Just wanted to let you know that Burt’s Bees has toothpaste without SLS, Triclosan and Parabens. No artificial flavours and sweetners. No preservatives and Blue, Red and Yellow dyes. No plastic microbeads.
My functional medicine doctor suggests Revitin (children can swallow it and it's OK) and Xyli-White. My husband and I LOVE those. Revitin is rather expensive so we alternate with the Xyli-White.
@@Me-life77 , you can find xylitol in the sweetener/baking aisle at the supermarket. It's usually in a bag near the sugar substitutes. It's next to Swerve and Lakanto, etc.
Thanks for reviewing toothpaste. I switched to Natural toothpastes that contain Neem several years ago and have had really good check ups with my dentist ever since. This includes rehabilitating my gums which have become very healthy. Cheers! Ron
What Bobby suggested to you, I have as well. You may have to spend a decent amount of money for it, but it's worth it. Think of it as an investment. In all honesty, I have a couple of friends, who's cancer went into remission and they totally credit alkaline water for it.
This was great! I have been using the Redmond's and I like it, but was concerned about the cancer warning. I think one of the ones containing silica may be better for removing tartar, so thanks for giving me some good options.
Hey Bobby I was wondering about the ingredients that protect enamel, right cavities, etc and simply protect the health of the teeth along with whitening. Can this be addressed somehow? It seems the ingredients are natural and good but didn’t address or include any tooth health or gum health benefits. Just curious. Thank you for these videos, they’re always informative.
Danielle, I know your question is from a year ago, but I have been using Redmond Earth Paste for a few months now, and it does seem to be making my teeth and gums stronger and healthier as well pretty much eliminating any sensitivity problems. Last time I had my teeth cleaned, the dental hygienist was impressed.
Fluoride. Fluoride is the best at protecting your teeth. The amount that you'd get from it (brushing twice a day) is so incredibly minuscule that there won't be any "side effects."
Thank you for this. I've been having a difficult time shopping for toothpaste. I have cancer, gluten and dairy allergies and can only have organic foods, non-fluoride and low iodine items for eating, drinking and products I buy.. I use Tom's, but will definitely switch products. Also have difficulty with shampoo, soaps and cosmetics. It is ridiculous some of the arsenic and chemicals found in these products.
Hi Bobby, love your vlogs. Very educational. I'm wondering if you could review serum, and day/night moisturizers. I want to start using a facial and eye serum, but am a bit overwhelmed. Thank you.
We've always used Tom's. Now I can't UNKNOW this..... sometimes ignorance is bliss 🙈😂 here's to an overhaul on all our toothpastes. Any one else?! 😭 Knowledge is power!!
The redmond earthpaste actually has trace amounts of flouride. So our teeth still get a little natural flouride, but isn't a potentially toxic amount. The cinnamon one is my favorite one, too. I don't really like the other flavors.
Have you checked with a dentist to see if salt, bark and other ingredients are safe for tooth enamel? Some dentists don’t like certain ingredients because they say they erode tooth enamel over time.
Thank you so much bobby, I'm diabetic and was always struggling with constipation too and since i started watching your videos and i feel really good. And thanks for this great video. God bless you, 👍☺
Some months ago I noticed I was finding particles inside my mouth that I could not explain. It was like the inside of my cheeks were peeling off. I did some research and found out exactly what is addressed in this video and that is that sodium lauryl sulfate causes this peeling inside your mouth! I looked and looked for a toothpaste without this chemical and finally found that Sensodyne Pronamel with gentle whitening does not contain it. I have been using this toothpaste for awhile without anymore problems.
Well in my case sensodyne MADE my mouth filled with that shit EVERY morning. Aquafresh didn't tho. Now, I'm just using Himalaya Botanique whitening complete care toothpaste and I habe not found not even one tiny bit in my mouth. After maybe 5-6months( when I'm done with this tube my friend gave me) if throughout all this time I don't have that trust and believe I'll keep buying the quality good stuff (unless I'll have to deal with unexpected budgeting or something extraordinary like huracán hiring Puerto Rico again).
The best toothpaste here is definitely the Redmond. While glycerin isn't harmful to the body, it leaves a silky smooth coating on the teeth, preventing them from mineralizing.
Yessss thank you for making this vid I’m 22 years old and I feel the same way about fluoride. Honestly I have a great smile and keep up with cleaning my teeth. Ppl tell me I need fluoride to prevent cavities but I disagree. Not sure how old you are but when you switched to a non-fluoride toothpaste did you notice any differences? Long term maybe? I’m sure you don’t have major gum/teeth problems? Your insight is appreciated!! Also your vids 💯💯
Appreciate the recommendation. I got Earthpaste Wintergreen is my favorite flavor. Never realized how discussing soap was in toothpaste, but I cannot go back!
forget your dentist, he makes money the worse your teeth get. just keep doing your research like youre doing now. noone cares more about your health than you.

