As an Egyptian 🇪🇬, I see that unfortunately these scammers are harming the reputation of the country, even ordinary Egyptians, who are not sellers. I often try to provide assistance, for example, in crossing the road because it is somewhat difficult for foreigners if there is no traffic light, but some people are afraid or suspect that I am like salesmen, and will ask for money, specially if giving a free gift. In fact, all I wanted to provide was humanitarian assistance without financial compensation. Just a smile would be enough. Perhaps I also need help someday in a certain country, and I find someone to help me without asking. this is how things should be going. thanks for everyone visits our country and make it more beauty with diversity of tourists.❤❤

Thanks so much Dale for the tip. Met Hamdy on Sunday. Had the time of our lives. We had 4 in our group. He and his brother each had 2. They were exceptionally nice. The camels rocket , Mickey Mouse, lulu and Ceasar were beautiful well behaved and well kept. All the tack was clean. Made for some great pictures. The price has gone up a little due to taxes since video. Now it 350EGP. (11 USD)Super cheap. Hamdy was easy to communicate with WhatsApp ..What I liked the most is the camel ride allowed everything to slow dow a little. We had a great guide for the pyramids but it moves fast… One of the highlights of our trip so far…❤
That was so good when he offered to give you the extra money back, he was so genuine. I love your channel, I'm a late subscriber, so I've been binge watching all your videos.
To worry about the camels' well-being and tipping his owner much more is enjoyable to watch this traveler. I will subscribe to this channel just for his kindness. I watch so many of the youtiber - travelers - and this young man was raised well. Kind, sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable. Love it!!

Totally amazed by the Pyramids and other temples, my older brother visited them on a Mediterranean school cruise on the MS Uganda in 1976. He flew to Rome from Glasgow to board the ship, my other older brother flew to Yugoslavia for his trip. When it came my turn, myself and my twin went to Switzerland, on a bloody bus. While it was great, I really wanted the Pyramid's, but guess we were all lucky to have visited such amazing places while at school. My parents worked really hard to pay for these trips, we were all very fortunate to have such great parents, miss them both so much. Well done om ~ ONE MILLION ~ Dale, you make me proud to be a fellow Scot.
I was here 5-6 years ago and i never knew how bad of a problem the hustlers were. I was so used to seeing the pyramids thru documentaries and pictures. but when you go there, its exactly how this video is. theres even shops near the sphinx to try to get your money. One of the great wonders of this world and its being abused by scammers and pegglers, its such a damn shame. I was haggled so much that it literally tainted my expiereence to the point where I tell everyone not to go bc its that annoying. these guys treat the place with such disgust, camel horse sht everywher enot even cleaned and litter all over the place. Its truly disgusting man, they seriously need to fine people or do something. Get these guys different jobs
@@gely_ yup theres a police checkpoint there now and theyve removed the homes or slums these people were living in and moved them out for 1 its part of the program to eliminate slums 2 the people living there are the ones who do this a handful of them are in prision. There is a plan to upgrade the area which its first stage will be the Grand Egyptian musuem it increased the police around the area which is good and theyre not regular traffic police thats for sure. Very sorry for your experince ive had a similar ex. Even as an Egyptian nothing was upgraded or enforced during mubarak's rule corruption was literally every where atleast the new president wants to change things and is doing a very good job so far despite the media probganda bombarding our country from the inside and the outside. I would reccomend visiting again when this museum opens im planning to do that too and if you want a true Ancient Egypt experince you can visit luxour and that musuem. Just be sure to know the prices of what you are gonna do before hand because there might be scammers or whats left of themand report to the police in the area good luck

