Hi George! Great to" shop" along with you! Love seeing you talk about things I have also picked up and learning about new things to look out for! Take care ❣️
I seen a couple of Fenton shoes and a boot, how lovely, especially the boot that glows. I like going shopping with you I learn so much. That black set of lattice plates was beautiful. Have a great day and safe travels.
Great video. Adorable girl w/the pink poodles. Loved that pink chair too at the estate sale. So much fun learning about so many items. Love & Blessings Always
I have my mom’s Westbend Penguin and its box . I refer to it as a timeless piece . I wonder just how many of those were made ? They’re everywhere 😂. In a way it reminds me of the Kirby vacuum . There was one of each in homes . The Kirby sales people sure knew how to sell .
This may be useful information for you... When dress forms are smaller and not adjustable, women would pad it with layers of newspaper until it's the needed size. (my mother was a professional seamstress and she had one that she did that with)
The Dunlap is not the Stanley you saw at the mall. But the one you got is in great condition, the paint on the wood grips is perfect and it's a $50 item. You can clean the sole with a little solvent, just the sole, to get rid of those nasty white streaks.
I do like the Candlewick pattern glass, from the estate sale. The knight and lady... they don't have any colors, or size in common. I think the seller thought they were close enough? 🤔 I love the solid colors 70s Pyrex. My parents had the Westbend 70s flower ice bucket. I love custard glass, glowy or not. Stay safe and enjoy.
Agreed about the knight and lady not seeming to be a match, but the marks seemed similar. I like the solid color Pyrex too, and custard glass is cool regardless of how much uranium they used!
I was on Facebook on those groups from the 70s and 80s they showed a picture of Stevie Nicks and I swear it looked just like Leif Garrett. I pulled up the picture of him and one of those teen magazines I can't remember which one it was in the early picture of Stevie Nicks and they were like identical it was amazing.
Hi George! I'm interested in purchasing the Grove's Tasteless Chill Tonic measuring glass you that we saw you find in this video. I work at the haunted old Grove Park Inn in Asheville NC. I was trapped there for 3 days when Helene hit, yes, it was dark and spooky especially navigating my way through floor after floor in the original Main Inn late at night with just a very old dim flashlight with old half dead batteries. I was very happy to get out when the streets were cleared and extremely relieved to get to my mountain home to discover my son and granddaughter safe. I wish I could have seen this video when it first uploaded, I hope you still have the glass.
25:16 as someone who loves older-looking kitchenware, the crazing wouldn't dissuade me from buying a canister, as I'm buying it to be used and not so much for decoration. Plus crazing shows the true age of something.
@@TheAntiqueNomad yeah, it means it was used and loved. None of my kitchen equipment is in perfect shape, but that just means I used them over many years.
Almost bought a Treasure Craft Teepee cookie jar this weekend. Almost because while it was still in the box, it was also more in line with a chip and dip set at this point. The chip part anyway. It sounds like you made out much better on ceramics.
The brownie camera was my 1st camera( hand me down from my dad) I actually still have a Film roll that's undeveloped. I wonder where I could get that done.
Good evening, George. I would've probably had to get the silver plate set, at that price. My grandparents had one of the old Moroccan hanging light fixtures, in blue, with the bubble glass...left it when they moved to a different house 😐 Someone they knew brought it back from a trip to Morocco, in the 1960s. It was big and heavy. I'd love to have it now. There are still several of the old Asian dolls here that mom collected. I'm hanging onto them, too. I would've had to get the Alfred Hitchcock magazines. I like Hitch. Do a lot of souvenir pieces sell? I've never liked them, so I never collected any of them. I'm one of the people that really likes crazing, so the _Cattail_ pieces I liked. I have two of the annodised aluminium beverage sets - one West Bend and one Zephyr. There were a lot of interesting items there, and the prices were really good. Thanks for taking us along!
That was a surprising place! The Moroccan fixtures just caught my eye, they always have. Neat that you had one that came from there in the family! I like Hitch too, Rear Window is one of my favorite movies of all time. Souvenir pieces can sell, they really vary so much in quality and style that it just depends on the one. Anodized aluminum is really cool looking, but my fillings react to aluminum so I don't use any! I'm glad you had fun with this one, I never know what to expect but this place has something to it
@@TheAntiqueNomad I wish that Moroccan fixture was still in the family! Grandmother liked the look of it, but she didn't like the fact that the blue glass didn't allow a lot of light through it, so it was left in the house when they sold it. The thing with souvenir pieces, for me, is names of places or events on them. I've just never cared for that. I don't use any of the beverage sets in my collection, so them looking cool is all I'm about with them. They just set on stuff...all over the house...and look pretty 😂
I don't mean to be that guy, but are you *sure* that silverware shown at 3:30 was silverplate? When you showed it on camera I could have sworn it was Wallace "Rose Point", a sterling pattern.
It seemed very similar but was definitely marked plate. I can’t find evidence that Wallace made it in plate but it also seemed just a bit off from the Rose point shape
Hi George. My grandfather was head of the passenger division of Southern RR. He retired in the early 60’s. How much are you selling selling that Southern RR glass for? Can I buy it?
That shop was a great stop .
Hi George! Great to" shop" along with you! Love seeing you talk about things I have also picked up and learning about new things to look out for! Take care ❣️
Be safe in your travels George. Always enjoy "shopping" with you!
Oh that owl for only $10! The little spatter glass pitcher for $5! Take me to Iowa!😍

