i will give a very brief summary of the story
Gravelstar and Ivoryface, old friends turned enemies, make a deal: The two work together to get revenge on the clans. In Ivory's grief of being exiled from her clan, she agrees foolishly, not knowing the full extent of what exactly she's agreeing to. Gravelstar 'possesses' her (which is why her eye changes) and can- when he has enough energy- control her to some degree.
She kills one cat on her own will, but refuses to kill more afterwards. She got her revenge. Angry, Gravelstar demands she finish the job, because HE hasn't gotten HIS. After refusing, he takes matters into his own paws.