i think i will try hello dr brooners is a good choice but dont like that has aloe, iheve been using colgate for many years until now am very concern about flouride especually flouride is not good for thyroid gland
Green Beaver makes the best toothpaste. They are a Canadian company, but I am quite sure they ship to the US. They also make awesome sunscreen, soap, deodorant etc. I love their products. They are all very clean.
I always try to avoid anything that has artificial coloring in it. Many Mouthwashes and toothpastes have Yellow 6 or 5, blue1, red40 etc. Try oil pulling it’s helpful in fighting bacteria and great for oral health.
Not could be eye opening!! Bobby, very eye opening!! Thank you for sharing this awesome information. (I was using a dr. Teals lotion recently and realized my skin actually felt more dry? Flipped it over and found zea mays (corn) starch was like the 3rd ingredient 🤨) I thought that was a good brand but you have to look at ingredients!
Thank you sooooooo much for making a video like this. Pretty sure this was one of my requests on IG. Love to see your opinions on products like this and for the house!!
Love it. Thank you. Can you do a review on pet food / snacks? I know you don't have a pet of your own, but you have such a deep ingredient knowledge and so much common sense, I think your review will get many attention.
Hi Bobby! I am a dental hygienist. I wanted to pop in and give you my 2 cents on a couple of things. Sodium laurel sulfate is only a problem for a small part of the population. If you find your mouth is peeling after brushing your teeth, it is probably due to the SLS. Most people do not get this reaction and it is safe. Also, I would not recommend any toothpaste without fluoride. Fluoride remineralizes enamel that is in the beginning stage of a cavity. I find when many of my patients switch to a fluoride free toothpaste, their next check up is not so great. I love your videos, keep them coming!
My family have been using regular Colgate and flossing for years. We see our dentist twice a year for dental cleaning which is very important for removing plack. Both my adult (40ties) children are "filling free". I won't change my toothpaste but I have taken your advise, Bobby, on making many changes. Enjoying your videos and exploring new products..thank you!
I grew up using Crest but several years one of the toothpaste made by Crest caused that shedding on the inside of my lip so I no longer buy the brand. Apparently I've developed an allergic reaction to that sodium laurel sulfate ingredient once it hits a certain level in the toothpaste.
At the end of the day teeth have a lot to do with genetics. Both of my parents have a lot of cavities and don't eat poorly and so I inherited a lot of cavities (but also some of their good qualities too ;)). I have a friend who eats tons of sugar and bad foods and he's only had two cavities (he's already in his 30s). What you have to remember about Bobby is that he looks to avoid ingredients that may cause cancer, dementia etc. So the only question you have to ask yourself is why keep doing something that could potentially be dangerous when switching isn't so hard? There are tons of examples of "professionals" saying "the research shows" but at the end of the day I have one word for you: Zantac
Fluoride is the most electroreactive element in the Table of First Elements. It is very highly reactive and a neurotoxin destroying our brain cells. It has no business in people mouth. It is a persistent pollutant accumulating in the soil. It causes dental fluorosis - those ugly white discolorations in your teeth. It destroy s your bones making them brittle.
Bobby you rock!! I know this is an older video but I was looking into what toothpastes to buy because my husband and I will be hiking the AT next year, 2024! I have been making my own toothpaste for over a year now, along with all my hygiene and cleaning products and love it!! Figured it would be easier to just buy it for the trail tho. Also, I do oil pulling every morning with coconut oil for 15-20 min. It helps to heal those receding gums and is great for oral health/ bacteria in general! Love ALL your content Bobby, very much appreciated! ❤️❤️
Great video. Can you elaborate more on Xylitol. I been using it for a long time and it was suppose to be good for the good bacteria. Thank you for all the information you share with us. Great Job!
Check out Elementa. I get it at my health food store in OH. Water, Zylitol, natural flavor, cellulose gum, Calcium acetate, and nano silver. I guess it’s got some things you don’t care about but I am running, not walking, away from the other things you mentioned. Mostly I use various powder and essential oil products on my teeth. And Tea Tree Therapy mouth wash.
I love Dr. Bronners, I've been using it for a little over a year now. Not only is it a healthy brand but also a sustainable brand. Its a certified and organic trade brand and uses recycled plastic for their containers. Love it all around. Also, you can find all the different "flavors", I didn't want to refer to the peppermint, spearmint and other toothpaste as flavors, but I don't know the proper word as of right now, at TJ Maxx and Marshall's for a cheaper price. It only cost like $2.99 I believe at Marshall's and TJ Maxx stores
I used toothpaste without fluoride for 5 years and ended up with a bunch of cavities. These cavities I checked weren’t there to begin with but started during the time I was using non-fluoride toothpaste. Now the cavities may be caused and accelerated by non-toothpaste substance or personal habits, whatever it is I ended up with many all in a short time which is not typical for me. Just thought that I share this in case some of you may have similar problems like me
