Thanks for this video . Is there some more about the sample Management and Kits organzing in your masterclass course ? Cant really figure that out when i was Reading the Manual. Nice day
Really nice (and super nerdy😉) way of working with samples. Something good to do when i'm not in the mood to make a tune! I was surpised you weren't planning to fill out the newly expanded sample bank and have a default project over the on the fly approach.
Nice tips, thanks! I'd love to see a video about presets and how to use with them using the +Drive, preset pool and the new preset trig mode if you're open for suggestions. Perhaps cover kits aswell while you're at it 😀.
cool method! thanks for sharing :) I tried to make the wave of the sample touch the line in pro q3 (with your tilt settings) then I would have to lower 24db on a kickdrum for example. Isn’t that maybe too low? As far as I know low volume imports also reduce the resolution. Wouldn’t it be better to take the volume of the dtii stock sounds as reference and adjust the volume of my own samples to that? I checked and the DTII factory sounds touch the line in pro q3 with the range set at 90
I want to get the sample packs optimized for the digi2. Drum samples vol.1 is clearly plug and play, but which others are likewise? Also I want to get the Digitakt II Mastery Course, but I'm curios what will part 2 be about? Thanks!
As Digitakt 2 only just came out I haven’t had chance to create any Digitakt 2 specific sample and preset packs yet. I have been mainly concentrating on the course. Check out my Syntakt and Hydrasynth course pages on the site, Digitakt series will kinda take some inspiration from previous offerings, but I want to improve massively on delivery. I did a survey a few months ago and many folks wanted more genre specific content, start to finish lessons and how to perform etc with other machines. If your on my mailing list I will send out info soon as I’ve planned the next products to offer :)
You're saying that not even Drum samples volume 1 are not for DT2? Also, with the part 2 of the course, when will it be out? Would there be a discount for those who buy the part one? Thanks!
Samples are formatted to work with both dt1 and dt2, they are just samples so they can be loaded into any sampler. What I meant was they don’t contain preset data specifically for DT1 or DT2. Part two hopefully within next few months and yes I often send a discount to current students for upgrades :)
Hi James, these are great tips. Thank you! I was wondering, did you find an automated way to sort the different instruments? And the keys of them were manually added in the file name, or there is a tool to automate that?
Hi James ! Super vidéo , just , I would like to know how is it possible to create a folder in recorded sample sections and add news recorded sample inside. I know how to create a folder , how to create a sample recorded but not how to add it into a folder 😂
the renaming feature you described is now part of MACOS Sonoma. Its buit in.
Ah really? That’s good to know, I just updated finally to Sonoma

I cover all of these things and a lot more in the full course :) Link available in video description 🙏

I boost everything up before export to around -3db for kicks

This is what I don't get. What kind of data can a .wav file have, that is specific for a sampler?
Except from being mono or stereo...
Very helpful, thanks!

Think I was using mixed in Key and sometimes manually figuring out keys of kicks

How long does it take you to process samples in advance?
Il be honest it took me a couple of weeks to do all the samples I organised back then!! 🤣 Was worth it
