Absolutely worth doing, had it on a Waterskeeter first, then a Outcast 9. I'd bought a 55lbr for a 14ft V-hull, which it scooted along pretty good, got me out of a sudden really bad wind situation one day in Manitoba on an electric only lake, bit of a struggle steering, but, did it. On the pontoon boats it'll almost make a wake, they scoot right along and then some. Want to go to the far end and let wind bring you back--no sweat, other side of the lake, just do it, saves a lot of time and energy that can be spent fishing. I use it on my 10ft pram as well, well worth every cent invested. If you can, move the seat forward to help balance the pontoon boat out, can make a base to let you do that if need be.