I'm curious if you've done any research on glycerin. What do you think? I had read that it coats the teeth hindering them from the absorption of helpful minerals.
Thanks for this info. The healthier toothpastes are too expensive. $17-20 bucks. Also what the difference between the children's toothpaste vs the adult toothpaste.....other than the flavor? Don't they do the same thing?
I had an issue for 3 or 4 years with chapped lips. Wouldn’t go away no matter what I did. Did some research and figured out it was from the SLS! It cleared up in a week. So if you constantly have chapped lips that could be why.
Hi,I'm a new subscriber, thank you for the honest review. I appreciated it. I just bought "Hello"toothpaste today. it was good to use it. Have a great day!
Bobby, I want a toothpaste WITH fluoride but without the other bad trash. My dentist gave me a prescription with a high fluoride content because fluoride helps harden teeth. I don’t swallow toothpaste so am not concerned about it. What clean toothpastes WITH fluoride are out there?
Hi Bobby and the Flav City family. Question. How well does your approved toothpastes do to preventing cavities? I like whitening properties, but I really want my toothpaste to do a good job of fighting cavities.
Paul Stevenson....invest in a good brush like Sonic Care by Phillip's. Do not move the brush around as you would a regular manual brush. Place the electric tb close to gum line and gently move it along. Open your mouth halfway to reach the back molars. Concentrate a bit longer behind your lower front incisors. Floss daily to prevent cavities between your teeth. I start on the very back molar of the right side and make my way to the left side; go inside from the left to the right. Do the top or bottom first. Make sure to clean your tongue w a tongue scraper and brush the inside of your cheeks and roof of your mouth. I use the regular brush for those. Sounds like a lot of work, but practice makes perfect in technique and speed.
@@mariadasilva1341 do what Maria said , doing that with only water is enough to clean your teeth , the orthodontist I worked for would always tell the patients you don’t need toothpaste to clean your teeth , a good toothbrush and proper technique will clean !!!
I use PowerSmile fluoride free toothpaste. It naturally whites your teeth with great ingredients. I have a tremendous phobia of dentists. I use a battery operated toothbrush. I finally went for a check up after 20 years. My teeth and gums are perfect. My gifts were fluoride toothpaste and small toothbrush. I use it to clean my taps!
I switched to non fluoride toothpaste last year and started noticing these white spots on my teeth.. when googled it, it said it’s because of not using fluoride !
Thank you for the information, you always have a grate videos. What do you think about activated charcoal toothpaste and Sensodyne toothpaste? Thank you.
Thank you Bobby for the video. It’s really helpful. Question, what’s the good fluoride toothpaste? I checked all the approved toothpastes on your app and non of them have fluoride!
I am a certified dental assistant. Making baking soda tooth paste can also be harmful to your teeth! Baking soda is way to abrasive to your enamel to use on a daily bases! Also, same goes for charcoal powder! Y’all can have your own opinions of fluoride. It is my job to explain the benefits to my patients. And some people really do need different types of fluorides. Fluoride in toothpaste does not go into you systemically unless you swallow it. And if you rinse after you brush with a fluoride toothpaste you are not getting enough (really none) of the benefits or harms of fluoride at all!
@@bunniesandroses499 actually, there are lots of biological dentists and they do not believe fluoride is necessary in toothpastes. It is a known neurotoxin. Now do I think it is bad in a toothpaste? Not necessarily, if it isnt swallowed, but there is a reason they don't recommend toddlers use it in their toothpaste...because it is toxic if swallowed.
Bunnies and Roses you’re missing the point. But ok. And yes many great dentist listen to the patients concerns and help them better their oral health in a way they’re comfortable.NOT ALL DENTISTS ARE BAD. Just wanted to let you know that Burt’s Bees has toothpaste without SLS, Triclosan and Parabens. No artificial flavours and sweetners. No preservatives and Blue, Red and Yellow dyes. No plastic microbeads.
Love it
It has carrageenan tho
Burt’s bees sold out and they’re products are not natural at all!
Good to know, thanks
My functional medicine doctor suggests Revitin (children can swallow it and it's OK) and Xyli-White. My husband and I LOVE those. Revitin is rather expensive so we alternate with the Xyli-White.
You have to have 2 things fluoride and taste. If it tastes better you’ll brush longer and fluoride will cause enamel strength.
I've been using Redmond Lemon Earthpaste for several years now and love it! No flouride, SLS, colors, etc.
But that cancer warning is kinda scary
I make my own toothpaste coconut oil, baking soda & xylitol.
Myrette Grano How do you make it?. Where can I get the xylitol?. Thank you.
Can you give your recipe please I have all those ingredients thanks
marye I bought my Xylitol at vitamin shoppe
2 tablespoon of baking soda,2 tablespoon of coconut oil and just a little bit of xylitol because you don’t want your toothpaste to taste too sweet
Cheers! Ron

