Pawn every item in your house. Live on the floor. NO! Stop renting! Live in your car! Have you ever seen successful people have a home? NO! Stop eating and drinking. Just trade forever.
Ugh, my ex-husband and I were deep in the Amway cult in the 90's when my Grandpa died. I got the news when we were on the way to a meeting with our upline Diamond, who we were conditioned to revere as almost godlike. I was a mess, and couldn't go into the meeting, and my ex refused to take me to my parents' house (because he didn't want to be late to the meeting) so I sat in the car crying in the driveway of the house. Later, after the meeting was over and most people had left, I went into the house to use the bathroom. Said godlike Diamond told me "We had a good meeting tonight, it's unfortunate you weren't here for it." Not "Is there anything we can do for you?" Not "I'm sorry for your loss." Not even any "Thoughts and Prayers" Just shame for missing the meeting. Anyone who says these aren't cults are fooling themselves.
Whaaaaaatttttt!?!?!? You weren't checking emails and on your phone every second of your vacation???? You are definitely NOT serious about your business!!😅🤣😂
Someone tried to get me into an MLM and I literally told them “I’m a single mom and have NO money to join” and her response was exactly that “what can you sell?” “Can you just open a credit card?” And also “why don’t you ask your parents for the money?” So rude and disgusting.
That first Limelife girl could be an asset at a real job. She’s goal oriented and organized. It’s sad she’s wasting her time in an MLM for a fraction of what she could earn in a real job. Zeke’s adorable with his affectionate meows. He obviously missed you.
I agree! Wow, she is so organized! May she move on to a sustainable position at a company sooner than later...and working a lot less (more like 8 hours a day, M-F) for more reliable, realistic and well-deserved income. ❤️
Agreed. I'm envious of her drive and passion, I could really use some of that in my life. But I am glad I'm able to focus on what's realistic so that I don't get sucked into things like this.
I saw a tweet the other day: "Crypto is an MLM for people thinking they're too smart to fall for an MLM." However, this new one really hammers it home that they're the same. There's no hiding it anymore.
One of my lecturers was into crypto and in my study group of 6 people she already recruited 3 people...I swear African "elites" pretend to be so educated....the 3 were all dudes...I was the only girl in the study group...and the lecturer a girl who clearly our age mate managed to swindle them...
To touch on the infertility health claim, I was out with a dear friend who has adopted several children. A "friend" of hers stopped by our table to chat and proceeded to insult my friends "not real children". My friend is sweet and gentle. When this woman made my friend cry after bringing up her infertility and trying to sell her oils, she was not ready for me. My friend and I are polar opposites and feminist is my second favorite eff word. And that MLM hun was not ready for the pure venom out of my mouth. Thankfully, my friend was just glad I didn't try to fight her. She's good people and knows me well.
@@LA-mz1dd You might be the first person to tell me I have restraint outside of a professional capacity. But those kids of hers? They are my family. Ride or die all the way.
My mom would of spit venom with you. My mom was infertile for a long time. She absolutely loves kids and so she adopted 6 of us...I'm one of the adopted. As passive as I am, I'd smack that lady! Because adoption is a beautiful thing and the kids are most definitely her children. I'm angry now.
Oh my goodness, that first woman. I worked in non-profit organizations for a very long time and she is exactly the kind of person that would be so successful as a head of marketing or managing donor relationships. Think of all the good she could do! All with weekends off, paid time off, and benefits!
This is why the US needs worker rights. People like her won't get hired because they need to pick their kids up from school or have other caring duties that corporations and non profits don't care about. Lack of workers rights push people into unstable work like mlms
Thee first videos, the $18K does not subtract taxes, product purchased and other expenses to run "her business" All with no health insurance or an other benefits. What a mess,
I was in Amway in the 90s and remembered my motivational group shaming us if we had a tv and weren't at the level in the business we wanted to be or if we expressed any financial concern about buying tickets to events or their monthly audio tape and motivational book club. They encouraged us to sell anything for entertainment to buy the "necessary items" for us to succeed being that we hadn't met our goals so we shouldn't have time for entertainment. (The time you spent watching tv would be better used finding random strangers to join your business)
I wouldn’t laugh at this woman for not meeting her targets. I’d sit her down and tell her: I have worked in fast food, and then retail, for 17 years. I’m used to hourly, daily, weekly, monthly targets. I’m also used to analysing why we didn’t meet those targets, what changes we can make to try and increase sales. But the truth is that retail was dying before the pandemic and it’s limping on badly now, not helped by a bunch of supply issues (Brexit import/export rules, lockdowns in source countries, the Suez Canal block - yes it’s still having an effect, the war in Ukraine, source companies going bust and looking for new suppliers) and she is absolutely right to be so proud that she got so close to her targets with her sheer determination. I just wish she could use this drive and efficiency for her own business, and not an MLM
All of this! I worked in retail for about 15 years, ending in early 2019 when the last store I worked at went bankrupt. It became harder and harder, with corporate expecting more to get done while cutting labor hours. I’m very glad I got out before the pandemic because even though there were always awful customers it seemed like it got a lot worse when service industry workers were stuck trying to enforce public health orders.
