Yet he cant afford to pay his co-hosts a retainer for having to live and work in LA to be apart of the podcast, or even give George's side podcast, PRIME sponsorship, which meant he had to go to a competitor to get a brand deal. Logan acted put out that he got a deal when he couldnt be bothered to ask his "friend" if he wanted to be a sponsor, but just expected him to show off PRIME for free advertisement

Maybe this is too charitable of a take but considering George didn't get paid for the first month and a half, if you divide the $317,084.71 by the 3 years that he worked there, he made about $8,500 (more or less). So MAYBE that's closer to what he meant by $5k a month... idk
This is what doesnt add up for me. All the friend issues i 100% get but the money is where its odd. 5k a month is low for whats expected of them to make (way more than im making though), but its not the same as "i wasnt getting paid". Its still 60k a year. And if by "i spent 10k a month to be on the show" he actually meant that he was spending 10k in total just in his life (which is so different) it makes no sense to me why hed bring it up. Paying 10k a month to be on the show i can only really agree with if its the cost of his flights and hotels for the show. But if hes including people he pays for his show seperately, paying rent somewhere, helping out family/friends, those are unrelated to the show and not a "cost of being on the show". I think he's mad at Mike and Logan and not Bobby Lee because people accept Bobby Lee has a screw loose and has no boundaries (not saying thats right) but Logan and Mike egged him on and didn't give George an out. I think people view Bobby as a puppy. When your friends give your puppy the blanket your beloved grandma knit for you and the puppy rips it apart, you don't get mad at the puppy. You get mad your friends. People dont view someone as agency so dont hold him responsible for his actions.
Also I think a big part of the reason he isn’t mad at Bobby lee is because it’s hard to be mad about it and without accepting having been a victim of SA by a guy who is/was a friend and I don’t think he wants to accept that. Whereas I’m not mad but it was a really awful joke, avoids the issue.

35:21 had a similar situation happen to me. during covid, CEO had a crypto mining side-hustle he had some of us do some work for him on. one day at lunch, after having a significant amount of the setup running for a short while, he laughs at his phone and shows us how much the system had gotten him and it was like a quarter my salary. i had been renting from his family and he was instrumental in convincing them to raise my rent. felt like i had swallowed a rock.

This was a few hours ago, and this is all the context I can give. However this may need a follow up video when the podcast is released as I can imagine it will clear up a lot of things, especially about the ‘sexual assault’ as it clearly isn’t serious as it seems
It is worth noting that especially with SA between guys it’s being done as a ‘joke’ (vs for person doing it’s gratification) there is a tendency to forgive it. Because of a lot of stuff like it being ‘just a joke get over it’ and wider societal factors that encourage minimising it. (You see similar with SA within relationships) However that doesn’t mean what happened was remotely okay, that it wasn’t a seriously bad thing to have been done or that it wasn’t SA. Whilst it’s very fortunate george appears to not carry trauma from that event it’s still valid for his audience and others to still not want to support a guy who thinks doing sexual stuff without consent for any reason is okay.

Still an insane amount of money for me but if what he says abt the expenses is true and he was just eating money for a year and a half, that'd be a pretty garbage thing to do to your, "best friend." In this context the 5k number also isn't egregious, but he definitely worded it poorly and made the financial situation seem more dramatic than it may have been, which is just a bad look for his credibility. Then he paid him and 2 other friends hush money and sign NDA’s. Idk if this is 100% true, but I think Mike threatened him behind the scenes with the NDA cuz he went silent after that. After seeing what WASN'T cut from that podcast, *IDGAF* about *_ANYTHING_* Mike or Logan have to say. If _THAT_ is what they *_left in_* then what was cut *_out_* of that podcast must be horrid, if that was the 'tame stuff'! There's no universe in which I would allow anyone - guest or not - to treat someone I call my friend like that in front of me. Maybe this is too charitable of a take but considering George didn't get paid for the first month and a half, if you divide the $317,084.71 by the 3 years that he worked there, he made about $8,500 (more or less). So MAYBE that's closer to what he meant by $5k a month... idk

This is what doesnt add up for me. All the friend issues i 100% get but the money is where its odd. 5k a month is low for whats expected of them to make (way more than im making though), but its not the same as "i wasnt getting paid". Its still 60k a year.
And if by "i spent 10k a month to be on the show" he actually meant that he was spending 10k in total just in his life (which is so different) it makes no sense to me why hed bring it up.
Paying 10k a month to be on the show i can only really agree with if its the cost of his flights and hotels for the show. But if hes including people he pays for his show seperately, paying rent somewhere, helping out family/friends, those are unrelated to the show and not a "cost of being on the show". I think he's mad at Mike and Logan and not Bobby Lee because people accept Bobby Lee has a screw loose and has no boundaries (not saying thats right) but Logan and Mike egged him on and didn't give George an out. I think people view Bobby as a puppy. When your friends give your puppy the blanket your beloved grandma knit for you and the puppy rips it apart, you don't get mad at the puppy. You get mad your friends. People dont view someone as agency so dont hold him responsible for his actions.
Also I think a big part of the reason he isn’t mad at Bobby lee is because it’s hard to be mad about it and without accepting having been a victim of SA by a guy who is/was a friend and I don’t think he wants to accept that.

This was a few hours ago, and this is all the context I can give. However this may need a follow up video when the podcast is released as I can imagine it will clear up a lot of things, especially about the ‘sexual assault’ as it clearly isn’t serious as it seems

It is worth noting that especially with SA between guys it’s being done as a ‘joke’ (vs for person doing it’s gratification) there is a tendency to forgive it. Because of a lot of stuff like it being ‘just a joke get over it’ and wider societal factors that encourage minimising it. (You see similar with SA within relationships)
However that doesn’t mean what happened was remotely okay, that it wasn’t a seriously bad thing to have been done or that it wasn’t SA. Whilst it’s very fortunate george appears to not carry trauma from that event it’s still valid for his audience and others to still not want to support a guy who thinks doing sexual stuff without consent for any reason is okay.
