  • If a typical day out on the lake for you involves a long strenuous kick fighting wind and waves to get back to the takeout, maybe you should try a boat with oars. They’re faster and more efficient, so you can do more fishing and less kicking.
    Rowing is pretty simple, but with a few tricks up your sleeve, you’ll be able to maneuver your boat quickly and efficiently.
    Thanks, Phil Rowley / flycraftangling for putting together this video for us.
    P.S.
    Have you heard about OSG’s sister companies, AIRE Whitewater and AIRE Environmental? AIRE Whitewater produces whitewater boats and equipment, while AIRE Environmental products protect our rivers from pollution.

    Good video! I’m getting my first inflatable pontoon soon really didn’t want to use swim fins to propel myself around.

    if you use the oars you use both oars and it will spin on a dime. Maybe it is an advanced technique but I have done it that way for over 50 years.

    7 ft. Oars on any thing less then 8 ft are of no use. I use 8 ft. On my 10 ft pontoon & works great. Ask a drift boater we know how to row.

    - Long strokes!
    - Row with your body, not only your arms!
    P.S. How long can you stay in that tight position? How long, that is, can your fishing day be?

    how easy is it to use the flippers on a boat like that?

    • @Outcastboats
      @Outcastboats  Рік тому

      Thanks for asking. It's pretty easy since the boat is lightweight and maneuverable. Flippers are mainly used to support turning or steering the craft while fishing. The oars are best for moving long distance or getting places quickly.

      Like you put a seat riser on? And the height didn’t allow you to row that well?