It just occurred to me; they aren't fitting their business into pockets of time around their life and family, they are fitting their family into pockets of time around their business. So sad.
The scariest part of the mother who's child pour the hot wax on his/her face was how you clearly see that the wax came in contact with the child's EYES! What if the wax got into the child's eyes, would that mother still go on about how safe it is? That gave me chills.
Exactly. Also, the not crying argument is actually not an argument. The reflexes might not be developed yet. Me and a couple of my friends have put hands on hot stoves and oven doors and not taken them away (granted, I did cry, but I still just kept standin there, leaning on the hot oven door)
Maybe it's just me...but "this oil has 101 different uses!" would honestly scare me away from a product, not draw me in lol. Like there's no way one oil has that many uses, and anyone claiming such sounds prettttttty sketch to me :P
Another great one. It erks me to hear these stories of lies and deception. If they only told the truth... Keep up the good work Hannah. You're a good person making an honest living 😊😇😎
That was a very strange strategy from the "sell your tv" gal. Being condescending to your audience, telling them if they can't afford $1,500 they have a problem, probably isn't going to work. I'm also not sure who she is pitching to. People who can easily afford $1,500 aren't interested in your crappy MLM. People who can't afford 1,500...well, they can't afford it! So who are you pitching to, my dude?
What about the $100 package??? Not a peep from her about the cheaper option where she would have made $25. She just came off as entitled and aggressive. Not a great sales person.
I had a job but needed something else and a roommate once told me that if I really cared that I would be out the very next day looking for a job and putting in applications. The next day was Christmas. And I’m sorry but being from the service industry in LA I knew how roasted I would be and no one would be accepting my apps. Not to mention most places say that they only take apps Tuesday and Thursdays(at least at the time). I don’t know why narcissistic condescending people think those kind of suggestions will work but it’s an awful way to be.
The first story was giving me some really strong flashbacks to being an LDS missionary and having a whiteboard where we'd write down goals for how many people we wanted to meet, Book of Mormons we'd give out, how many lessons we wanted to teach, how many people would come to church with us, and how many we'd eventually baptize each week/month. It never sat right with me to reduce these people we were meeting down to numbers, and seeing MLMers using similar goal-setting methods that reduce people to numbers is so icky.
It's not just the LDS. I was raised pentecostal and, swap out the Book of Mormon for tracts saying you are going to hell and yup...exactly the same otherwise.
There’s another Cancer Mom that Monat sunk their teeth into. She was a hairdresser when her son was diagnosed and then joined Monat to be with her son. I followed his journey from the beginning and sadly he passed away last month. The week he passed she posted on a story about a zoom call where I’m sure they were love bombing her. It breaks my heart that during the worst time of her life, Monat took advantage of her vulnerability.
The parents with children that pass away get me the most emotional. One day they will wake up from the MLM and wish they spent more time with their child. It is truly heartbreaking because they will never get a do-over.
I truly feel like many people aren’t even consciously being manipulative, but that they’re in so deep that everything just naturally comes back to their MLM. It’s scary.
Young Living is present in France. They own their own farm their and distillery. Maybe you should check it out! Being a doctor, you should know plants have therapeutic properties and putting them into a form which we are able to use that is safe, is helpful. Western medicine is not the only option out there.
@@bluewillow91read the room babes… I’m the daughter of a holistic naturopath MD. Alternative medicine is amazing and saves lives and cures the incurable. But essential oils does not equal alternative medicine. They can be used for aromatherapy but anyone who suggests to INGEST an essential oil is a sick person who has no care about the human body or health. Just selling more oil quicker… ur on an anti MLM page. This isn’t the place to defend the ass backwards companies discussed in the video. There’s better oils with no additional mark up at ur local health food store ppl!!
@@Rechtauch im sorry my french is terrible (i may have a french last name but its the only hint that my ancestors ever lived outside the US) anyway i think the problem in america stems from healthcare being so inaccessible, which gives credibility to like you said, conspiracy theories and antivax. I dont think many of us actually believe in the "american dream" or the "self made man".
it's really sad to see the first rep not get compensated for her hard work and time. The level of organization and drive she has would get her SO FAR in an actual business or job... and to think there's SO MANY people under her that are making even less and are probably working just as hard!
Bingo! You nailed it! One of the major unspoken problems with this model is the wasted time energy knowledge skills and experience that could otherwise be applied to improving the value of an individual‘s life, or her family‘s life, and of the economy as a whole!
I always find myself saying this. They seem to say the same thing and tow the same line-with a strange sometimes frantic energy. If they only turned that passion to things that will ACTUALLY effect real change. 😔
Yes!! I was in MLM for 5 months and I still regret it. Looking back I wasted so much time and energy, constantly trying to achieve targets and please my uplines while battling with depression and anxiety. For 5 months I could worked on myself and my mental health, instead they told me that the solution is to work, work, and work your ass for MLM so you can forget about your problems, and oh yeah don't forget to attend this expensive seminar!! So glad I quit.
Half the time, people in MLMs are trying to convince other people in their MLM how great their job is. That. Is. Just. Weird. Imagine if my boss, popped into my lab every day to tell me how great my job is, and what a great opportunity this is. I LOVE my job, but I would be weirded out by that 😂
I work with an optometrist who specializes in concussion management and people severely underestimate how bad a concussion can be. It’s horrifying that someone would recommend oils and not the hospital.
