This song is one of the first memories I have in life. I was 4 years old when it came out. Thank you Johnny Nash for giving me such a beautiful first-memory! Thank you Midnight Special!
I was a young teenage when this came out. Loved it then, still love it today. Heard this at the end of a series I was watching, and I’m telling you, I needed this beautiful uplifting song!!
I loved this song when it first came out back in 1972. The fact that he could hold a note like that for so long always impressed me. Even today, It's still amazing to hear. I was also surprised to learn he sang the theme to the classic cartoon Hercules. One of my favorite cartoons back in the sixties. RIP Johnny.
As a 20 year old Aussie visiting port Arthur Texas in 1972 this song was played in every bar I visited. I still have great memories of the town and the friendly people there that welcomed me there.
Great song .I was talking to someone who went to school in Peckham London when Johnny Nash and Bob Marley turn up and played a concert for the children
Just wonderful!! 🥰 I had this .45 record growing up, very powerful and inspiring lyrics. Love Johnny’s black leather outfit, snazzy. We can make it now, people!! 😘
Somewhere I read he wrote this and financed it himself and of coarse he performed it to protection the late great John Nash …have people heard similar story .
For over fifty years this song has held the test of time. Simple and effective equals a classic song.
The note he holds during the bridge is amazing.
@@Tanmag11Whew, you’re not kidding 😅

1:16 one of the greatest bridges ever, and that incredible single note "skyyyyyyyy..."
Another thing seems to be missing from today's music is Bridges.. in fact a lot of them don't even know what you're talking about😢

Welcome to AZ! I’ve always wanted to live in Seattle because of the weather and the Seahawks. I love the rain, but should I move to Seattle?

An absolute stellar talent from Houston. (yea, me too!) Shout out to "Rabbit" Bundrick, also from H-Town.

Holds a note for 20 seconds. Amazing.
Jimmy cliff ?
I thought there wasn't any lipsyncing on MS?
They did it often, but not too much
Live vocals sung with studio backing track here
This is so obviously lip synced. Awful
I listened to the album version until I wore it out - there are noticeable differences in this video.
