📹 About This Video 📹
This was filmed a few weeks ago and is one of two sessions where I create some low slung distorted chuggy punk techno with acid licks! We go 4/4 for once and slow down the bpm :) This one will be full of tips and tricks that you can take away to use in your own productions as we utilise both hardware and software.
Gear Used: Elektrons [Digitakt 2, Syntakt & Octatrack], MAM MB33, Dreadbox Typhon, Midi Fighter Twister, Old Blood Noise Endeavours Expression Sliders, Pirate Midi Bridge 6, Motu 16a and Ableton Live 12.

Track 5 on DT2 toward the end. 😊
Thanks!
Watched all through. Excellent and very well worth it.
Thanks mate, part two is recorded I just need to edit and publish it
Nice one man 👌nice to see you really perform the tracks. And cool how all the synth parts really work together. What’s the reason for turning the 5 step typhoon sequence into a 2 bar one?
Something to do with pattern switching? How do you do that, what’s your master pattern switcher and how do you get the other boxes to follow in sync switching pattern all at the same time?
I think I did it to allow the possibility for a longer more complex sequence and also it’s easier to edit the sequence on the Digitakt with the cc parameter locks as well. In this case it may also of been to contain it in 2 bats instead of it rotating constantly.
Master pattern switcher is actually the Bridge 6 by pirate midi, which tells the Octatrack to change pattern and then the Octatrack sends program changes to other elektrons, Digitakt changes the presets on synths.
14:01-14:03 imo. /cheers

Yeah, distortion is key 🤩🙌! I love it on beats. The sound of the drums reminds me of „On Craft (SFT Mix)“ by Henning Baer.
Thanks mate! Il check that track 🙏 Yeah distortion is the sauce!
Let's gooooo 🔥🔥🔥 🤘
🙏
Nice one.
Thanks for watching!
nice one! So many vids im seeing lately the Syntakt is just not get used anymore, feels like a bit of redundant box these days, especially if you get a Digitakt 2
It’s just cause it’s the new shiny thing, I’ve made a conscious effort to focus on the Digitakt 2 in these videos to squeeze the juice out of it. Syntakt is stuck on the live pedalboard and I’m still writing and performing with it. Ones a sampler and the other is an analog/digital synthesiser/drum machine. They compliment each other very well :)