I'm a paramedic and having pupils of differing sizes after an accidental is an EXTREMELY concerning sign pre hospital. It's frequently indicative of a brain bleed which can quickly kill you or leave you with permanent damage.
I had a concussion that almost bisected an artery. A slow bleed kept causing vertigo. But next time, I'll just put oils on it. 😂😂😂 You are right... that should sound insane to normal people. Thank you for reminding people what true medical professionals would say.
Yup. That pisses me off as an infertile woman. I went through years of people giving me false hope like, just relax and it will happen, here wear this fertility ring from China, you need to eat healthier to get pregnant. How dare this girl say all I need is oils to get pregnant. Thankfully we were able to adopt a boy and then a girl. I can tell you that oils had nothing to do wit just it. I do not like this girl at all, but you I think we shall keep! 💗
It makes me happy to see parents who adopt. I'm bias because I'm an adopted kid and I have 5 adopted siblings and we are all extremely close knit, despite all looking different. Also a big mama's girl...even though people enjoy saying she's not my "real" mom. 🙄 she raised me , loves me and showed me how to be a good person. So yes she is my mama.
As a woman who struggled with infertility and essential oils and eating better DID help me get pregnant, how dare you disregard that. And how hateful to be unsupportive of other women and their fertility/infertility journey.
@@bluewillow91 I'm going to say your diet probably helped significantly more than the oils. That being said, I have known since I was 20 that I would never be able to have children. I got lucky at 35 and my pregnancy finally stuck. We were not trying, because trying would mean yet another miscarriage for me. I couldn't go through that again. It really was luck. Congrats on your pregnancy. Your child is very lucky to have you as a Mama.
Also, Clary Sage is SPECIFICALLY contraindicated in pregnancy. Any time before full term. BECAUSE it can cause uterine contractions. If used in the first trimester is can cause miscarriage. The mere thought that anyone already struggling with infertility is being told to use this is just dangerous and totally immoral. How dare that woman.
I was SO sick during during the first half of my pregnancy that the only thing I wanted to eat/could keep down was Malt-O-Meal Tootie Frooties. Yes, it had to be Malt-O-Meal, and I had always thought they were NASTY before my pregnancy. So, my son is at least 75% Tootie Frooties. No one in the family will willingly eat them to this day almost 11 years later. Pregnancy is a wild ride. 🤣
Same, but Starbucks blueberry muffins. My local Starbucks would order an extra pack of them (yes, the ones they are delivered in. I think it held like 10 or so) and hide them just for me. I would get them like every other day. It was the only thing that sounded remotely good to me. Then, they changed their supplier and I got morning sickness after eating the new ones. Never had one, again.
I've seen both of your "reading mean comments" videos and there were criticisms about your editing. I only agree with that to the extent that 👏I👏DEMAND👏RAW👏UNEDITED👏UNADULTERADED👏FOOTAGE👏OF👏ZEKE. Seriously tho, I love your content! Keep up the great work!
All I’m taking away from the whole “selling 4 rejuvenique oils can make you more money than working 9 hours” argument is that rejuveniqe is too expensive🤷🏻♀️
"this job gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my kids" she says, as their grandfather just died and was buried the morning prior and she is, in fact, not with them
The story of the rep burying her dad is heartbreaking. My mother in law passed away last summer in a car accident. My husband found out at work and his boss immediately told him to go home and be with family. We left and stayed at his parents house for a week as we grieved through the funeral. My husband never had to stress about work. They took over his projects so he could be present.
Same when my brother in law was killed in a car crash leaving my sister with three kids. I took a week to be with my sister and drive her around because she had no car.. My boss and his wife even came to the funeral.
Another interesting thing is that the first lady’s “lifetime rank” is Executive Director while her current one is Senior Director, which means she made enough to be on that higher rank but wasn’t able to maintain it 🤔
I was in a head on car accident a few years ago, and I suffered a moderate to severe concussion. I still suffer from side effects from it, and I'm just blown away by the thought someone could use it as a way to shill their MLM products. Concussions are no joke and a bad enough one can cause lasting effects and can even be fatal if it's bad enough and not properly taken care of at a hospital or doctor. These huns seruoisly have no limits.
As someone who is a product designer, marketer, and business manager for multiple businesses I urge people to learn the difference between motion and work. MLMs have you in a constant state of doing motions but it's on a stationary bike. You are not going anywhere and there are so many better ways to make money, please do not crawl into the comfort of a pre-existing brand, if you do you might as well just get a job with a brand that actually pays. You're putting in the effort of a startup, without the long term benefit. You'll meet lots of friends as any other kind of business too.
Clip 5 - I was totally going to join her team but I don’t own a TV. Darn it! Guess I’m just out of luck. 🤣 Clip 6 - ok, that is seriously the saddest thing I have ever seen. If this doesn’t prove these companies are cults I don’t know what could. My heart breaks for this woman & I pray she wakes up soon and realizes she is allowing her life to be robbed from her.
