The death of Finduilas is rather gruesome. Celebrimbor's death was not just gruesome but disgusting.

Even a few mispronunciations, and lore mistakes… I can see your passion as a Tolkien lore enthusiast and I deeply respect that as an immense fan myself.
Also I love the presentation of the videos and would love to see more! Your editing and choice of words absolutely makes this entertaining to watch.

Thank you! I truly appreciate your feedback.
With every video I try to improve the fact checking and pronunciations.
There is plenty more to watch. And I have lots of ideas :)

@@The.Lore.Seeker Oh absolutely. I'm definitely going through the catalogue of your videos to enjoy them. The first ones I watched were the ones about the most gruesome deaths/most terrifying monsters in Tolkien lore.

Fingon and Celebrimbor are so wild…

yeah...... you forgot the second death after Glaurung's death. Niniel/Nienor threw herself from the cliff yes. After that, Turin killed himself with Gurthang.

Absolutely agree with nr 1! I would add Felagund & Meadhros, but you can never have a list that satisfies everyone.

Agreed! The fun thing is, this gives me the space to do a part 2 👍🏻

Fingolfin was not hammered to death by Morgoth, he was crushed by Morgoth's foot, which the Dark Lord place on him after Fingolfin wearily stumbled into one of the earthen rents made by Grond. The Silmarillion says "the weight of it (Morgoth's foot and leg) was like a fallen hill" and with his last strength Fingolfin stabbed the foot, causing Morgoth to go lame from that point on. Elven-blade, Ringil, left its mark.

I had to look it up myself (chapter 18, if I remember correct) and you are right!
      Sorry about that.

The Teleri's Swan Ships were not burned during the first Kinslaying, but rather later, after Fëanor had used them to cross the sea to return to Middle Earth. He had them burned rather than send them back for the followers of his brother Fingolfin.

I mean some individual deaths were definitely gruesome....being burned alive by Sauron's hand...Gil-galad, the death of Gelmir before Nirnaeth Arnoediad....being blinded, having feet and hands cut off before beheading! Fingolfin being crushed by Morgoth's foot and still hacking at it! Those of the Noldor who died burned alive during Dagor Bragollach, by the flames...Fingon being crushed to death by the maces of Balrogs:
“At last Fingon stood alone with his guard dead about him; and he fought with Gothmog, until another Balrog came behind and cast a thong of fire about him. Then Gothmog hewed him with his black axe, and a white flame sprang up from the helm of Fingon as it was cloven. Thus fell the High King of the Noldor; and they beat him into the dust with their maces; and his banner, blue and silver, they trod into the mire of his blood.”
    ― JRR Tolkien
Also the companions of Finrod Felagund and Beren during their quest....all devoured alive by Werewolves!! Finrod of course faced a werewolf on his own with hands and teeth.

You really seem to know your Tolkien lore! Those deaths are indeed some of the most intense and heartbreaking moments in Tolkien's stories. The way he describes the fates of Gil-galad, Fingolfin, Fingon, and the others really brings home the brutal reality of those battles. Thanks for sharing bro

Was this written and read by ChatGPT? It’s not a bad thing I’m just curious to see whether or not I can pick out when it’s written by AI. You clearly know your stuff when it comes to middle earth as ChatGPT isn’t very reliable so I imagine that you would still have done a lot of work to make it doesn’t say something stupid

I can assure you this has been written by a human, a close friend of mine who knows even more of Tolkien's Legendarium than I do.

@@The.Lore.Seeker Interesting, ChatGPT does have the capacity to write well so no insult. I have been having a lot of fun with ChatGPT and noticed a lot of parallels between your script and something written by ChatGPT. Stuff like “each a testament to…” or “with ferocity” and even more conventions is repeated throughout and are things that I find ChatGPT says a lot

There are other words and sentences ChatGPT uses a lot (way to much), being an IT specialist myself I fiddled around with ChatGPT a lot. But I've never managed to get a really good article, story or script out of it. Then again, I'm not a native English speaker, and my writer is.

Being not a native English speaker, it's sometimes hard to get it right.
I do my best though :)
