I married a horsey bird. She's epic. She tries/does everything and if she falls over she gets back up and does it harder and better. She can change a starter motor quicker than i can. Go Abi!

Dan, if you’re going to keep the kitchen door where it is, I suggest you put a window into the end wall that faces into the workshop. There will come a time when you’ll have a second person also working in the shop and you will want to be able to observe them whenever you choose. Blind spots in a workshop isn’t a good idea for any reason, especially accident safety.

It's refreshing to see someone SO HAPPY about a project and the progress they are making. I thought I would never watch anyone do a rehab/rebuild but I love how happy he is about doing it, even though he seems clearly stressed, I just LOVE what content Dan puts out. Came for the GTI restoration, staying for EVERYTHING ELSE!

You’ll need to eventually end up with the tiled floor, make it look like a proper VW workshop, I’m already getting the same vibes with the colour scheme you’re going with.

Great progress!! Looks amazing. Look up a company called Watco. They do all sorts of paint type products for floor repairs and coatings. My garage floor didn’t have a membrane underneath and I had an issue with rising damp through the slab. Bought one of their paint on coatings and it created a waterproof membrane. Well worth the money!

im conflicted with the grooves in the concrete - i know it will get traction and allow water to settle in the low spots but man - anything you roll on that flow with small wheels is going to be a nightmare - at least thats how it seems from my end of the pond - i guess with the lift you wont need to roll around on a creeper much but not sure what your thoughts are Dan and internet