I'm not selling my tv who'll be my daughter's childminder. I had a days paid leave to attend my grandmother funeral, I never thought of my employer or need to go on insta live to praise them that day.
it is absolutely a recruitment tactic to elude that there are only a few spots at a time. I was, unfortunately, in Amway for a short time and they would have us say something like "I'm working with a X successful person that MAY be interested in working with you." or "If you're available to come to this session to learn more, I'll find out if there's an available seat for you" and made it clear to us that it was intentional to make it seem exclusive and hard to get into.
My cat (in my profile pic) walked in just as Zeke started meowing in your room so for a moment there I didn't know if it was your fur baby or mine being clingy lol
Don't throw away your last dime chasing a dollar. What does she expect people to do when they get hit with the monthly renewal fees for iGenius? Sell their couch, bed, computer... when will it end.
Ooof and if they sell their computer how will they log into the desktop version of their training software...? Oh wait, it's not about the product is it?
Honestly she seems like an insanely hard worker. It genuinely makes me sad to see this. I even said to my husband “can you imagine what she could do if she worked this hard at her own business? Or hell even a real job!” Haha we listen while we get our nightly chores done around the house :) This is really sad though because she does seem to care and to work hard but it’s not gonna pay off at all. This is just sad ! I hope something changes for her. I really wish her luck in life (just not in the mlm) Edit - oh my god do they not know how ridiculous they look when they say “I only accept ‘blank’ ammount of girls” We all know it’s not true !! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
All this “pushing through” will catch up with them one day. There’s a saying that’s something like if you don’t consciously take rests your body will make you and I believe it’s the same for mental and emotional health
Ok the girl putting the oil on her hair (the one with “101 uses”) then puts it in a bun, and immediately claps a hat on. This hairstyle for me is the classic “i havent had time to wash or style my hair so im temprarily covering it with a bun and hat”. If the oil does such great things for your hair, why do you have to cover it up? Sometimes i do use oil, but always as a finishing touch to tame frizz on a finished hairstyle. If i have to do a bun and hat, it means my hair is already too oily!
(Scentsy) that’s exactly why I never bought one of those when my kids were babies. A cord connected to melted wax! The human danger as well as tremendous mess!!
As someone who’s struggled with infertility for 4 years I was so desperate I literally would have tried ANYTHING and the fact that people prey on that for monetary gain is fucking SICK 😡
I agree. My husband and I have tried for 10 years. And Young Living promotes a bottle of something called Progessence Plus that reps tout as promoting pregnancy by supporting your hormones. Any time a woman got pregnant while using it, she would post a photo of the oil and state it was all due to that "powerful little bottle". Meanwhile, most of these women did not have fertility issues. I tried it for several months and it did nothing for me. So.... 🤦♀️🤷♀️
I know so many people that struggle with infertility, and the YL one is just heart breaking to me. They would all give anything to be able to be pregnant and to find that magic “thing” that will allow them to become pregnant without struggling. Tips given by anyone not a medical professional just makes a lot of them feel like it’s their fault when it absolutely isn’t.
I have never been in an MLM, but I did practice law for 11 years. I have been binge watching your videos because they all resonate with the practice of law. I actually took a deprogramming class to escape practicing law.
I think you might be interested in a video on the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover UA-cam channel that has to do with cults, as the dean of the school at the time made mention of how the culture at a law firm can be cult-like, and that it can make people behave in ways they wouldn't otherwise.
Wait wait wth!!!! Sure, accidents definitely happen, I have 2 kids and wild accidents happen all the time BUT she took a photo of her child with the wax all over her face?! Absolutely not. I am passing judgement, sorry. She should’ve immediately started getting that wax off that baby’s sensitive skin but instead immediately thought “oh let me get a picture of this so I can post about it” before helping her little one. The wax was even on her eyelids, poor baby😢 Sure it’s a safer alternative to candles but it’s still hot, still has chemicals and still is NOT ok if it gets into the eyes! Mlm’s distort peoples thought process I swear.
WOW HANNAH!!!!!🙌🏼🤯😍 This video was SO GREAT!!!!! LOTS of valid points made in here too!!!!! Me as a mother, it breaks my heart to see those kids like actually shaking their head to their mom asking if they want her off her phone... that just shows how this world is and how far these MLM reps are buried in their screens and not their babies lifes.... MLMS make me sick for preying on mothers.... This has happened to me many occasions!!!!! Then to have the essential oil fertility little deal.... UHM. NO MAAM!!!! 🤢😡🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ Thank you for what you do Hannah!!!!! Much Love!!!!❤❤❤❤
@@krisdiane it really feels and sounds like she's so far removed from it. like i know people grieve in different ways but she talks so casually about it and uses it to push her business and it sounds so cold.
I am a recent subscriber and you have quickly become one of my favorite UA-camrs! You have such a good head on your shoulders and I can tell you truly care about the people you talk about. Your videos are easy to understand and I have learned a lot about a subject I thought I knew pretty thoroughly. Keep fighting the good fight!
