- Today we're visiting Alex Nickens of Nickens Lawn & Landscape and seeing the inside of his massive 50X100 shop! Alex has a great landscaping business and over the last few years he's been able to acquire this shop and make it their new headquarters.
Alex takes us on the tour and shows us how his shop is organized, how they have their work benches, and how they fit all of their equipment inside. He also gives us a sneak peak at their on site fuel tanks and a new custom salt bin they added just this last winter.
Thank you again to the 4 tour sponsors Kujo, Yardbook, Equipment Defender and STIHL. If you'd like to check out this episodes sponsor Yardbook and sign up with their FREE CRM, you can visit them at www.Yardbook.com.

Thanks for the tour Alex - you have a great shop and setup going!
Alex is such a savage, he parks his ENCLOSED trailer INSIDE!
😆😆😆
@@Bdigital9482 Not quite bud 😏
If you have the space it makes sense. Trailers especially good aluminum enclosed trailers aren't cheap.
Thats the trailer with all the tools in it, and the easiest thing to break into so its probably a security thing
Absolutely killer set up from all the tools & spare, equipment. The best part is the utilisation of space so Alex can buy everything in bulk. Bad ass shop & business. Well done Alex. 👏
Brian, these videos are awesome! I don’t even work in the lawn care industry but spend hours watching these!
He called his 30x30 a shed.🤣Awesome!
That is a great business setup! At only 30! 😳 That kid is going places!
The podcast with Alex was really good as well. Love Fullerton Unfiltered!
I live in Illinois about 70 from Nickens Lawn & Landscape. I like that they got a shop set up with air and air compressor. That they do there own repair and can keep equipment inside. Like nuts & bolts bins and they save money and time.
Yardbook changed my world, second year. Thank you Brian.
That’s awesome!
17:49 Interesting how the pallet racks are four feet in front of the entry door. Makes sense if all the large traffic comes and goes via the overhead doors. Makes that door area into a hallway of storage. Most cool.
The shop tours are the best.
This is sweet. I love it. I put a hole in the work bench where I work on mower engines or any engine or equipment that has a shaft. The mower engine shaft can go through the hole and let's the engine sit level.
Love these shop tours and videos on trailer setup . Keep them coming 👍🏻
Thanks, will do!
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AT ITS BEST!!!
Alright! Alex Nickens… one of my fav channels .. a guy much like myself that puts in the garage work too. Great tour…. Alex seems like a great guy, doing well…. Just never been a fan of the black rear bobcat doors he rolls with for a while now
I liked his fuel setup the best.
i like most of the engines on the shelf and the work part . the vid I like how you broke it up and made it not seem like 30 min.
Love the Shop Tour videos! ✊🏽
Really enjoy the shop tours!
Glad to see things are going great Alex .. big inspiration
That was sick
Congratulations on the new kid!!!!
That's one hell of a shop. Damn.
60’x105’ Morton Building here! Heated floor, lift, hot water! I should have gone at least 120’ deep. Never big enough!!
Now that’s a dream shop!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance hit me up!!! I’m in Erie, PA! You’re welcome to tour it!!
Yardbook is the BOMB!!!!!!
Everything all great thank you Brian.
Sweet I'm final first at something lol. Love the shop tour tours.
Dude I loved this!!

Yardbook is awesome and iam like 80% on tips on yardbook

Wow such a sick shop !!
Killer setup 🔥
If I already use QB as a CRM, would you recommend switching to yardbook?
Great shop! Brian when are building yours?
Hey Brian I’ve been watching your videos for a while, if you’re gonna head up to the Northwest our shop is located in Vancouver Washington. We have a pretty decent sized company
30 and that successful amazing.
That's cool my friend s
Love the size of the property
I live 30 minutes away and I need new equipment for my next crew I need to buy some of that.
Good to see Nickens. Where's Nick, though?
Hey your in my neck of the woods. I’m in O’fallon Il
Hey man, just wondering why you run quick books and yard books rather than just yard books.
One for accounting one to track customer info and invoicing.
It was nice
bobcat is number 1
Awesome
Park the dump truck and the trailer with a garage door on the end of the building instead of having the garage door on the side of the building.
I am getting shop fever
How tall is the ceiling?
" 30x30 shed" damn. My shop is 30x30
This is kind of personal but how much would a company like this bring in a year
$400k+
@@BriansLawnMaintenance would all that be profit
@@BriansLawnMaintenance i just do flower beds and lawn maintenance in louisiana and have always wondered if it would be worth the big jump to cover everything landscaping
