    Easy, simple, without problems. Mounting the VT2 on your T-Style guitar is as simple as following this video. A screwdriver and a well-lit workspace will suffice.

    Without knowing how well it works: this is really, really clever. Also, as far as I can understand the two new holes will be covered if reverting back to the standard bridge.

    In April 2024 I ordered a Modern from Next Gen Musical in Nepean, ON before I found out there were two versions, but it fits my MIM Standard Tele just fine.
    My cost was $402.44 CDN, HST included and free shipping. $540 is wishful thinking for the seller.
    I have yet to set it the action and intonation and tension but it looks good. It only does down tune, no pulling up, but I have a Les Paul Tribute with a Duesenberg Les Trem II for that 😀

    I thought these didn't require modification of the guitar? Seems having to drill new holes is a modification...

      Right! They should say with no routing. But drilling two holes is a modification.

    Ok, your original VegaTrem is a fantastic trem. This one not so much. Drilling your Tele is what I would call a major modification to the guitar. Also the bridge in the video looks crooked compared to the pick guard. I would think placement has to be precise on that part of the instal? I hope you come up with an improved version on this as its a cool idea.

    Why do the Spanish instructions for drilling say a 2mm drill bit, and the English ones say 1.5mm?

    Where do you measure to find out if your Tele is classic or modern?

    • @VegaTrem
      @VegaTrem  Рік тому +1

      Classic, 71mm between the string holes to the top screw of the bridge pickup; Modern, 66mm. See attached scheme for each of the products: vegatrem.com/tremolo-shop/

  • @Twangabilly
    @Twangabilly Рік тому +2

    2:27 what about the part where you need to check if everythings’s perfectly positioned to line up with the neck for the strings??
    And to outrightly lie and say no modifications are needed as the main selling point, only to find out you have to drill holes in the guitar?
    I’ll stick to Bigsby and Duesenberg.

    FYI - be careful with which version you order! I have a mexican player telecaster and was advised by vegatrem to order the "modern" version, however it just arrived and doesn't fit (in hindsight i should have just measured the distance). If you have a mexican telecaster you should order the "classic" version.

    Way too expensive for what the final outcome is. I bought one this past weekend and it has to be the worst trem system when it comes to using it while playing. To get the guitar to have decent tuning stability you have to have the springs tightened down to such an extent that you have to exert a lot of force on the arm in order to get any vibrato. Also you can't pull up at all or it goes out of tune. This product should never have been released to market. Way too many flaws.