Yep you got that right in every single MLM I was in we always had one of our coaches or trainers telling us that we need to act like there are only a few spots available because then people are more interested because they feel like they are about to miss out on something and it's not just that one alone it's multiple mlms they would write up posts for us to copy and paste that say something like "hey girls I'm looking for two to three people who are driven and want to succeed" they would also want us to join different groups so because I am a mother they wanted me to join a bunch of mom groups so that I could pitch to these moms or if you're into gardening they want you to join those groups and just put out a status that hey "thank you for accepting me to the group my name is blah blah blah and this is what I do for a living blah blah blah" it was really scummy some of the things we were to say just like how every 20th of the month we were told to go and get those moms because they got their child tax today and we need to sell these "opportunities" it's so sad that these companies pray on people with fomo because it is an actual thing that a lot of people suffer with and they become so vulnerable to it that they will be willing to pay $250 for a join opportunity
I can say this if you sign up for free to do food delivery and work 9 hours you will make more than $135 for the day. You can make more than her and she's paying to be a spokesperson for an MLM. Personally, I don't give any of these app based companies more than 8 hrs a day. My work schedule is 4.5 days a week doing 4-7 hrs per day and I go home. I don't work 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week because burn out is real. I tell people I meet that are new to food delivery. Find out what your neccesary take home is, select your days and keep to 40hrs or less. I learned this over the 5 years I've been a delivery driver for these apps. MLMs are pretty much no different except they don't pay well at all. I've been happier working less and making more.
I'm sorry for the loss of the one leader of her dad, but that was disgusting to use that for the MLM. When my dad died, I was barely functional. I didn't want to be around anyone, much less to show up to a MLM event.
Yay for the playlist getting over the 100 video mark, woohoo! Can't wait. Side note, you need to watch Chelsea's new video. There's raw chicken. It's bad.
This comment section is so awesome!!!! I love this little corner that Hannah has created for us over here!!!! It gets better and better!!!!! Bravo!!!!!
It’s for sure hard to see people spend so much energy in mlms, especially working overtime etc. not only could they be paid for working extra hours, but imagine if they had a job that ended at 5pm and then they could go out volunteering some evenings / really use their time to make a difference in their community. It’s often good people, that get scammed. I hope one day these people will see that their time is so valuable, not just to them personally but potentially to others too.
5:37 for the $7.25 minimum wage in PA (second lowest in the US), if you work 40 hrs a week for 52 weeks you make $15,000 a year before taxes… and I was making $10/hr at Dunkin when I was in high school… as a 17 year old I would have been making more than her if I worked full time
The whole point of it helping infertility makes me sick!! As someone who can't conceive that is just pathetic!! Thank you Hannah so much for all that you do!!
I know everyone deals with grief differently but when my mom died I SOBBED for multiple days non stop. My work gave me a paid week off. I couldn’t imagine going somewhere after her funeral and using her death to try to push a failing business. Unbelievable.
My dad died earlier this year and I choked up every time I talked about it for weeks afterward. Being able to say, with no inflection, oh, I buried my dad today, he supported me in this business so much... it's creepy. And sad what these commercial cults do to people and their natural emotions.
When I was going through my cancer treatments, I was trying to fight the urge to un-alive myself. Using this to promote an MLM is very offensive and insulting…. Especially since it’s her kid. Friggin sick.
Congrats on getting through your cancer treatments. Just know a lot of people are still very much happy that you are still here. You are worthy of this life and I hope you’re happy and enjoying it to the fullest of your abilities. And yes, it’s absolutely gross that a mother would use her child’s cancer to push her MLM.
It's been a stressful week so far, I'm sitting in my bed surrounded by cats watching you and the icing on the cake, is Zeke! 😊 Kitties always make the world better!
Love the kitty cameo. The infertility oil giveaway really upsets me. How dare they pray on women who are at a very hard and emotional point in their life! No oil is ever going to help you get pregnant. (I'm a little overly sensitive to people using infertility as a sales pitch)
Essential oils DID help me get pregnant. When it was the ONLY difference I made in my regime and life. Plants have tons of therapeutic properties. How dare you say it didn’t help my infertility and being unsupportive of other women’s fertility/infertility journey. I personally do not use it as a sales pitch because it is a sensitive subject but I do share with family, friends, etc. and that’s just conversation 🤍
The desperation. Sell your, clothes, shoes, TV so I can get the bonus checks! I wouldn't be surprised if they start telling us to sell our cars, house, and pull from our savings acct 🙄 Btw, these mlm episodes are my new binge worthy videos while I work. Thanks Hannah! 😁❤
Being someone that woke up from a coma to find out my mom was gone and buried (wreck), the women the using their parents passing make me physically sick!
@@nicollevelez8149 thank you! ❤ Mental scars are the hardest to heal. MLMs are so predatory. Just when I think they have gone as low as they can go, they never miss a chance to go lower.
Love your work Hannah! I was astonished to see that poor baby with wax on its head! 😳 as your said, not judging the accident but judging the urge to pitch an MLM while the child has got wax on it’s face! Ugh-there are no limits to what these people will do for a sale-thanks always Hannah, I look forward to every video you put out there 😍
Spots in mlms are so old. My first exposure to anti-mlm was Elle's poonique blog and she talks about spots being one of the tactics used to recruit her.