Nice way of teaching honesty mate. This way more people will be inspired to do the same thing like you did and I think it will be better for the economy of tourist attraction like this. Well done mate
Hi Dale! I am from Brunei. I wish to come to Egypt one day.. Thanks for sharing the video about the pyramids of Giza... This might be important source for my trip to Giza one day.. There are so fabulous... ❤️
The red stone is granite. Used at various places throughout the pyramids. The ones scattered around the base were one part of the base of the pyramid. The same thing for the room that they did mumification at was all granite. Granite is often used on the interior as well for the vaulted ceilings and overhead stones for its strength.
Hi Dale this is a great experience for life to remember. I'm glad you eventually met an honest guy who took you on a nice and pleasant ride. The tourist needs more like him. Very impressive pyramids it is amazing to see but how they did it, it is the question that remains unanswered. Thank you for sharing your amazing experience. Be careful and be safe brother!! 🙏🙏💞💞
I visited back in 2017. The thugs, hustlers, fake police and harassments were overwhelming and annoying. Love the scenery but the negative experience took it all away :-(
I'm sorry if you had some bad experience from some hustlers there, and I hope you forgive them. There is no excuse for this behavior. And for your knowledge many of us Egyptians are pressing on government on social media and other channels to forbid these kind of actions. Also many others working on raising awareness of tourism importance to the country. Soon there will be a major project to redevelop the whole Pyramids Plateau area to meet with the new Great Museum area. Sorry again and I hope you consider a re-visit after.
You soon learn nobody does anything for $0! The shonks want a tip for everything and swarm like seagulls to fight others for your business! You can either dress like a local or pay $$$ to a tour guide to keep shonks away! If you dress in a disguise then you got selfies of you in Arab gear!
@@HAIDYJUNIOR open your eyes…it’s on this film, can u not see it. I know people are making a living it is their job..but the relentlessness of it ,makes tourists experience unhappy.
I love this series. As much as I can empathize with the economic conditions of these places that you are visiting, I still think it is important for the travelers to avoid the scams that you are referring to. You know that makes it a lot more pleasurable for somebody to travel and at the same time help the local economy by way of tourism
We just recieved a tour of the pyramids from Hamdi. He is incredible and i cant recommend him highly enough. He brought us to a trustworthy papyrus dealer and genuine egyptian oils merhcant. The large stones with a red color that are located next to the Pyramid of Cheops (or the Great Pyramid of Giza) in Egypt are known as the "red granite blocks." These blocks are made of a type of granite with a reddish hue and originate from the Aswan Quarry, approximately 800 kilometers upstream from Giza. The red granite blocks served a specific purpose in the construction of the pyramid. They were used to clad the internal part of the access passage leading to the burial chamber, as well as to clad the royal chamber inside. The exterior of the pyramid was originally covered with a layer of smoothly polished white limestone blocks, which, unfortunately, have largely disappeared over the centuries and survive only in a few places. The use of the red granite blocks had both practical and symbolic meanings. From a practical perspective, granite was a highly durable material that was resistant to weathering and erosion. The red granite cladding provided additional protection for the internal structures of the pyramid. Symbolically, granite was also a material associated with divine power and immortality. The red color of the granite was connected to the rising and setting of the sun, and it was considered a symbol of eternity and divine strength. Therefore, the red granite blocks next to the Pyramid of Cheops served both practical and symbolic purposes in the construction of the pyramid.
History of Greece and Egypt and their mythologies saved me when I was depressed and suicidal. I have enjoyed my first time on Acropolis, when I finally visited it. I sat there and was thanking that place for saving me several years ago. I hopped to have the same experience in Egypt and pyramids. God, that was a nightmare, I nearly cried right there. They LITERALLY do not let you have a single thought without them.
We Egyptians ourselves suffer from scammers like them 🤦♀️ But this dude hamdi is such a good man Anyways have a beautiful journey in this beautiful country there's soooo much else to see

Hamdy is a legend, me and my friends used him last January (2023) while in Cairo. He and his brother greeted us and took us around the pyraminds aand then we went and ate some camel liver before finally going to a essential oils store. We all had so much fun and shared so many stories and laughter. He's the best guide for Cairo & he also has connections in Luxor, top guy!
I love how when dale goes somewhere instead of him saying “I’m gonna go to the camels” he says “were gonna get camel rides” it makes not only me feel special but all of us since by him including us in his speech shows us how much he cares about his fans. 23:05
Honesty always goes a long way. He was honest and received a tip! People who are not may rip you off now but later they will pay for their actions in an other way!
I went to Giza in 2015 and it was devoid of any Western tourists. In fact Cairo itself was super quiet (from a tourist perspective): Glad to see its getting busier again. Mercifully I had a local take me around the pyramids, a chap whom I worked with, so he was able to bat away all the touts.
I went in 2016 , little kids some 8 yrs old were taught English, they said “mr help me mr! Where are the tourists?!” He was selling tissues. He was trained to . I met a boy who was about 14. His folks did it tough and he sold snacks on a tressle table for $. He got pulled out of school! You couldn’t get a western child to do that at 8-14! Too busy with their Xbox!
I experienced the same thing in late 2016.. Especially in other spots around Cairo.. I think i only seen ONE other Westerner at the big Market place and he looked super nervous lolol (i probably looked the same.. it was pure chaos and as a westerner you stand out quite a bit!)

