I brought this one about a week ago and it works a dream, no more damp bedding at 5am, no more streaming windows on any of my 3 bed hoise windows, my carpenter and floors feel warm and dry, I got the 25ltr one and I run it alday, it does cost about 13p pet hour but it doesn't run constant it does turn on and off, mine is set to turn off at 55 which is the recommendation in the booklet for a 3 bed home, it's a game changer and well worth the £300 I paid for it so I highly recommend it 🥰🥰 xxxxxxxxxxxxx

@Simple_Bharati absolutely agreed, I was abit worried about the running costs but it hasn't been too bad, considering the extra painting and decorating and new carpets and blinds I have to buy every year that the damp ruins, I can only hope the cost to run it is still cheaper than the damp repair bill 😀 😊 xxxxxxxxxxxxx

@Aham279 it feels like it does and my heating bills have been cheaper since I've had it, it don't cost too much to run so I'm saving both heating costs and redecorating costs, I definitely recommend one my lovely xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm getting the most out of mine now. I got the 25litre because both the 25 & 20 are same size in casing but juse heavier more powerful and more refrigerant in the 25litre. I think the more power the Arete has - the less it has to keep firing up to maintain the set level. That's worth the £40 extra outlay for the 25litre to me. I've had to read the instructions 3 times to understand why it does certain things. They switch off after drying laundry so that's a point I was struggling with. I then end up with condensation & have to put it on CO (continuous) until its cleared. It does say keep in the laundry room and close doors for that mode though. When I'm not using laundry it just keeps checking air every 30 mins and going off again (maintaining the 55% its set on) So shouldn't be using much electric.

Was 70 percent humidity a few days ago according to my machine, which is not good!
How ever only experienced damp in one upstairs bedroom in the corner during the past two winters, I’d clean it with bleach and mould remover kept the heating on but it didn’t help.
I ran the unit at maximum capacity for 7 days last week, & now the unit is set to 55 and it is actually off most of the time (it only switches on when it rises above that amount) so yes very impressed
