I think there shouldn't be any drugs. i think it is safer for athletes to not have to worry about drugs if they are trying to compete safely. otherwise, people will take more and more drugs to stay competitive
You have no supporting argument for your second "solution". And to leave out the fact that PEDs take years off of your life is simply irresponsible, a kid will watch this and think "might as well roid up". I'd rather develop better testing than basically force every natty competitor to hop on the juice at the expense of their life. Have some humanity, take down the vid.
This is very fair, I should have taken more time describe my thoughts around the issue. However, you have to remember I am talking about athletes at the absolute highest levels, competing for world records. At this level, especially in weightlifting, natural athletes are incredibly rare. The vast majority of elite lifters are using PED's, and the devil's advocate argument is to say that these drugs should be allowed, but monitored to ensure athlete safety. Many athletes take designer PED's or substitutes to typical PED's to avoid detection, leaving them in a vulnerable position. If they were allowed but regulated, PERHAPS it could be safer for those who choose to use them.
@@David-um8tb it's a comparison between steroid use and overeating. One is illegal, the other is not, but both are unhealthy. The rational for steroid to be banned has always been somewhat weak. Professional sport isn't about being healthy, it,s about pushing your body to its limits (with or without pharmaceutical help)

Tasha and co who eats 6000+ calories a day also takes year off your life. Should it be illegal to force feed yourself?
@@phlemrazzes7704 No one is talking about making anything illegal, where do you get that from?
He also says that there's no way to prevent drug use among athletes, after explaining a way which would prevent it after it is fully implemented.
