Is there a concern at all regarding the anchor rope rubbing against the float tube/pontoon material?

I'd want a quick release system if there were any kind of wake or waves. I guess that 5lb-er isn't too big of an issue but i'd still be worried about entanglement or capsizing if rough water snuck up on me.

An open-top cam-cleat will give you a locking anchor point that is also quick release in an emergency. Been using them for decades on my canoe, kayak, float tube, pontoon, raft, and all of my other boats under 15 feet. I rig a second one to use for a positioning anchor when it gets too windy and the boat wants to weathervane. They come from the small craft sailing world.
