SHERIFF Sick For Weeks and UNABLE To Work or Mow His Lawn

- We found this overgrown lawn with a sheriff's car in the driveway. We knocked on the door and asked if he needed some help. He accepted and we got to work. We have been getting alot of rain and he was unable to work or do anything for weeks because he was sick. The grass was super tall and the backyard hadn't been touched in awhile.

Before we all jump to conclusions and judge this Sheriff for "years of neglect of his yard" please remember that we don't know what he's been going through in his life. Death of a loved one, illness, mental heath issues can be some of the reasons people let go of everything else so they can focus on themselves. Please be kind, a lot of people are struggling these days and we have no idea why it got to the way it is but luckily there are many people like this man willing to help someone fix that. (without any judgement) Thanks for helping this man out!
Truth!
Kind of you to help. Looks nice! ♥️👍
If all this you saying is going on
he differently don't need to be working with the public carrying a weapon he might flip out at any given time all eyes 👀 😏 😉 😳 🤔needs to be on him for good measure 😉 don't you think 🤔 😉
@@mzznewyork5406 What they are saying is, there are more important things that might be going on in his life, than dealing with a yard. I've been there. My husband had major surgery in the middle of summer a few years back. I wasn't able to go outside and deal with the yard except for mowing it maybe once a month. I am still trying to dig my Irises out of the over growth of grass that invaded their bed, and it's taken three years to get my climbing rose to behave itself. Sometimes, things get put on the back burner, because there are more important things to deal with. He did say that the Deputy had been ill for several weeks, and depending upon the area he lives, its amazing how some things can grow out of control in a short period of time. If he's been off even four weeks, and it rained, and by judging by the moisture in that grass it has been raining, grass and weeds can grow like crazy in a short time. We cut our lawn, and it rained 4 inches in two weeks. The grass grew nearly six inches before it was dry enough to cut again.
Not sure where he lives but that might be only few weeks without cutting in Alabama been so much rain I've been having to cut two 2⃣ to 3⃣ times a month every 2⃣ weeks and trim and edge in between most of my yard is in back but you get my point
after seeing back yard that's a little bit more than not cutting few weeks to month
That is the sheriff’s house!!!!! Broken unusable furniture, disgusting mattresses, trash everywhere, broken window, empty utility box, years of overgrowth along fence line, uncut grass, unkept front porch and lawn. In my neighborhood, that would be a squatter’s house. Shame on the sheriff. That is not just weeks of mess!!! And shame on his community for not stepping up and helping him out, if in fact, he really does live there. Top Notch, you really are a professional, compassionate and kind landscaper. You did your best to transform this property. I am sure the neighbors are grateful.
Sheriff or not, this house, yard and trash was absolutely shameful. Maybe the sheriff is sick but this didn’t just happen in a matter of weeks.
Brian, thank you for your compassionate heart and hard work.
@nmp6338 "I would like to associate myself with the comments made by nmp" a SHERIFF's HOUSE?!?!?!?!!? smh no words
I personally think him and his wife aren’t get along. Material things. Looks like she got her new kitchen cabinets, and the Land Rover says it all.
What city is this in?
Ditto on everything you said. This had to be at least a year.
It looks to me that you did work for them that they had not done for themselves in the past. You are a good man.
