    How hard is it to remove both stators. Have to do them soon. And you are the closest thing to see them visually out

    if you havent fixed this bike yet need to check your tip over sensor theres only a hand full of things that will cause the 1500/1600s not to spark and from all your videos ive seen thats the one thing you havent checked that i know of but more than likely that could be the cause it cuts off fuel and spark or sometimes just fuel or just spark

      Yeah it was checked...eventually the entire ignition system and all safetys were replaced and still nothing, I beleive it was in the wire harness even though I had pulled it and checked every wire, because running my own wire harness with brand new wires and I get spark now.

    I have an 07 1500 classic and I was in the same boat . Check your starter relay and if that's not the problem check your clutch lever there should be a safety plug make sure it in there all the way

      I've replaced the starter relay with a brand new oem one but I'll check on the clutch...thanks for the assist!

    This may sound bizarre but I have a weird problem with my 02' 1500 Vulcan Nomad where it periodically will not start. If I take an extra spark plug and pull the right rear plug lead to test for spark by grounding the extra plug and turning the engine over, it starts right up. I have no clue what is causing the problem and have replaced about as many parts as you have.

    Could it be a bad connection somewhere, I have a very similar problem with my vn1500 but it does start and run for a few seconds, I've replaced coils and plugs and battery and tested everything else, well good luck.

      Does the bike start? Have you tested your battery? Also Check your ground wires and test your stators and regulators

      Start at the beginning and look at the simple cheap things and go from there...test what you can test ...in most cases it's something simple...check all your connections on your switches and things like that too, a bad connection can stop a bike quick.

      I never did, i litterally replaced every single thing that had to do with the ignition spark ststem and nothing ever gave spark so...im actually about to completely gut and rebuild with another kawasaki I purchased that I know runs but doesn't have a title.

    Mike Kawasaki Vulcan do the same exact thing mines in 96 it has a resistor in the back of the ignition switch my bike would turn over turn over turn over but would not spark or the fuel pump would not turn on it's an anti-theft resistor if the ECU cease 12 volts it will not let the fuel pump and coils turn on

    • @shuttersplainin8728
      @shuttersplainin8728  10 місяців тому

      Yeah I did buy a brand new ECU box which was not cheap at all thinking that was the problem but no change it still not getting spark

      I'm chasing same issue with 02 vulcan 1500 . Could be ignition control module.

    • @shuttersplainin8728
      @shuttersplainin8728  11 місяців тому +1

      @cliffflood7284 truth is it could be I replaced the whole ECU box and all components to the entire ignition system componants and still no spark so pretty sure mine is just screwed somewhere I can't see but I got it in a basket litterally, your was running I'm assuming before it wasn't so get a multimeter and start testing everything and check all fuses first and go from there

    You have a 100 ohm resistor that go,s off the gray wire on your key switch it's anti theft CHECK IT OUT

    1. Acquire a copy of the Vulcan wiring schematic by searching on Google it is available and easy to read.
    2. Use a multi meter to test for a pulsing voltage across the Yellow and Black leads egressing from the ignition Pick Up coil when you crank the engine over with the starter.
    3. Connect a wire from the battery +ve to the red lead(s) of each coil - one =ve will do.
    4. Remove the spark plugs - lay them on the engine so they are grounded and Crank over the engine to see the sparks jumping.
    5. If mo sparks are observed then you Ignition IC is malfunctioning = replace it.
    All the best.

      I replaced the pick up coils after that voltage test failed as shown in this video...they test good now so its not them....
      I've replaced the ignition coils 3 times, last time was with new OEM set...its not them

    Probably save a lot of money if you get somebody who knows what they doing stop changing parts and test the parts before you change.

      I have tested all the parts that can be tested and only changed the ones that tested bad and they have been tested by a mechanic as well -not just me but I appreciate your input- despite its negativity