I found your channel earlier today and have been binge watching your videos while folding laundry. The reason why I chose to subscribe was because not only is this incredibly informative and you express these ideas in a very articulate way, but you do it in an extremely empathetic way. 🥰
I'll never forget the one time I had a horrible concussion. I was stuck in the hospital for 2 days and then spent the next week out of school and work. I couldn't keep anything down either except small ice chunks.
It’s honestly SO heartbreaking to see these women breaking their backs, spending hours upon hours, and throwing all of their determination into these businesses when in the end, it will barely bring them any actual return on the time they’re investing.
That's how I got into YL - I was going through infertility and looking to reduce the toxic load in my house (as suggested by my doctor) and that's how they got me in - with the cleaning products....interestingly I got told to buy a starter bundle with the 11 oils rather than the cleaning products alone (because at the time they didn't have a cleaning bundle like they do now!) and I ended up doing the biz for 2 years . Glad I'm out!
So I love your videos, I've binged basically all the antiMLM stuff over the past month or two, and the way you give people an anonymous platform to share their stories is especially wonderful. (Also, the cats are adorable.) Thank you for all the work you put into this. I just wish you'd stop using the word "girls" to refer to fully grown adults! It's one thing when you're quoting someone else...but the reason it comes up in so many quotes from MLM people is, it's part of a strategy to make their victims feel "you're small, you're dependent, you need our support and guidance, there's no way you'd make it if you leave." The rest of us don't have to play into that idea. These are adult women, they deserve to be treated like it.
I'm commenting while I watch. Someone I was recently watching said they knew someone that responded to one of those spots posts saying "Dang I was the 4th" then the hun backpeddled and was like "oh don't worry, we can make room!" Haha! So funny 😁 😂
I already posted a comment but should have waited until the end, but any way. Hannah I applaud you for staying so well poised when commenting on these mlm fails, I am sitting here and just boiling from the inside. I should just sit down and write my mlm horror story and send it to you, but for now I will comment in regards to these mlm fails. As an aromatherapist, I was taught to always tell clients never to consume these oils, always seek medical attention first. Aromatherapy is meant to be supportive, for example helping clients find relieve from arthritis symptoms (stiff joints etc) (blended appropriately with a carrier oil )as a natural alternative to over the counter ointments etc, but it is never advised as the only treatment instead of medical treatment from your doctor/specialist. It is companies like this that makes my job very difficult ( I am a fitness professional too, so the Beachbody huns are a nightmare for this industry) I feel very sorry for all these women, because like I mentioned I have my own horror stories as well, but thanks to great content like yours and the other anti boss babe creators out there hopefully more people will become educated and avoid falling into these money sucking, 🐂🐂lying cultish companies. Thanks again for educating people, I wish channels like yours was around when I got sucked in years ago. Have a fabulous day everyone.
Clip 10 literally almost made me cry because in one of my 'Mom of twins' groups of FB one of the moms just recently posted a story about how her baby somehow INHALED candle wax into his lungs and that he was (and probably still is) on a ventilator in the ICU because they cannot find a doctor that knows how to treat him. It's one of the saddest things I've ever seen happen in any of my mom groups and I'm thankful that the baby featured in this clip was not harmed in any way.
I work a corporate job for an extremely large company, so large they have two corporate campus's. I could easily been seen as a small time nobody in the company. I get 4 weeks paid PTO time a year to use however I wish. On top of that I can work remotely anytime I need. and On top of all of that, If my child had cancer, I could go on a long or short term medical leave to be with my child, no questions asked, no mention of "you better work from the hospital. Heck, my step kid has a hockey game at 9:30 tomorrow am (a weekday morning) and my bosses exact words were "family memories are more important, make up the hours whenever you can, enjoy the game". I truly don't understand the 'MLM Flex" of their more than terrible "benefits".
Pawn every item in your house. Live on the floor. NO! Stop renting! Live in your car! Have you ever seen successful people have a home? NO! Stop eating and drinking. Just trade forever.
😂😂😂😂😂so funny
Despicable display of cold-hearted self-serving. I’m so sorry for your loss. 🥰
I am so sorry! What a gut punch!
Im sorry that happened to you! Glad he's your ex and you got out of Amway.
Wow. That is disgusting. I'm so sorry you went through that.
Well, I can say one good thing about that ex: He's an ex.
Whaaaaaatttttt!?!?!? You weren't checking emails and on your phone every second of your vacation???? You are definitely NOT serious about your business!!😅🤣😂
The AUDACITY! Does she not realize that $1500 is a month's worth of rent for some people? Putting it on a credit card is THE WORST advice!!!
Shit, that's 2 months rent for me, and I struggle to make my rent every month while working and in college. There's no way I'm spending it on an MLM
I was stunned to see that she only told her audience about the $1500 option. What about the $100 package???? Greedy bitch.
That woman was so disgustingly predatory, my blood is BOILING
This woman made me so mad. She’s smart enough to learn a second language fluently she’s smart enough to know what she is doing is wrong wrong wrong.
Someone tried to get me into an MLM and I literally told them “I’m a single mom and have NO money to join” and her response was exactly that “what can you sell?” “Can you just open a credit card?” And also “why don’t you ask your parents for the money?” So rude and disgusting.
🤯 wow that’s crazy!!!