Sorry to hear he was sick for weeks, but the yard looks like it’s been neglected for a few years! Nice job hope he gets better
Right. Sometimes it's a slow decline over the years and then finally a straw that breaks the camels back, like not being able to even go to work. Nice that he got some help. Hopefully he's on the mend now.
Wooh, that is way more than a couple weeks growth. Good job helping them out!!
The Sheriff must be relieved that all of this was done. Looks fantastic.
No...I don't think the "sheriff" gives a hoot!
It doesn't matter what profession you are in, some people just do not care what their houses and yards look like. What a shame. You're a good man, Brian, for doing this.
Lots of grass, lots of rubbish! Why don’t people just take their detritus to the rubbish tip instead of garnering it? Marks the place look trashy. Sheriff or poor man, it’s up to every individual to keep their ppty tidy. You have done an amazing job, front came up looking lovely, backyard was a nightmare. Good on you for persevering, thank you, God Bless from Australia 🇦🇺🙏❤️🤗
Great job, Brian.
Cynthia, I was thinking the same thing, so many don't take pride in their homes, that place didn't get that way in a few weeks...smh
The cars in the driveway are worth more than his house, and then to say he's a sheriff and can't afford a lawn service is a disgrace. City council should look into this and find out what's going on ..
@cfshi62 also how is he not getting fined for this disaster yet others are.
This looks like a lot more than a few weeks over growth.Bless this young man for cleaning it up.
Unbelievable that none of his neighbors helped.
Fantastic that you did Brian ❤ And removing the clippings makes it look even better
or the young woman who lives in the house
Sadly that seems to be a thing of the past, yet many times they are the first to complain or worse yet turn them into the city. I’ll never understand it , I wasn’t brought up that way..
Maybe the sheriff is a bad guy & the neighbors know it. Just maybe. We don't know him or his image in town.
@@marie_84 No maybe about it.
😂looks like the neighbor needs theirs done also. Why do they lie about how long it's been since they took care of it. You can see it's been longer then a few weeks. Back doesn't look like it's been done in years.
That sheriff had let his yard go longer than a "few weeks." Thank you for doing the work & letting us see another good video from you.
Absolutely ‼️‼️‼️‼️
When we do things out of the kindness of our hearts, we get rewarded. Keep doing what you’re doing, your work is appreciated.
Depending on where you live, and how much rain you get, it doesn't take long for growth to take over. Thank you for helping out law enforcement, most are overworked and underpaid.
Exactly ! ❤🇺🇸🇺🇸
I will be 66 next month and I live with my 41 year old son and 20 year old grand son. We have a full acre of land, lots of flowering trees and lots of bushes. We get a lot of rain and everything is overgrown now because of my son and grandson’s work schedule. I have had to ask my neighbor’s grandson to assist me in getting my yard and grass cut.
You did a wonderful job in assisting this officer and his family with their yard. Thank you for making a difference in someone else’s life.
Sharon here... lol, I think the Sheriff has not cut the yard in more than three weeks! A lot of trash as well. Good samaritan you are for sure. Bless you Brian and btw, you are doing well on the weight loss program! Another great job! 👍☺❤
Sharon, I agree, Brian is a Good Samaritan and doing very well on the weight loss program. I was going to ask if you’re still doing the MMA, Brian. Great job. Thank you! 💪🏼🙏🏼
Amazing act of kindness. Many blessings to you for helping this homeowner out!!
Nice of you to do this yard for him. I feel bad for the negative comments on here. Never know what’s going on in the lives of these people. You did good! - watching from Lake Wales, Florida