Please Bobby, can you talk about the water filter system for the whole house? Thank you 🙏 🥰
reverse osmosis and alkaline...we only have fr the sink, not the whole house!

@Spiral Flash What cancer warning is in Redmond's?

Mercola always sells u something lol
Hey Bobby I was wondering about the ingredients that protect enamel, right cavities, etc and simply protect the health of the teeth along with whitening. Can this be addressed somehow? It seems the ingredients are natural and good but didn’t address or include any tooth health or gum health benefits. Just curious. Thank you for these videos, they’re always informative.
@@SunshineCat24 pulling oil has no effects. Using floss is more beneficial
@@barbarak2836 thanks. I’ll have to look into it.
Fluoride. Fluoride is the best at protecting your teeth. The amount that you'd get from it (brushing twice a day) is so incredibly minuscule that there won't be any "side effects."
@@Legolas2 actually hydroxyapatite is better than fluoride. It actually remineralizes the enamel and that’s what 90° of teeth is made out of
Thank you for this.
Thank you.
Just ordered myself 3 of Earthpaste tubes. Youre amazing Bobby! Please keep doing what you are doing😩👏🏽

Thank you Bobby and Art. Can you do a video on mouthwash? So appreciate your work.
The redmond earthpaste actually has trace amounts of flouride. So our teeth still get a little natural flouride, but isn't a potentially toxic amount. The cinnamon one is my favorite one, too. I don't really like the other flavors.
I love that stuff! I haven't tried most of the flavors, but I love the lemon one.

