow protesting Matthew Bruch as the star has always stuck with me.
“Oh, thank you movie.”
Hey, you know what, as a bicycle commuter who's figured out THE ultimate life-hack to save hella money, I take alot of your cycling jokes PERSONALLY!! SO.....
Thank you!!!😅😅😅😅
This is SUCH a classic episode!❤😅😅❤
one of my top 10 for sure.
Hilarious episode great riffing good host segments 😅
So in the future kids will be running around talking on smart phones... Wait! 😳
Night Court was the best TV show ever!
The value of that VW 🤣
The uploads just keep getting better and better.
Imagine you time travelled with someone then casually met them at the supermarket the day after you came back from time travelling. Awesome.

¡love mst3k!
Never gets old. THX Guys!
One of my favorite episodes.
Love this episode ❣️
@7:00 Out of everyone I watch MST3K with, it's only me laughing at the dog voice that leads all words with R.
That bit gets me every time.
One thing I enjoy about this movie is how enthusiastic the rev war reenactors are. The raw delivery of "AVENGE OUR RANGERS!" at 1:09:25 legitimately gets me hyped.
I didn't know Mac Tonight appeared in anything other than the McDonald's commercials.
Ah, it’s an early 90s movie.
I haven’t seen this since the reunion.
Pink boy for president!
Campaign slogan: He’s a team player!
Doesn’t mean he’s a good shot, though
You would've thought he could've handled that situation with his mustache
15:00 "Reverse the polarity", so this is a Doctor Who episode? Would explain the time travel.
It's amazing what they could do with 64k Bytes of ram in the 80s ..
One of The Classics! But, Where is Space Mutiny?!
What, a guy can only have one grandmother? 🤔
Thank you and good night 😊
Who am I trying to kid? I never went to Castleton.
This looks like the same title font as Overdrawn at the Memory Bank 7:19
So, what did the Park Ranger say to the forest? " Looks like that moss has taken a lichen to that tree"! hahahaahaaha
Creature Features' version of Time Chasers ended and auto loaded this one. Nice.
Hey it’s the my pillow guy
perfect
Yeesh, young Mike had some buff arms.
When Nick kisses Lisa in the plane it looks she's going to 🤮.
What a love story!
How much castle is in this film? A ton o' Castle.
This made me laugh unnecessarily hard: 18:00
Wow, I bet the lead actor could construct some solid oak shelves!
of the 104 actors listed on imdb for this, 9 have a picture.
This looks absolutely foul, but I'm compelled to watch because of all the Commodore products.
honestly the lead actor isn't bad at all, it's just unfortunate that his face is... well, his face
That's right, Grandma came back from the dead, built a duplicate plane and crashed it!
Release Date: 1994
Budget: $150k
I know they cut some scenes for broadcast time. Did any of those scenes explain just what the heck Robertson actually did to destroy the future?
One of the cut scenes has a guy named Griz recount how the use of time travel to rewrite the outcomes of past military defeats basically caused the gradual breakdown of society.
@@androzani84productions85 ohh! huh, that's actually kinda clever. thank you for filling me in!

28:51 That Michael Biehn? (NAvy Seals, Terminator)
Anybody have a clue about the Turkey Day Marathon this year?
57:05 is the best scene in the whole movie
I would call this film a vanity project but no vain person would want this.
Or sane person!
Everyone’s so….. pink.
Especially pink boy. Pink Boy!

17:21 sent bob sagat to meet charlemange! Oh my god, hahahaha
I found out about Only Fans in the future - so I'm passing on Gen-Corp! 🤣
I can't understand why someone made the decision to use that intro song...
How did J.K. " time jump" them? 50:45
worldwide standards
How many of you go "REBOOT" every time you saw the opening of this movie?
Dude
12:02
BEAUTIFULLY bad acting
only possible from someone who doesn't know how to act normal period
I wasn't watching MST3K by this season (except for reruns I occasionally caught). What street corner did they find Crow's replacement actor on?!
This movie sucked
