Great video! Thank you for posting. This is the first time I've heard of this trem.

For those of you following along on this video, I would like to point out two things. One, I purposely used a tape measure starting at 2 inches for zero. For getting the centerline of a fret, it works better. So, if you noticed what looked like me setting the intonation at 14 3/4, that is actually the correct 12 3/4 from 12th fret Fender scale distance. Anyone, I believe, can install our RTO tremolo on a standard SS Telecaster. It is quite simple and completely reversible. Just follow these tips, make sure you DO put the roller tip string fingers in their correct order. GBE are the same but EAD the rollers are cut at different widths to assure a tight and secure fit for the wound strings.

A tremolo bridge definitely has it's uses, but I have to ask does it not mess with the tuning stability & intonation? The Telecaster in this video is quite beautiful. Though I myself am a Les Paul lover & I'm very proud to say that I own six Les Pauls. Still the people at Fender do know how to saw a plank. Love that Telecaster. Thanks for sharing this video and the information on surface mounted tremolo bridges.

Hi George. The types of tremolos that follow the Fender type that do not have a fixed bridge can affect intonation AND pickup coil sound and output at the outer ends of both directions, stretch and relax or forward and back. Fender design also noticeable because the strings are carried in the backside of the body in the routed-out chamber. Our bridge is fixed so it is as solid as a Tune O Matic Stop tail arrangement. Tune stability on our particular tremolo is so good it works fine on 12 strings. And, unlike Fender type tremolos, bend strings until your fingers turn blue and the mechanism will not lift, which, if it does, takes the power out of your bends. So, we worked hard at eliminating one by one the drawbacks of a tremolo/vibrato bridge. String breakage is also kept at a minimum with our design and at least nine out of 10 guitars we put them on have a better, substantial sound. Doesn't alter the characteristics, perfect examples are Teles with their famous sound; our Trem just makes it sound like you're playing it through a better amp. So, shortened up, the answer to your question is "No", ours does not affect intonation or tune stability. Thanks for your comment and questions!

Hi Ray. It resembles the Washburn Wonderbar in concept, but is it's own patented design.

H that’s an ugly trem system. I thing the Vega Trim system looks a lot better.

Vega Trem has limited backstretch and is not a surface mount design. Apples to oranges.
