    First Ride Videos - Bikes that I've never ridden before
    Process
    1. Get access to a motorcycle
    2. Look up the base specs(BHP, Torque, Weight and MSRP)
    3. Film 1 ride on the bike and be honest about how I feel while riding it

    I actually DID choose this over the RK. That is the stock seat and it is quite comfortable. It's a great bike! Still happy with it nearly a year later.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  10 місяців тому +3

      Another comment mentioned about the seat. To be honest I figured it wasn't since it was called out on the spec sheet as a 2 up rogue seat and since it was so much more comfortable than a regular seat it made sense to me.
      It seems a lot of people like this over the RK also. It seems to have more character about. Anyway, I appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts. Stay safe

    I have a 2017 Springfield and love it! I like the original more than the dark horse because I like the chrome parts and trim more than matte black

      Sweet bike! I bought the Challenger Limited over the Dark Horse for the same reason. Looks amazing with all the chrome! a lot of work to keep it looking good, but that's ok. Thanks for sharing, and I appreciate you taking the time to watch. Stay safe and keep enjoying the ride.

    Thanks for the video! Appreciate the sharing of the basic information and that you just supply a raw impressions video. One day I do hope you get bikes for longer that a few minutes since I feel you could provide so much more information and showcase the bike more. Keep going Old Guy! Love the content

      Agreed! I like the commute videos but would like to see a full breakdown of the bikes but I understand its not possible when you go to a demo just to provide the raw impressions is all you have time for.

      I appreciate you for the comment, and hopefully, one day, I will be able to do more in-depth review videos in the future. I still have a lot of work to do to get better, but small steps forward. Be safe and enjoy the ride always!

      Thank you for sharing! I aim to provide an honest first ride impression but I am very thankful for owners when they share their experiences both good and bad. It helps others looking for the bike a lot. Thanks again and stay safe!

      @@MotorcycleDemoRidersThanks. I think the Springfields are Indians overall best looking and handling big cruisers. I like all their models and wouldn't mind one of each. I just wish they bring back the Vintage and classic Chieftain with the retro fenders. There's room for both modern and retro styles. Also, a four cylinder model homage to the 36-42 Scouts and Chiefs would be spiffy as well. But I digress.

  • @Grayhorse23
    @Grayhorse23 10 місяців тому +1

    I chose it over the Road King! As a matter of fact a Road King that was 3 years old with 20,000 miles priced out more than my Springfield new!

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  10 місяців тому

      That is crazy to think about. Don't get me wrong I like the road king but I enjoyed the Springfield more. The way the Springfield handled and felt overall won me over. Thanks for sharing and commenting. I appreciate it! Stay safe and enjoy that bike!

  • @Kriscosmic

    It’s a tough call between the Springfield and Roadking. Both bikes look great, I’d probably take the roadking because I have Chief now

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      It's a difficult choice no doubt. I can understand that especially to get a different feeling. They both are great and are both still in my top 10 bikes I rode for the channel this year. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it! Stay safe

    From what I can see, the bike is exactly as it will be if you buy it without extra equipment (that's a good thing) - I agree with the conclusion you reach at the end. Tanks for the video!

      That is the Dark Horse seat on that Motorcycle It is called the rouge seat? is it not? @@MotorcycleDemoRiders

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  10 місяців тому

      Yeah, on the sticker, it was called the 2 up rogue seat. I didn't realize that was the stock seat for that model. Was really comfortable. Had to change the seat on my 2021 challenger to a saddlemen road sofa.

    I own a road king special and as you say find it quite nimble and maneuverable for 800 plus pounds. I need to find a demo day and ride a Springfield. Looks like a great bike!

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  6 місяців тому +1

      Would definitely try one but I think everyone should try every bike lol. I plan to try and ride every bike ever if I can just to share the experience. If you do get to ride one let me know what you think about it. Stay safe

      I did go to an Indian demo day and decided to try the scout rogue and sport chief. Both very fun! The suspension on the scout wasn’t that great I felt but they both really moved! And the scout was the first liquid cooled I’ve been on. I’m a Harley guy but those are good bikes! Will for sure hop on a Springfield next demo day that rolls through!

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  6 місяців тому +1

      @mickeygaines007 oh I loved the scout rogue. amazing power delivery and yeah the suspension is a bit rough but I when its so close to the ground not much travel available. I didn't like the sport chief but it could have been the risers that it had not being tightened down because it was constant vibrations. Got to try them all.

    • @mickeygaines007
      @mickeygaines007 6 місяців тому

      @@MotorcycleDemoRiders true, a bit rougher ride is to be expected from a low riding bike! I’m regretting not just going to 13 inch legends on my road king when I switched, I stayed with 12 because of my height, still far better than stock but 13 would be awesome I’m sure

  • @paulwaldrop
    @paulwaldrop 3 місяці тому +1

    I tried this, and the 2023 Road King Special. Didn't buy this one. IMHO the Road King was a much smoother ride, and handled a lot better.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      That is something I love about bikes. Its such an individual thing in the end and there is something for everyone. Appreciate you for sharing your feelings on both models.

    The 116 chieftain puts out 126tq. For some reason Indian detuned the 116 to 120tq in the Chief model?

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  10 місяців тому +1

      Oh man, I even missed that in the edit! No, the 116 in this claims 126, but I did say 120. The issues of having very little time to prep before the ride. My fault but good catch thank you for pointing that out.

    • @johnnydangerously7186

      I can read between the lines. Owned a 2017 Springfield and loved it but traded up to a Roadmaster. Those big Indians have an awesome suspension and smooth ride.

      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  10 місяців тому +1

      I have a 2021 indian challenger and love it! This was the first time i got to try the Springfield, and it was so much more enjoyable than I expected it to be. Haven't tried the roadmaster yet, but hopefully, I can try it at some point.

    I like the tech and included upgrades on the Indian models; however, I do not like that all plastic look/covers.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  5 місяців тому

      The headlight cover being plastic was an issue no doubt but I still liked the Springfield over the Road King. Sorry it took me time to respond. I was in the hospital with a terrible case of the flu and feel awful but I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the bike. Stay safe and thanks again.

    You mentioned the sound, funny enough, while I was thinking about it, and it sounds terrible, imo. I'm trying to figure out how to describe it and I just realized it actually sounds a lot like their side by sides. By their I mean Polaris, as this is a Polaris.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  8 місяців тому

      Sound is a subjective thing of course. That said i will need to take your word for it since I've never actually heard a Polaris side by side. Now I will end up searching the sound clips to compare thanks lol. Appreciate your comment and taking the time to do so.
