Good evening, George. Dang! I wouldn't have made it past the front porch, without loading up on everything there. They had really good prices on everything. There were too many things there that would've had to go home with me to mention singularly. That sale was something of a treasure trove of items! Thanks for taking us along!
I know what you mean! I got more than I could show, and I would've gladly bought those small furniture pieces at those prices...I only buy that size anymore and the prices were amazing! But I'm heading west with a van full so I couldn't take it all
@@TheAntiqueNomad I would've been loaded up like The Beverly Hillbillies 😂 There were so many things there that I really don't think I could've left. One thing I do know - I would've had an instant collection of butter molds and children's plates.
Hey George! I often hear you say, “it won’t fit in my car”. I laughed because my husband always ask before we go to an estate sale, want to take my (small) car? “No” I answer “ if I see something that I can’t bring home..it would just drive me nuts!😂
I work for this estate sale company and was introduced to you and your channel the day you visited. It was a pleasure meeting you! We are so happy you stopped in and found such wonderful treasures to take with you! 😊We look forward to perhaps seeing you again in the future! Love your channel!
Beautiful home with so many treasures... thank you George for always sharing your incredible knowledge on vintage antique everything! Loved the art deco style old glass bottle and loved that little marble clock you found, too ❤
Some very nice pricing for sure. I love to go to the estate sales and see what is there and also see the different way people lived. Have a wonderful time and great day with safe travels
I just love your videos, it makes my day when I wake up, sit down and have my coffee, turn on UA-cam to find there's a new video from you. That fairy 🧚 with a bird bowl you picked up Jeffrey from real nifty. Vintage has the matching plate to go with your bowl. He just uploaded a video where he found it.
Spectacular! I can't believe the prices & the fact that they had so much. My grandpa had a little cabinet like the one you showed, I remember always looking @ his pipes, & the tobacco smell. Grandma had a house full of lovely antiques.🙂❤
Dear George, It is genuinely good to see you hale and hearty❤❤!!! If you pick up the smoking table , I just happen to have some copper that may fit in the inside. Measure it, and the copper is yours. We'll see you in October in Spokane!!! let me know beforehand!!!!! Can't wait to see you wherever it may be!!!! J and Chuck ❤❤❤❤
What a magical place to visit for a grandkid! I hope all of the children's dishes get sold. I heard about Saltpeter being used in the military! I don't know about that. I wonder who remembers the Hickory Farm stores from the early 80's. The were wallpapered, stuffed with antiques and hoosiers and their products. I was mesmerized by everything there. My hoosier was bought at that time period for $800 at auction and I'm keeping it until I hit the ground 6ft under.
I don’t remember the Pepperidge Farm stores. Although I’ve dreamt of having a log cabin restaurant with ceramic antique and vintage figures of wildlife on shelves in each booth!
Oh be still my heart, what a great sale, great prices. This is when you turn to your partner and say “Go find a truck to rent” lol. George someone did not want to have any furniture to move. That was cheaper than thrift stores and great quality. I may not sleep now lol, knowing those sales are out there. Thank you for your hard work you do.
Hey George...this sale would be dangerous to my pocket book haha! I love useful household items - particularly kitchen gear. I love to cook, bake and preserve food...so the old kitchen furniture and cookware would be right up my alley. Thanks for sharing this with us all!
Getting ready to start my reselling business! Just got back from thrifting & have sorted everything! Will wash & clean & home dry clean the designer items!❤🎉 I’m so excited!
Your knowledge of all the makers and years the pieces were made boggles my mind!!! I have such fun watching you shop for treasures!!! I am a collector of Vaseline glass and I’m always looking “over your shoulder” for pieces. Good hunting!!!!!
I definitely would have grabbed the macrame planter holders. Here in California they're getting popular again for people who love plants in the home and front patios
I would have had a heyday there. I still buy things with damage for myself, especially if I love the graphics. I rarely see old children's dishes. I wouldn't have been able to make up my mind.
George, I would have really enjoyed going through that estate sale. So many Shirley things ❤ Did I hear you correctly when you mentioned Kodak Slides from Antartica? Did you say your Father was stationed there? If so, were they passed onto you? I would love to see some of those. Heck, I'd love to see and meet you! Ha! Maybe nextime you come back to Marshall or Utica Michigan. Now, I want to say something to you that has probably been said before. IMHO, you have the best channel for vintage/antique and oddities videos. I have learned so much from you and, more importantly to me, you make me want to dig deeper and keep learning more. I so appreciate you George. With sincere admiration from, The Great Lake State of Michigan 🐢
Hi George! I live in Lincoln and would have loved to run into you. Maybe another time. We have some really good estate sale companies here. Where I lived in Iowa before I never really had any estate sales, just in person auctions. Now living here it is the opposite, a lot of estate sales every week and almost no live auctions.
Cool fun vintage !! So Tupperware has declared bankruptcy now . Time to stock up on vintage pieces ? For some reason I find lots of their jello molds here . Plus those large cake carriers . I have a hamburger shaper by them that I use . And recently picked up the newer version of it at Goodwill. My dad was a WW2 vet RCAF POW . His plane was shot down over Dresdan. I remember him saying that they were given Salt Peter to keep them from being “frisky”. Guess it didn’t always work too well, as there were many babies born to a German mother , whose father was either a Canadian or an American .
Cool! However, our Trojan mascot for our new school opened in 1980 was picked because it was a reference to condoms. Our classmates were rather crass and the administration never caught on
I can appreciate that, I figured Pepe’s desperation and self-image were making fun of creepy guys but I can see where from a woman’s perspective that might hit too close to home
@@TheAntiqueNomad I don't think milk glass is affected by the sun, is it? The manganese used in glass after flint glass , that turned purple in the sun was used to make the glass clear.
