Did you get the Meyle top mounts? I have the H&R anti roll bars sat in the garage with a set of Powerflex bushes waiting to be fitted. Can't wait to see how they improve the handling further. I'll be doing a road test video over easter.
@@Iain1107 Have the black series bushes effected the ride quality? Has it made the ride harsh? Your the first person I've come across that has fitted black series. Very curious to know what they are like.
Nice Vid mate - love the van and the stance. Mine has coil overs on it from when I bought it and am not sure they're very good. Previous owner may have skimped a little on quality over price. I'll be watchin all your videos and likely copying a bit here and there as our vans look to be very similar.
Just subscribed! I really like them wheels and looking for something to replace mine on the T5.1 as their starting to look a bit tired now, hopefully video to follow soon😃
I’ve had a nightmare lately so looking at swapping my koni out with these. Had a really rough ride and instability that’s got worse. Had lower arms/ball joints replaced subframe engine mounts and top mounts in hope it was anything but my 18month old shocks….So hopefully getting these will sort it as not much left to point the finger at.
@@GS04WAL that’s great to know! Do they soak up rough ground ok? ARB’s are in my hit list but I’ll be happy to just resolve my current teeth shaking ride lol. I was more than happy with koni at first but somethings failed in them. looks good lower too!
@@davem4131 They are great, I'm running them 10mm off the bottom and they have bottom out a couple of times but I can drive around that. Depending on what stance you want I would consider the SOLOW LOW if you want to go lower than me. I also found that switching from a 275/40/20 tyre to a 275/35/40 improved the right quality on its own.
Purchased my van around 2 months ago, it come with the same Cobra springs. OMG I couldn’t believe a dealer was willing to put these on a van they would be charging 60k for. I thought I had better act quickly before I had no teeth left. Finally getting my Eibach pro Street coilovers fitted tomorrow with the H&R anti roll bars. Those Cobra springs are terrible!
I had the same thoughts about dealers fitting them and then charging silly money. I think the H&R anti roll bars are a must for me now, I would be interested the here how you get on with them. Also looking at Porsche Macan brakes.
@@GS04WAL I will let you know 👍🏻. The only issue is, I’m having both fitted at the same time so I won’t know how each perform individually. Mitch @ HQ said upgraded antiroll bars are the best improvement that can be made to a suspension set up, this convinced me to get it all done at the same time.
Ride is excellent. I have also fitted the H&R anti roll bars which has stiffened things up a bit and they have introduced a bit of bounce. That said it turns in like a b*****d. Its great to drive. But just fitting the coilovers was a big improvement for ride quality over standard dampers and lowering springs. They are a lot smoother, the springs are softer.
@@GS04WAL I am on 275/40r20 atm, I am going to try out 245/40r20, it is same diameter as your current ones, it should also help with turning and rolling resistance. I need to see that low 40s mpgLOL.
You do have to slow down a bit more than normal for humps and stuff but I accept that making big changes to the spec of the van means I will inevitably have to change the way I drive. Its worth it to be able to go round corners much quicker. I’ve got the H&R anti roll bars in the garage waiting to be fitted so it’ll be on rails when those go on.
How far up or down have you got left to wind on these? Im undecided between nsl or nxt. I wouldnt want to go any lower than you with the state of the roads around me!
I see a van most days (T6) with air suspension parked it’s sooo looow and apparently it rides brilliantly
Air is supposedly the best for ride quality.
I'm off to transporter HQ soon to have HR lowering springs fitted from them😊
Would be interested to hear what they are like Darren.
Just had so low nsl fitted with meyle upgrades - it's the difference of night and day

Had the meyle top mounts, drop links and power flex black bushes fitted. Looking at anti roll bars now. It's gonna love the lakes roads

@GS04WAL haven't had her out long enough to notice tbh, I'm on 275s so there's a bit of a scrub on full lock, but she looks the dogs danglers

Highly recommend the SoLow NSLs paired with the H&R anti roll bars.

Cheers, wheels are Wolfrace Evokes, I don’t think they make them anymore. Video coming at the end of August on them. Had a few issues.
@@GS04WAL look forward to it

Definitely recommend these, I'm going to get the H&R anti roll bars fitted after Christmas and possibly some up rated bushing as well.

Nice van! What's the wheels size and name?
Thanks, they are 20 inch Wolfrace Evoke's. I'm not sure if they make them anymore.
Whats the ride like ? Very bouncy ? Soak the road up well ?

Nice looking van, I was indecisive between solos low and nsl, but now I think it will get the nsl. What tyre you are running?
Changed from a 275/40/20 to a 275/35/20 before I fitted the NSLs. There was a noticeable improvement in ride quality just by switching tyre.

Hey! Who installed the coilovers please? Looking for a recommendation of garage ?
The installation was carried by Crows Garage, Pogmoor, Barnsley.
what headlight you got on the van, looking real nice!
They are the Vanstyle ones but they show a warning light when using full beam. If I was buying noew I would buy the Transporter HQ ones.
How do you find the clearence with speed bumps etc? Confidently fly over them or always have to slow ?
Debating NSL or B14 Komforts.

@GS04WAL thanks for the info.
Hi what tyres must be for 8.5 19 and 9.5 19??
I don't know I run 20s.

On the front I set them 10mm off the bottom so 85mm on the front. The garage then matched the rears up.
@@GS04WAL thanks for this! Just ordered the NSLs and a set of rotiform dtms for my shuttle
What tyres you running on the NSL
Van sits well
Running a 275/35/20, no rubbing at all