That first Limelife girl could be an asset at a real job. She’s goal oriented and organized. It’s sad she’s wasting her time in an MLM for a fraction of what she could earn in a real job.
Zeke’s adorable with his affectionate meows. He obviously missed you.
She could run a business of her own without issue. It's sad she is waiting her time
I agree! Wow, she is so organized! May she move on to a sustainable position at a company sooner than later...and working a lot less (more like 8 hours a day, M-F) for more reliable, realistic and well-deserved income. ❤️
This is exactly what I thought! She looks like she would be naturally inclined to be a project manager one day or start her own legit business.
Exactly
Agreed. I'm envious of her drive and passion, I could really use some of that in my life. But I am glad I'm able to focus on what's realistic so that I don't get sucked into things like this.
Who's used TV can sell for $1500? Who's NEW TV cost $1500? WTF?!? 🤯👀😵

That is exactly what I was thinking. If your used TV is worth $1500, I’m sure you don’t need whatever it is she is selling.
@@SlippyMcKnot8472even if it is, you are not going to be able to sell it for much at all
I saw a tweet the other day: "Crypto is an MLM for people thinking they're too smart to fall for an MLM."
However, this new one really hammers it home that they're the same.
Glad that you were there to stand up for her! Yikes these Huns really don’t have any self-awareness, do they?
Damn, As an adoptee, I would have slapped the oil off her face...you have restraint and I'm so glad you were there to stand up for her!
She's lucky to have you as a friend.
Oh my goodness, that first woman. I worked in non-profit organizations for a very long time and she is exactly the kind of person that would be so successful as a head of marketing or managing donor relationships. Think of all the good she could do! All with weekends off, paid time off, and benefits!
Hope she gets to see all these positive comments about her!
What a mess,
Sell my tv? I have a new 65” tv. It cost less than $600. How is that magically going to turn into $1500?
I was in Amway in the 90s and remembered my motivational group shaming us if we had a tv and weren't at the level in the business we wanted to be or if we expressed any financial concern about buying tickets to events or their monthly audio tape and motivational book club. They encouraged us to sell anything for entertainment to buy the "necessary items" for us to succeed being that we hadn't met our goals so we shouldn't have time for entertainment. (The time you spent watching tv would be better used finding random strangers to join your business)
I wouldn’t laugh at this woman for not meeting her targets. I’d sit her down and tell her:
I have worked in fast food, and then retail, for 17 years.
If a 9-to-5 job expected you to work through funerals/deaths, these same people would be outraged. The hypocrisy!
Maybe it's just me...but "this oil has 101 different uses!" would honestly scare me away from a product, not draw me in lol. Like there's no way one oil has that many uses, and anyone claiming such sounds prettttttty sketch to me :P
I always thought the point of the oil was for them to be able to say that their hair looks crazy because they're doing an oil treatment.
plus, apparently it made her hair so SPECTACULAR that she immediately covered it with a hat. *insert eyeroll*
Same for me.
Her hair was so oily after her speech it looked wet
Another great one. It erks me to hear these stories of lies and deception. If they only told the truth...
Keep up the good work Hannah. You're a good person making an honest living 😊😇😎
That was a very strange strategy from the "sell your tv" gal. Being condescending to your audience, telling them if they can't afford $1,500 they have a problem, probably isn't going to work. I'm also not sure who she is pitching to. People who can easily afford $1,500 aren't interested in your crappy MLM. People who can't afford 1,500...well, they can't afford it! So who are you pitching to, my dude?
Or telling people to just put it on your credit card like you would for something else.
Yup. This checks out.
It is truly heartbreaking because they will never get a do-over.
...My medicated shampoo isn't $7...My ENTIRE hair care routine is less than $7 a month.
Goals
I truly feel like many people aren’t even consciously being manipulative, but that they’re in so deep that everything just naturally comes back to their MLM. It’s scary.
So I'm from France and I am a doctor ; Young Living is not very present here but these health claims drive me CRAZY. It's so dumb and dangerous !
Young Living is present in France. They own their own farm their and distillery. Maybe you should check it out!
Being a doctor, you should know plants have therapeutic properties and putting them into a form which we are able to use that is safe, is helpful. Western medicine is not the only option out there.

it's really sad to see the first rep not get compensated for her hard work and time.
And the fact that they are exploiting the female empowerment movement makes them even more reprehensible.
Zeke’s clingyness + meows😭🥰
Half the time, people in MLMs are trying to convince other people in their MLM how great their job is. That. Is. Just. Weird. Imagine if my boss, popped into my lab every day to tell me how great my job is, and what a great opportunity this is. I LOVE my job, but I would be weirded out by that 😂
I work with an optometrist who specializes in concussion management and people severely underestimate how bad a concussion can be. It’s horrifying that someone would recommend oils and not the hospital.
I'm concerned that she's able to apply anything directly to the "brain stem". Sounds like a bit more than a concussion if that's exposed... 😅 😬
If there’s one organ you should care about, it’s your BRAIN
Congratulations on your family :)
I couldn't eat chocolate! And it was cream of wheat and lucky charms!
