Ive put 500 hours into bannerlord in the past 3 months. Mods thats the only answer to play now. the base game is great but the mods make it one of the best games ever. Truely game changing mods

Great Video! I play that game some times, having around 380 hours in it and its really fun. But I got a question since I didnt play it for a while. Is it now "basic" to have thousands of men on the battlefield or do you still need that battlesize mod for it? If thats the case, it probably would have been better to mention that in first reason.
I love bannerlord but unfortunately console is just so bland. Diplomacy sucks in endgame and things like duels with other lords should really be a thing. Its a shame as well how dead bannerlord's multiplayer is on console unless you are in a clan or playing at certain times
mods are the only thing saving this game since nothing of any considerable weight has been added since early access drop in 2020, unfortunately a lot of Modders are holding back from fully committing because talesworld updates the game monthly with bug fixes constantly changing code and versions, and talesworld has also been dead silent for a year about potential content, and have ignored the communities pleas for a road map
Unless you are on console like me. Theres not enough content currently and half of almost everything is still broken. I've seen this game on PC vanilla and there's more polish there than we currently have on console nvm modders making content and fixing the game for others. Wish they'd add modding to the console version.
Can you get right to battling or do you have to basically play FarmVille for 50 hours before you ever get to fight? I can’t find anything on XBox that gets right to the point like TotalWar.
I really don't think that's true. The main reason people take issue with it is due to the terrible launch. It released with less features than warband, terrible combat, economic and ai balancing and afaik is still lacking in the deeper aspects modded warband can deliver. I'm not saying it's bad outright, and I imagine a lot has been fixed since, but it's definitely possible to make it what it could be, better than warband. For whatever reason the devs can't or won't.
@@Sp4rt4nSl4ya could be, but its still difficult since warband is one of the better games along with dlc to come out in the 2010s. So its a hard task, the devs probably realized that quite some time into development. Yes it released in a bad state thus i havent gave it time until now, now i think its ok with some exceptions.
@@Mattsson951I played alot of warband and alot of bannerlord. Played warband first to. Warband was so cool for it's time. But bannerlord is awesome guys. It's got better graphics better fighting. Better looking towns to siege. Better loot and armor by far smithing is awesome to. Charater leveling is really fun and I prefer the perk system in bannerlord. You have bigger battles. I haven't played warband in a little while but I can't think of much it's superior to bannerlord in. it's just I played it for the first 1hr. I found the new interface and options overwhelming at first and wasn't as keen. But after playing for abit I never looked back got use to the new screens started to like them and understand them. Got abit confused. Now I have had mutiple saves with successful kingdoms. Where I get about 50 to 130 kills all by myself when attacking enemies captains or sieging.
@@Mattsson951 its just lacking a lot of the depth of character that warband had. Bringing back unique companions, feasts, and other elements that aren't just war and more war would go a long way toward making the game not feel like you're just out here to paint the map in your color with siege after siege from the very start of the game. Sure combats better, but there's no character or people to make me give a damn and try becoming a king myself. Warband may not be pretty or play well, but at least the people in the world felt more alive, some of which helped give you a purpose or path to follow. And don't even get me started on the broken economy in BL.

You can also play completely as a criminal running illegal rackets, robbing caravans, and working as a mercenary too.
Criminal aspect is pretty barebones and was entirely added so Talesworld could say they added something in the years worth of content drought

It's still essentially in early access so we're not likely to see a new title for a long time if ever.

I think its a nice game, i know the community likes to harp on it but its just impossible to live up to the expectations of a warband sequel imo

Bannerlord is in my top 5 favourite games to play weekly. I haven't played warband in 3 or 4 years.
