Thanks for the video Jon. I’m loading up my ‘14 4Runner tomorrow with the same trailer. Got a lil over 1,000 miles to go with it so I am glad to hear it holds up well.
I'm getting ready to use my 4Runner to pull the same trailer from Utah to Michigan. Thank you so much for this video. It was exactly what I was looking for.
How did it go? I have a 2017 trd orp and we’re heading up in June towing this same trailer. How did your rig do? What size drop if any at all did you use?
@@stephenbeasley333 she towed like a champ but get used to the slow lane, especially on big hills. disengage cruise control before it drops you into 1st trying to keep up. no hitch drop used.
This helps so much! I have a 2011 Subaru Outback 6 cylinder , all wheel drive, and am moving this weekend from FL to NC and am pulling a 6 by 12. My biggest item is an L shaped sectional but scaled back alot otherwise. My mechanic and Uhaul have helped me... I am nervous. Driving alone with my dog. Whew, this helps!
Nice, love my 4Runner and I've never towed before - starting to realize it's definitely capable of hauling a motorcycle trailer. Oh, the possibilities... :D
The proper way to load is heavy in the middle (where both axle sits or one if you have single) and balance the remainder on the front and back. When you load heavy on the front, it basically put too much load on your tongue. Below is some proof. ua-cam.com/video/JeEEC5eVNCk/v-deo.html
Nice to find your video. I have a 2022 4Runner TRD sport and will be moving from Maryland to Texas. I plan to use the same trailer that you used. How was the gas mileage?
Question, I have a 14’ 4Runner and I would like to know what tow hitch is the best to use. I don’t plan to tow heavy possibly that same trailer or smaller. Thanks so much for your video
About to do a trip from OR to AZ with this exact 4 runner and trailer. Do i need that drop hitch? Or will a standard hitch that comes out be fine? Anyone can answer thatd be great thank you!
I went out and got the drop hitch after I hooked up to the trailer and saw it wasn't quite level. After loading up the trailer and it weighted down the 4runner, I realized I probably didn't need to. Either way is probably fine.
I’m doing a trip next weekend and was worried, I thought the surge brake that was on there was the one if it came loose that third chain would activate the brakes. So Im glad it is actually a surge in case of heavy braking, I have a 2017 4Runner Limited.

Can I ask how it went? And did you also use a 4inch drop or a 2”?
Thank you very much for this video! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for to configure my cross country trip with my 4Runner.
Thank you so much! Big help:)

You should of stayed in Utah. Looking to get out Michigan myself.

Glad it worked out, Im about to drive across Canada with my 4Runner and that trailer
Happy trails!

About to do a trip from SC to Utah myself with this trailer and my ‘15 4Runner, glad it holds up well!
How'd it go towing that kind of distance? Let us know if you have any tips since there's little info on this trailer with 4Runner's.

4Runner is rated for towing 5000lbs.
Rocco is beautiful!
I love your Toyota 4runner limited truck 👍

You are missing how to install the rear light and hitch setup.
GVWR of trailer is 4400 lbs, and uhaul states that you can load 2,480 lbs. Their website states that
Believe it or not you can tow this at full load with a RAV4 or CRV.
Good video. Thank you
That’s for video I am thinking about getting a cargo trailer too same size for my 4 runner ( limited addition is nice looking)
Good vid jon...
You didn't connect your chains properly, but I'm glad you had a great and safe trip

That was my question as well.
Average MPG?
Would you sell the car?

Hi men did you load a kong size mattress ?
I did not but the inner dimensions of the trailer are on the U-Haul site.

That’s a long trek. Good luck.

You don’t have to tell about your car so much. Only looking for hooking
You talk too much about lots of things no one cares. Wanted to see the hitch connection