I love that 😂❤

Another interesting thing is that the first lady’s “lifetime rank” is Executive Director while her current one is Senior Director, which means she made enough to be on that higher rank but wasn’t able to maintain it 🤔
i noticed that too but didn't know what it meant! that's insane 😳

Monet reps need to hear about Suave, lol. Low cost and works perfectly and as far as I know, the company isn't involved in a lawsuit.
Wise words.
Clip 5 - I was totally going to join her team but I don’t own a TV. Darn it! Guess I’m just out of luck. 🤣
Clip 6 - ok, that is seriously the saddest thing I have ever seen.

I can’t decide if I like the horror stories, top fails, or deep dives more. You nail all of them.
Glad you had a great trip!
MLM's are so hilarious. They always sell it as if its the ONLY option to making an income.
“Have you ever heard of an income before? I just invented it!”
Concussions are so extremely serious and this is truly disgusting behaviour.
Or hell even a real job!” Haha we listen while we get our nightly chores done around the house :)
This is really sad though because she does seem to care and to work hard but it’s not gonna pay off at all. This is just sad ! I hope something changes for her. I really wish her luck in life (just not in the mlm)

All this “pushing through” will catch up with them one day. There’s a saying that’s something like if you don’t consciously take rests your body will make you and I believe it’s the same for mental and emotional health
I’m watching this while on a public bus. The “sell your stuff” lady got me shaking my head so hard I’m legit dizzy
So.... 🤦♀️🤷♀️
Zeke the eternal cuddlebug! His precious meows always make me smile :)
As a former trauma nurse the concussion one has me LIVID…. The infertility one makes me angry but the brain trauma one I’m seeing Napalm 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
The wax was even on her eyelids, poor baby😢
Sure it’s a safer alternative to candles but it’s still hot, still has chemicals and still is NOT ok if it gets into the eyes!
UHM. NO MAAM!!!! 🤢😡🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

@@krisdiane it really feels and sounds like she's so far removed from it. like i know people grieve in different ways but she talks so casually about it and uses it to push her business and it sounds so cold.
@@krisdiane definitely sounds like shock, i feel so bad for her
I am a recent subscriber and you have quickly become one of my favorite UA-camrs! You have such a good head on your shoulders and I can tell you truly care about the people you talk about. Your videos are easy to understand and I have learned a lot about a subject I thought I knew pretty thoroughly. Keep fighting the good fight!
Me, just now: "Darn, I'm all caught up on Hannah videos."
Hannah: "Hi."
😂😂😂
It's bad.
Oh no way there’s raw chicken in my next top fails video! Let me guess…. Norwex Hun?
@@HannahAlonzo YUP!! 😂😂 Immediately thought of you. These people need to put down the raw chicken and walk away slowly.
This made me laugh” there’s raw chicken it’s bad” 😩😩😩😩😂😂😂😂😂
This comment section is so awesome!!!! I love this little corner that Hannah has created for us over here!!!! It gets better and better!!!!! Bravo!!!!!
I saw it! I fear for the mental health of these people.
Right?! She thought she was flexing but it’s the opposite. I’d be very turned off.
My dad died earlier this year and I choked up every time I talked about it for weeks afterward. Being able to say, with no inflection, oh, I buried my dad today, he supported me in this business so much... it's creepy. And sad what these commercial cults do to people and their natural emotions.
My favorite thing about watching anti-MLM content, are the MLM ads you get during the videos. It is just the icing on the cake.
Taking your time to grieve is strength! Bless her heart
YAY!!!! was just binging your channel & got the notification!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
You are a great person to be doing this because you don’t tear these people down. I really respect that and appreciate the way you handle this!
That sounds insanely traumatic 😢 I'm sorry for your loss and hope you are doing better now
@@nicollevelez8149 thank you! ❤ Mental scars are the hardest to heal. MLMs are so predatory. Just when I think they have gone as low as they can go, they never miss a chance to go lower.
Keep spreading awareness. Thank you! ❤️
Love your outfit in this video. The jewelry ties the whole look together nicely and your makeup looks fantastic!
I'm so heartbroken at that woman going to the conference after burying her dad. How absolutely despicable.
Glad you all had a good trip!!! I love listening to Zeke talk. It's the best.
I can't believe what the young living rep did... that is NOT okay
I was looking forward to this notification!! Thank you for the entertainment and education :)
“Sucks to suck”. That took me back.
Her inbox is as dry as the Sahara Desert 😂😂 You're hilarious! Love it ❤
Thank you, Hannah! I really needed your soothing voice today! ❤️
It is companies like this that makes my job very difficult ( I am a fitness professional too, so the Beachbody huns are a nightmare for this industry)
I feel very sorry for all these women, because like I mentioned I have my own horror stories as well, but thanks to great content like yours and the other anti boss babe creators out there hopefully more people will become educated and avoid falling into these money sucking,
🐂🐂lying cultish companies.
Thanks again for educating people, I wish channels like yours was around when I got sucked in years ago.
Have a fabulous day everyone.
I do not know your time zones but I'm watching this at 2 am. This is how much I've been waiting for this😊
I work a 9 to 5 job and make more than her a month! 😆 omg I wouldn't even be able to pay rent with that monthly income on top of all my other bills.