Those same dentists recommend the bad toothpastes with the nasty scrubbing agents.

I have been using this toothpaste for awhile without anymore problems.
oh thats what the white sticky gooey stuff that comes off, i had that happening with mouthwash. damn it, it was peeling the lining...
I don’t know why he didn’t include this brand. It is a major kind in my Costco.
Good. Now look for carrageenan in your toothpaste. It's bad & can cause cancer.
It was causing me bad dry mouth.
Redmond makes amazing things!!!! We love their stuff.
Where do you buy it?
Thanks for the information, it vas very helpful.
What about the auromere Ayurvedic toothpaste? Do you recommend that one? Thanks 🙏🏼
This was great Bobby, thank you! Would you be able to do one on mouthwashes?
Use coconut oil instead
I like the way you respond to your baby when she interrupts the video! Hey she is part of the program!
I like how far you have come with your Channel and life, Bobby. But I miss these days. I started watching when Dessi was pregnant with Rose Honey! 🥰🥰
Thank you for this video Bobby! There is always something new to learn & I love your honest opinions!!
Appreciate the recommendation. I got Earthpaste Wintergreen is my favorite flavor. Never realized how discussing soap was in toothpaste, but I cannot go back!
I wish you would've included effects on enamel and enamel repairing options like Pronamel
Ask your dentist:)

Green Beaver makes the best toothpaste. They are a Canadian company, but I am quite sure they ship to the US. They also make awesome sunscreen, soap, deodorant etc. I love their products. They are all very clean.
What toothpaste do you recommend for sensitive teeth Bobby? My teeth are very sensitive to cold.
Boka
I always try to avoid anything that has artificial coloring in it. Many Mouthwashes and toothpastes have Yellow 6 or 5, blue1, red40 etc. Try oil pulling it’s helpful in fighting bacteria and great for oral health.
Since you reviewed toothpaste, could you compare the healthiness of Crystal Deodorants vs. Deodorants vs. Antiperspirant products?

Great information! Thank you! What toothpaste would you recommend?
Great Job!
It's good for you but it can make you gassy
Check out Elementa. I get it at my health food store in OH. Water, Zylitol, natural flavor, cellulose gum, Calcium acetate, and nano silver. I guess it’s got some things you don’t care about but I am running, not walking, away from the other things you mentioned. Mostly I use various powder and essential oil products on my teeth. And Tea Tree Therapy mouth wash.
All the dentists and dental students shaking their heads at this vid 😭😭😭 keep the fluoride!!
Marshalls and TJ Maxx does have a good selection of natural toothpastes! Can't wait to shop there again once they open up!
You always have wonderful content btw!!💕
I used toothpaste without fluoride for 5 years and ended up with a bunch of cavities. These cavities I checked weren’t there to begin with but started during the time I was using non-fluoride toothpaste. Now the cavities may be caused and accelerated by non-toothpaste substance or personal habits, whatever it is I ended up with many all in a short time which is not typical for me. Just thought that I share this in case some of you may have similar problems like me
I use fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash..no cavities ever
Yes I have the same problem and no matter what it’s always chapped which toothpaste would you recommend?
what is sls?

I just picked up Dessert essence bobby approved toothpaste today. My wife thinks im crazy replacing everything with more quality bobby approved stuff😊

@Sebrinah Taylor- you are right, a dentist would not agree with any toothpaste made without fluoride
