i was REALLY excited to get this part because it gave me a chance to finally animate some characters that 1) WERENT warrior cat characters and 2) that ive had for like 3 years now??
Asteria is the tortie cat, and the shark-dog is Minnow!! Asteria's part is,,, OKAY, but, i much prefer Minnow's parts. they were a lot more fun to animate and i love him!!!
the theme of the map was somber and i really only remembered it after i sketched out the first two parts. so, i threw in the last sad part afterwards since Minnow IS a kinda sad dude. he loves Asteria (taking into account that this is a fantasy world with dragons n stuff, he's perfectly fine being in love with her !! theyre cute) but hes afraid she'll get hurt being around him, because 'everywhere he's gone nothing good happens', which is why he's sad in the last part- he's realizing it.
ALSO this is like the first time ive animated decent walk cycles which is really nice!!!! i like them a lot. they were fun!!

I love how the first walk cycle is so much bouncier than the second, even without facial expression it conveys the emotions so well. I like how the second one isn’t completely droopy tho like it’s still got bounce but it just doesn’t feel as lively, like it’s not outwardly sad but just sadness hidden under thinly veiled happiness

AA thank you!!!!!! along with making her more bouncy i animated Asteria on 2's, and Minnow was on 3's!!!! i wanted to show that she's a much happier and bubbly character than he is without outright saying it and im so glad that it does, for the most part, actually show!!!!!!