Congratulations to you Dale, for the 1 million. Your videos have no substitutes. They are unique and display a version no one else matches. Your fan from Mauritius. I hope to see you one day here. I will be your guide and host you if ever come here ❤ again congratulations and keep going
I got scammed a couple of times when I was there, but I fixed that by wearing a galabeya (sp?) which is the nightshirt-looking garment that Egyptian men wear. I even look as if I could be local, albeit a little tall, which helped immensely. I also kept my mouth shut to not betray that I was a foreigner. Worked like a charm.
I had a good time at Giza. An Arab guy with horses was touting for tourists to put up on the horses and he would hold the rope and walk the horse around. He asked me and I said no I don’t want anyone holding the horse. He said can I ride a horse. I said sure. So he basically said I will race you and no charge. So he gave me a horse, and we took off out into the desert behind the Pyramids. We went over a mile. It was pretty cool. And we were even. After that we stopped and trotted back to the carpark area. On the way back he told me how to sneak into the graveyard near the Pyramids that night to watch the light and sound show for gratis. I was with a girl at the time, she was impressed, and yeah that night we sneaked in and sat among the graves to watch the show. Cool.
Some recommendations to what to do else in cairo from a citizen: -visit the cave church and babylion fortress (coptic cairo) -visit Saladin fortress -visit zamalek island in the night -try local food in elbrens or Hagooga -visit new cairo in the east (eltagamoa) (highly recommend this choice)

I hope Hamdi gets enough calls to start his own Honest Agency and I hope people reward him for ensuring that for us.
I hope he's still there cause am landing there in January hopefully
Hamdi is the best, organised a great tour for me and my boyfriend, made sure we were happy with our experience wouldnt have had it any other way that you for leaving his details 🥰
I'm glad he's still making money giving tours and camel rides
Blessed to honest camel guy, hopefully he gets more tourists furthermore, and also much thanks to Dale for giving us the legit information n great experiences 👍🏻👍🏻

very happy to see an honest person like him, and he is humble too, respect to Dale and Hamdi💓 love from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Hamdi is just a great guy, hope he gets amazing gigs and piles of money from this, you can tell he's a nice honest guy.
That was so good when he offered to give you the extra money back, he was so genuine. I love your channel, I'm a late subscriber, so I've been binge watching all your videos.
So nice
To worry about the camels' well-being and tipping his owner much more is enjoyable to watch this traveler. I will subscribe to this channel just for his kindness. I watch so many of the youtiber - travelers - and this young man was raised well. Kind, sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable. Love it!!
Hamid is an honest man. It’s always nice to see someone do a fair job. Bravo Hamid your family and your country can be proud of you. Greetings from Croatia
Loved how u tipped him more than x2 the money u made his day bless him . Nice job I'm going soon

•Tourists like genuinely kind and honest people.
•Hamdi is a genuinely kind and honest person.
•Because of that, Hamdi might not make as much money in the short term-but in the long term he will definitely make 100x more money (and have more opportunities) than the scammers.

The camel man was just ❤️❤️
Stole my heart ❤️❤️
Such an honest man, every other camel man should be like him
That's how you get extra money. Not by being pushy. But friendly and accommodating. A lesson for every scam artist out there.
Totally amazed by the Pyramids and other temples, my older brother visited them on a Mediterranean school cruise on the MS Uganda in 1976. He flew to Rome from Glasgow to board
the ship, my other older brother flew to Yugoslavia for his trip. When it came my turn, myself and my twin went to Switzerland, on a bloody bus. While it was great, I really wanted the
Pyramid's, but guess we were all lucky to have visited such amazing places while at school. My parents worked really hard to pay for these trips, we were all very fortunate to have such
great parents, miss them both so much. Well done om ~ ONE MILLION ~ Dale, you make me proud to be a fellow Scot.

