Do You Know What's In Your Toothpaste - The BEST(And Worst) Toothpaste To Buy!

  • You have been asking for a toothpaste review, so here you go! If you thought some of they stuff they put in food in bad, I would say that toothpastes and cosmetics is even worse! You really want to know what you put in your mouth 2-3 times daily, bc the mouth is very absorbent and can go directly to your bloodstream. Don't be fooled by "natural" or premium names, you have to look at the ingredients and avoid the harsh chemicals. Mad love..Bobby, Dessi, Rose, and Art! XOXO

You can also use coconut oil for toothpaste. It's anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial. Your teeth will never feel cleaner. It's also cheaper than toothpaste. After brushing, you can also do oil pulling by swishing a teaspoon of coconut oil for several minutes. It pulls toxins from your body. It's also a great moisturizer as well as a narural deodorant. There's at least a hundred uses for coconut oil.

They absolutely suck in my opinion. You can't just brush something on your teeth to have it repair them. Lots of pain with them. I was able to reduce my pain with Colgate total(clean mint standard version, not whitening and not deep clean) but that has Endocrine disrupters in it so I'm trying to do primarily baking soda and water at the moment. Total kills the bacteria that causes pain but it disrupts your entire digestion I suspect with prolonged use or even on the first use because it changes the bacteria state in your mouth, some of these bacterias are meant to be there which is not the mindset that I had back in the day when I first switched to total.

I just discovered this video ( a year after you posted). This is GREAT information! I checked out the hidden ingredients in my toothpaste prescribed by my dentist. It is called Prevident, and is used to treat tooth sensitivity. The ingredients were hidden in a folded part of the packaging taped to the toothpaste bottle. There I discovered that not only does it have all the ingredients you listed as not good, but it also has a warning that it is carcinogenic! I have been using this stuff for years! So, it went into the trash, and I have ordered some of the toothpaste you recommend. Thank you so much for your educational videos, as well as all the fun ones with Rosie!

2:51 Yes, carrageenan is likely problematic for a subset of people with certain chronic inflammatory digestive issues, but otherwise, for the vast majority of people, it should not cause these problems. WOW! Thanks Bobby for all your priceless help, on the Tom's Toothpaste, coupla months ago I began seeing the comercials here on UA-cam and looking for it here, in healthfood stores, in supermarkets here but found it at the HEB supermarket, although I didn't buy it, it cost 99 pesos(about 4usd)and sticking with a mexican brand Tea Garden Pasta de Dientes Natural, clean ingredients similar to Redmond's and Dr. Bronners and it states in the package, absolutely no aggressive chemicals like: Petrolatum, Lauril Sulfato de Sodio, Parabenos, Ftalatos y Fluoruro. Compare Tea Garden's price of $70 for a 115 ml.tube to the Tom's at $99.00, and while Tom's may be bigger in size, sticking to Tea Garden. Thanks Man, greetings to DessiSlava, Rose, Uncle Art and you! :)

The mirror test Amway used to help demonstrate a difference between toothpastes is helpful. This step will show the abrasiveness of the brand's toothpaste. Some of the brand's are excessively abrasive in my opinion. Demonstration: put about half inch piece of toothpaste on mirror. Take toothbrush of choice. Brush toothpaste back and forth about twenty times with equal pressure applied to each brands demo. No water applied for easier spreading. Rinse off toothpaste to reveal the brand's abrasiveness. Tradition paste not gel style usually are at the top of the abrasive choices. Crest used to be the most abrasive paste brand.

I used toothpaste without fluoride for 5 years and ended up with a bunch of cavities. These cavities I checked weren’t there to begin with but started during the time I was using non-fluoride toothpaste. Now the cavities may be caused and accelerated by non-toothpaste substance or personal habits, whatever it is I ended up with many all in a short time which is not typical for me. Just thought that I share this in case some of you may have similar problems like me

Thank you for your wonderful blog 👏🏼👏🏼
I’m from Australia. We’ve been using Grants toothpaste for years on the advice of my naturopath. We also have a filter on our taps and shower.
My 13 year old daughters teeth were chalking near her gums and needed filling. The dentist asked was I using a toothpaste with no fluoride, to which I answered yes. The dentist understood my concern with fluoride but explained how our teeth do need it and to just take care in not swallowing the toothpaste (which we don’t do anyway)
So now we use a healthy toothpaste with added fluoride from a Company called Moo Goo.
They have one with fluoride also. 😁

I tried toothpaste without fluoride for 6 months, next checkup did not go as well as they usually had been, my dentist said it is great to avoid the colors , dyes and chemicals, but that fluoride is a must ingredient for healthy teeth, so I won't use the non-fluoride ones anymore... Just my 2 cents.

If you research it well You’ll find out that Fluorides are poison but just if you swallow a spoon full of it. I don’t know anyone who swallows a whole spoon of tooth paste. Only the children’s tooth paste contains a very limited amount of fluorides because they are more likely to swallow it. What I think you should avoid is stuff like baking soda because it acts like sand paper on your teeth which makes it great to whiten your teeth but you actually just damage it on the long run.

Great video. I have sarcoidosis (an autoimmune disease) and they attribute Sarcoid flair-ups as an allergic reaction to silica and unfortunately it’s in every toothpaste you showed except for one. And the one it wasn’t in - the main ingredient is clay and clay contains high levels of silica. So sarcoidosis patients need to be very careful what they even brush their teeth with. I have found only 2 toothpastes which I can trust. But if you aren’t allergic to silica these toothpastes shown are great. Thanks again!

Some months ago I noticed I was finding particles inside my mouth that I could not explain. It was like the inside of my cheeks were peeling off. I did some research and found out exactly what is addressed in this video and that is that sodium lauryl sulfate causes this peeling inside your mouth!
I looked and looked for a toothpaste without this chemical and finally found that Sensodyne Pronamel with gentle whitening does not contain it.
I have been using this toothpaste for awhile without anymore problems.
