i had one just like it- i took the engine- scraped it- put an engine on it from 1982 - runs great--- did not try to fix the original engine

People just do not take care of their equipment eh? Just picked up a Hahn Eclipse 1964 self propelled mower aluminium deck $10 and full service runs better than anything sold today. What is the chance you have a Kohler 18hp SV540-3232 engine in running condition for sale? Do not want to get into new but may have to do it to get a Kubota T1880 up and running again this engine not worth rebuilding.

We're living in a throw away society and that's how the manufacturer's like it. Buy new every few years keeps them in business. They definitely don't build them like they used to. Unfortunately, I don't have a Kohler 18HP. I'll keep my eyes peeled and let you know if I come across anything. Cheers Wayne.