Beautiful job, Brian! The “Sheriff” needs to get rid of all the junk in his backyard! Old mattresses need to go!
Did you say the Sheriff was sick for weeks or years ?? Lots of hard work in the heat. I know for sure it will look fantastic., after all , you are “TOP NOTCH” !!!
It says weeks , but it doesn’t take long for weeds to get away from us .
I agree. Old furniture outside, trashy looking porch. I'd hate to live next door to this mess.

This house, this yard, the whole story-it makes me sad. It looks to me as if this family has given up. But you are a blessing to them and made a huge difference. Maybe they will take heart from your incredible generosity and their health will improve along with their will to keep going. You are the instrument of compassion here that may make the difference for them. Blessings to you, and Thank you.
Glad you helped this officer, my husband is a retired Captain from our local Sheriff Department. I’ve been watching your channel for a few years
Thank you for helping out this sheriff. They do so much for us, and we seldom show our appreciation.
Cuss were not required to as there job is just that a job to earn a paycheck and pay their bills and hire someone to do the job for the,
Brian, the yard looks completely different now. You have a heart of gold!
He's getting paid.
He hasent seen that back yard in years...thank you for your hard work...❤❤❤😊
I can tell you're beat Brian. You work so hard for people; I hope they appreciate it. It looks so much better than it did. Thank you for what you do.
Thank you so much for helping this officer while he is not well . I’m sure he appreciated your help. And I’m praying for his full recovery ❤
Cops a liar
@@lmg1953 do you personally know him?
Really appreciate you helping here. When a First Responder has a choice between work or chores, the chores have to go. I think today's stresses are so increased that we may need to consider that all First Responders need to be given extra help or a kind word if possible. Firemen, nurses, doctors, lawmen, etc. The statistics have been appearing that a person with a yard in disarray or the interior backlogged are somehow in overwhelm. They are no different. Oh, have noted that people learning to do yard work need to learn sounds...the sound of the mower grabbing a wrong item, etc. so appreciate you thought to include the sound of the Trimmer running out of gas. 10:04, the front lawn is become sharp. You are definitely repairing "stuck" cycles as you go. A good find in recovering the back patio. You were where you needed to be. Really pleased this place had a return of use, view, space and the neighborhood got a boost as well. You did great work.
As a Police Officer, your yard should be one of the nicest in the neighborhood, no excuses. I was one for 27 1/2 years and it was a department policy. There was always another officer willing to help if you couldn't. The back looked like years of neglect , whoaaaaaaaaaaa. You made a world of difference.............
I was thinking the same thing. So what does that say about him? 🤔
@@NancyJo-dr6mj. He could be under major stress or even have long covid or simalar, we just don’t know. He may be embarrassed to ask for help from his work mates….he has help now, he might wish he wasn’t even on here now.
@@user-lj9cq9pl4k so true! Thanks for reminding me to be kind and show a little empathy. 💕🤗
Yes but most places fine you for tall grass. So the months of over growth he could have paid for lawn care or asked for help. Looks bad on the department seeing that vehicle to that yard.
The dept overlooked it No fines …….you would think a few of the newbies would volunteer….
I thank God for our boys in blue, praying they stay safe. Thank God also for the Brian’s of the world who give up their time to help those who need it. Thanks Brian, you’re appreciated
You did a much needed task to make this officers yard more livable. Hopefully all your hard work will not be wasted and the homeowners can maintain and further clean things up. Your a good man for taking on such a job.
You deserve a medal of honor for what you do God Bless you.
Glad you could help him out. We all have needs and help sometimes in our lives and thank goodness for you ❤️
Well, you made that overgrown lawn respectable again.
Brian thank you for going the extra mile and removing the brush pile.
Only time Brian ever went an extra mile was goin to Arby’s or something 🤣
Thanks for cleaning it up for the neighborhood, cuz honestly homeowner sick or not doesn’t care or it never would have gotten to that point. That has been years of accumulation of junk in the yard.
I agree 100%! They (he) should be ashamed to not be out there helping clean up the mess that he let happen! JMO
Awesome job, Brian!🙏🏼❤️

Terrific transformation Brian. You never know what others are dealing with in life. Best not to judge others!
Great job Brian! I had to laugh because another yard guy I watch uses his feet to move clippings!!! You are the only two I have seen do that. I bet the sheriff was blessed by all that you did, especially after being sick a few weeks. Good job removing clippings. Just an overall great job. ❤❤
Esto hace mucho tiempo que está así
The sheriff was always more concerned about the people being safe than his house. That’s a wonderful sheriff. I’m so sorry he is ill. Hope he gets better soon
I love your videos, you do a perfect job, walk the extra mile. I was also a gardener, but to old for it now. I am 85yrs, from South Africa. Thank you. God bless. Enjoy a blessed weakend
This is about two years of growth, and the sheriff has not done anything about the yard. That is great that you took care of the yard and it looks much better. I hope he can haul off all the junk around the house .shame on you sheriff.
So happy your helping out our overworked officers.
Overworked? Maybe where you are, not everywhere and certainly not where I live! His sheriff buddies should have helped him. That was way more then a few weeks of growth. I think we have a lazy sheriff and maybe a lazy sheriff's wife! Women can push lawnmowers.
They definitely Are over worked and not appreciated by to many! Very sad

Brian what a great job (as usual of course!) Great idea using tarps to move the clippings to your truck but be careful not to make them too heavy and put a strain on your body! And don't fret about the pile of branches--let the homeowner hire someone with a wood chipper to take care of that. You certainly went above and beyond already! Be safe!

It's wonderful that you are doing this. I don't understand why his deputies wouldn't have chipped in and had this already done.
If the sheriff didn’t have the money to hire someone to mow for him, the deputies probably didn’t either. Of course, he may not be that likable. You don’t know who your friends are until something like this happens.

I know, but it's difficult
My family sadly do not know our neighbors anymore. The ones that were around many years ago are all moved away, and many new people came in over the years. No one really talks to each other that I can see. I would like everyone to be in each other's lives more, that might be nice, depending on circumstances. I find most people online say they have no community and less socializing in their neighborhoods.
