I got mine today. Was hesitating a bit to spend that on my DIY Strat because it was more than I spent on all the other parts together but, OMG so smooth and good it is! A bad tremolo can really ruin a guitar, and I love floating tremolos. Expensive but worth the money. Pure quality!

This should probably also include positioning the Vega Trem correctly on to the body -so that the strings paths align correctly with the guitars/necks centerline. This is usually done by comparing the distance from both E-strings; to the fret edges on the highest fret on the fretboard. (Usually with only the E-stringson -and slightly tensioned.) The monting holes on the Vega Trem allows the bridge to be slightly adjusted sideways if needed.

I found the vegatrem install difficult to do on a guitar without existing screws, so I fitted a vintage fender style trem first to intonation, then swapped it for a vegatrem

I'm interested in this, but, I cant find the information on the string spacing? It is vintage, or modern? Also, the saddle adjustment screws look very high above the string level to me. This could make palm muting painful, or impossible. Anyone have info on these? thanks.

I recently installed a VegaTrem on my strat. The VegaTrem is set up properly and works well. I’m using the appropriate springs for tension suggested for 10 gauge strings. The issue I’m having is that when I do string bends with just my fingers and no help from the VegaTrem my bridge moves. I thought that the VegaTrem was supposed to stay flat even during string bends. Should I try using heavier springs for a stiffer resistance to eliminate bridge movement during string bends?

For a two post strat like mine do you guys sell an installation kit. And does it require extra routing and what is the string spacing.

I've just Installed the two point system on my Strat, and it was a breeze. Simply remove the existing system, including the two screws on which it pivoted. Then, install the two screw shanks that come with the Vega, and screw them flat to the base. Next, screw the steel pivot bar to the shanks using the two screws that are supplied, and then proceed as shown in this video. It took me about an hour to install and set mine up, including adjusting string height and intonation.
