      @@EC_123-h8i yes, but it would be in violation of the FD&C act I believe. Essentially, if they make such claims, the product falls under the category of a medication and without going through the usual hoops you have to for FDA approval, then they would get in trouble if reported to the FTC and FDA.
      I'm not sure about the practicing being a doctor without a license charge, could be possible but it might be a bit of a stretch so long as they aren't diagnosing people.

    Hi Hannah! I wanted to leave a comment about the “pouring into” and “plugged into” phrases. These aren’t unique to MLMs. These sayings, and many more, are very frequently used in Christian circles and at larger mega churches. I am a Christian myself, but I cringe at these sayings. “Pouring into” means investing in or mentoring. So someone with an intentional mother or father might say they “really poured into me”. “Plugged in” just means they’re getting involved and invested. Just wanted to add that!
    P.S. not all Christians say these cringey phrases or buy into MLMs. I am about to graduate with my BA in Biblical Studies and I can see the faith manipulation and twisting of Christianity in these “companies”.

      Yes! I just looked up a clip of him discussing this very thing. He said on that video from September 2023 and I quote “ If you tell me, you’re going into an MLM as a part-time job to make extra money I will tell you you’re a fool.” he said 73% of people who go into an MLM lose money. And he said that was a high statistic. This woman irritates me saying she’s coming from Dave Ramsey. This does not sound like what Dave Ramsey would say. I listen to him a lot. In fact, my husband and I are on the baby steps to pay off our house in the next year. And we’ve only owned the house for three.

It is so surprising to me why would huns like him. I haven't seen many of his videos, but he always says do not add to your debt (like opening a new credit card to pay for starter pack is probably not something he'd recommend). "Your car payment is how much?! Sell your fancy car and buy something for $1000 that will take you from A to B" not "Get a fancy car that you can't easily pay off and will probably get you into more debt for nice IG picks"

    • @krystiesolfyre5340
      @krystiesolfyre5340 2 роки тому +9

      It is very disappointing. Especially because it then makes you wonder if it was even done with good intentions, or as a way to use someone’s hard situation to form an emotional bond with a product, their product namely. I experienced something like this when I did a yoga teacher training. My emotions were high as were other students, and I think that can sometimes be used by unethical people to garner something from it, loyalty etc. so sorry, and wishing your family so much health and wellness. Remember good people are out there just as much as these garbage ones.

    As someone who is on an anti-depressant I will say that I do approach my mental wellbeing holistically because I have learned so much more about my mind, body, and triggers. Taking a supplement and assuming it will cure all my woes doesn’t seem very “holistic” in my view. I fell into the wellness world (has its own issues without mlms…) and what was most damaging to me was constantly being pulled in different directions looking for all the answers from others. I feel bad for all the huns in this mlm who are struggling with their mental wellness.

      As someone who was on the ground level of “new & exciting” way to “partner” with my (former) favorite online boutique, the thing I was most upset/frustrated about was how little money I made. I was in another MLM previously, knowing full well that I would never reach the income that friends did. I worked my ass off, got my products covered, & that was enough for me. I had absolutely ZERO intentions of EVER joining any (& another) MLM, but didn’t see the harm in it. I only jumped on the “ground floor” with the boutique because I was consistently getting asked where I had purchased my clothes & saw the possibilities since I was there from the get go. Not only was I nowhere near as successful as I had been with my previous “business”, despite “getting in early”, I quickly saw the boutique change courses & became embarrassed to be “affiliated” with them. I thought about leaving for 10 solid months, even going as far as removing my payment information from the back office so that my monthly website fees could not be deducted only to continue getting sucked back in. I finally saw the light (thanks to Hannah, as well as a few other UA-camrs), planned my exit according to shopping trends, & was prepared. Less than a week later, events took place that I could no longer stomach & I pulled the trigger. There was absolutely no way that I could stomach the thought of being connected to them in any way.
      Apologies for the novel…I guess I should’ve emailed this in as a Horror Story 🤦🏼‍♀️, but all this to say, I am already so saddened at the thought of so many women thinking they are striking GOLD by “getting in on the ground floor”.

Dave would absolutely not recommend anyone join an MLM because he is smart enough to see them for what they are, a scam. He does tell people to find ways to earn more to pay off debt but his suggestions are: deliver pizza, sell things you no longer use, babysit, talk to your boss about a raise. He would NEVER recommend joining an MLM much less putting it on a CC. Also, as someone who has struggled with depression in the past this company disgusts me. Sadly, one day soon we are going to hear about someone killing themselves because they stopped taking there meds & took this snake oil instead.