They are a fun blast from the past!
Thanks George saw a few things I have never seen before
You Scored in that flea market 😎
I seen a couple of Fenton shoes and a boot, how lovely, especially the boot that glows. I like going shopping with you I learn so much. That black set of lattice plates was beautiful. Have a great day and safe travels.
Very nice shopping video!
Also love glowy glass !!!

I can definitely see you put a great deal of time in preparing this type of video and I appreciate that!
Thank you! I do

Those would be cool to have now!
Love Fenton !!!
Wow you were in my community and one of my favorite shops in Sioux City Iowa….
Dishwashered to death 😂 I love the black glass
Great video. Adorable girl w/the pink poodles. Loved that pink chair too at the estate sale. So much fun learning about so many items.

Love this video! The prices were killer at the last place! better than garage & estate sales! I'd be broke after shopping that one!
I know, right?
Wonderful prices.
Hooray the count down!

They made a lot but they’re popular still!
Hello George & everyone 🙂👋
Loved the flea market/old co-op. The prices were about the same as when the items were purchased.
Yes amazing!
This may be useful information for you... When dress forms are smaller and not adjustable, women would pad it with layers of newspaper until it's the needed size. (my mother was a professional seamstress and she had one that she did that with)
That’s interesting to know!

Thank you, good advice! No, it isn't the same desirability level of Stanley, but certainly good enough for the price
cool stuff!

Have you ever seen them in the same room? Makes you wonder
@@TheAntiqueNomad oh George got to love ya 😁
Lol the shotgun shell cross
Sioux City, IA!! I was so close to George!! Happy Iowa Hunting!! 😃
Thank you!!Fun video!!
Weeeeird! I just sold 18:23 online. Mine wasn’t in quite as good condition but I bought low. It’s a very cute basket with the cosmos decal.
What great estate and antique mall. So many interesting things. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Very cool!

I wish I’d known the history of it! It sold and now two of you who had experience with it told me more of the story

A fair number of people feel same, it’s a look of age some people like
@@TheAntiqueNomad yeah, it means it was used and loved. None of my kitchen equipment is in perfect shape, but that just means I used them over many years.

Hello everyone!
30:42 if I may make a correction George. That German smoker comes apart in the middle, not where the cap is. Wonderful, educational and fun video. ♥
You are correct, of course! I know better and just didn't state that right
Just wondering if the casserole at 3:53 was a Bill Campbell piece? Reminds me of his signature
I thought the same! Very unusual piece for him but pretty sure it’s his!
agreed
The signature seems similar, but the C is not exactly so I wasn't sure
The brownie camera was my 1st camera( hand me down from my dad) I actually still have a Film roll that's undeveloped. I wonder where I could get that done.
Glazers photography in seattle still does that

@ pretty is good enough reason to have them! Souvenirs are a form of advertising and so lack subtlety, but I like them if they’re from a place I dwell
😍😍😍
🤩🥰

Hi George. My grandfather was head of the passenger division of Southern RR. He retired in the early 60’s. How much are you selling selling that Southern RR glass for? Can I buy it?
I’m sorry, it sold but I’ll look for more!
Vintage esh
I got a piece of what looks like Nemadji pottery at an estate sale, but it’s not marked. Does that mean it was probably a hobbyist piece?
Probably so
You sure move around, 😂must be why your so slender, ty for all the videos
Where have i been ?
Puppies are "cute", George...silver plate isn't!
