When adding water to an already-boiling pot, ensure that it's BOILING WATER as cold water will toughen the meat, change the final outcome texture, and cause the meat to take longer to cook.
When slow cooking u can base the meat with cold water seeming the meat has not start springing it’s liquid yet it won’t affect it unless u add cold water writhing the cooking process !!! Next thing u base the meat with a little water and allow the meat to spring its own liquid This is shit !!! Can’t taste good
6 years my guy never teach me to cook jamaican food he's territorial in his kitchen and makes me nervous so I don't ask 🤷🏽♀️but you sir taught me how to make a boss curry 🐐now he's getting nervous I might out cook him🤣😉...new sub👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Morris you're the best Jamaican male Chef on UA-cam..( I hope Miguel, Chef Ricardo and Yardie belly doh vex wid meh)..you guys are good too.( Mischievous Chuckling ) teeheeehee😁😁😁
I don’t know you, but as a fellow Canadian/Torontonian, I’m proud of how you’re running your channel. You’re doing a great job with the content, narration, authenticity to your personality, and consistency. 👍🏾👍🏾
Chef Morris, I did this recipe for my mom abs now she always makes me cook three curried goat, I pair it with your roti recipe which my niece can't get enough of. You making me into a good cook. When my husband finds me he's gonna be pleased.
I love cooking my curry with coconut. I love your videos, also enjoy trying out all your recipes which have all been great. What I really love is that you don't talk too much, like Chef Ricardo. You are definitely my No1 go to.
This turned out peeeeeeeerfect. Followed everything to a T except I added pure blended onions into the meat during the 1st phase of cooking down. Everything was perfect and my husband is well pleased. Thank you so much Adrian. Your oxtail is next on my list. I've made nuff of your other recipe and they all are hits!
Am cooking curry goat now and so far it's beautiful , the smell is amazing . I can taste it in the air. Thank you chef Morris. Omg I added the coconut cream , it's delicious 😋😋😋😋
Good video bro! Recommend when you adding water though that you add boiling water instead of water at room temperature. The room temperature change back the texture of the meat to a little harder than before, so it’s like you removing tenderness. Think of it as spoiling meat and trying to bring it back!! Good video still. Mi like it!,,
Yea i always have hot water while cooking so when I need to add water it doesn't change the temperature and slows down the cooking time. But morris BADD°°°°
@lovelyblkwoman Brown as a Chef of 15 years advice and tips should always be welcome. Advice can come from even a child. Some friendly advice. Ps the hot water is a great tip
My gawd! Growin up, curried goat/lamb was my all time fave! Nothing’s changed years later!!! I like mine a little spicer than most! Them bonnet peppers is a MUST!!!
What I love about west indian cooking is nothing is ever exact science, when it comes to weights and measurements. We just know how much to use and how long to cook for.
I love your cooking ❤️ I normally make my Jamaican beef and lamb curry this way but I put a little more onions and garlic in and a bag of carrots in with it.it gives it a lovely sweet unusual flavour. Try it and you will be hooked on it