Hustlers at The Pyramids is a great band name!
😅😅😅😅
Yep
Dale's back !!! Went from watching this man play poker to watching this man travel the world ! Love it
Dale, thank you for taking me to the Pyramids my great friend, I really appreciate it. Your UA-cam videos are spectacular as usual, take care & stay healthy, always looking forward to your future videos.

talk is talk brother, once you're in a foreign situation like this one, instinct will kick in and YOU WILL OBEY!
my sister went to Egypt and she said the country is beautiful however scammers and some sketchy individuals made days out very uncomfortable and even left her feeling abit unsafe because they would get irritated and very insulting if turnt down, I think you being male really helped you from maybe preventing any possible insults or abuse towards you, thank you for showing us first hand experiences
i gotta be honest i get so happy when i see people staying honest around a bunch of scammers, the scarf guy and your honest camel rider guy were awesome i probably wouldve paid them the amount the scammers would've tried charging just to spite them lmao
ok i got to the part where you did, you know what's up🤣 and he was so grateful, guy really made it worth it. That was such a nice moment
Seeing wholesome comments of Hamdi😊 hope he got a ton of business from this video!
It was so funny hearing you say "Michael Jordan, get down" LOL. Glad you got out of the situation without much headache. On the bright side, the picture turned out awesome!
Nice way of teaching honesty mate. This way more people will be inspired to do the same thing like you did and I think it will be better for the economy of tourist attraction like this. Well done mate
Really love your vids you're just a no nonsense scotsman, you handle every sticky situation with ease. Much love from wales.
Hi Dale! I am from Brunei. I wish to come to Egypt one day.. Thanks for sharing the video about the pyramids of Giza... This might be important source for my trip to Giza one day.. There are so fabulous... ❤️
Love that he gave him 500, Honest people like that deserve a little more
The red stone is granite.
Thank Dale for always remembering me🙏🙏😎
I love the $500 tip! Rewarding the honest man!
it was 500 EGP

Hamdi and Hussein were so nice and friendly!❤
I visited back in 2017. The thugs, hustlers, fake police and harassments were overwhelming and annoying. Love the scenery but the negative experience took it all away :-(
Just talk about where is the proof of your words.

Hamdi is a nice man, all locals should be proud of him.

Such an honest guy thank you for making our trip so easy in what is a difficult country to navigate without a local. Im glad i have a new brother in Hamdi!
As soon as I see Hamdi when you enter the pyramid, I Know he was the honest guy, Appreciate that you give us perspective dude!
I thought they were a smooth covering that chipped off the pyramid over time.
Kinda vague
Thanks Danny "Wikipedia" Willemsen. You're a master of internet searches.
They LITERALLY do not let you have a single thought without them.

the way the universe works is very unique. scammers always look for ways extra hard to get more money, while hamdi on the other hand just needs to show honesty and the money comes by itself. Maybe other people who watch this video will one day look for Hamdi as their guide when visiting Egypt
Dale. I love the videos. You’re the only tourist I enjoyed watching. My father watches a lot of tourist videos of varying countries but the host was always off. You my friend, I can connect with.
Oh, and my I add, I love the accent.
It’s such a shame, I spent 2 months in Egypt over covid it was so quiet around the pyramids at that time and as you can imagine I was a target, but in general wherever I went I just found the Egyptian people to much, always after money, such a beautiful country but the people unfortunately ruined it for me.
Thanks for giving that guy 500. I would do the same after such good tour. You are awesome! 👍
well done on passing 1 million subscribers Dale , you work very hard to give quality real world video's of your travels , the good the bad the ugly , real reviews that are priceless for travelers who go to where you have been ,you let them know what to expect and can learn from your experience's , invaluable and can make someone's experience 100 times better ,Avoid some of the tourist pitfalls and avoid the scammers & conmen, visit places you highly recommend.👍👍👍👍keep up the good work ,what's for you , won't go by you .
Thank you for sharing Hamdi # & info .I wish him much sucess for his honesty 😊
Safe travels ✌️

Worked like a charm.

why are these videos co cool too watch, i hate vlogs and stuff but this guy makes it somehow watchable
"50 pounds because ur face look egyptian"
That made me cry
cracked me up... the camel ride dude kept saying, "English forever." And, Dale kept correcting him, "no, Scottish forever." hahaha
Something to be said about a man with integrity.. Hamdi is a good dude. He radiates good energy..
Cool.
Some recommendations to what to do else in cairo from a citizen:
-visit the cave church and babylion fortress (coptic cairo)
-visit Saladin fortress
-visit zamalek island in the night
-try local food in elbrens or Hagooga
-visit new cairo in the east (eltagamoa) (highly recommend this choice)
